I went to Rutgers. I lived in that building behind the dude at 0:33. I was a LONG time back. Nirvana, Soundgarden and Pearl Jam were all in their prime. The seeds of this shit was there already. There was a feminist demonstration where they marched down the street chanting whatever they were chanting. (I wasn't there...I read about it in the school paper "The Daily Targum"). It was all women in the "march". A few men tried to show solidarity by cheering for the feminists as they passed and the women gave the men the finger and told them to F-Off. The story had some quotes from the guys and they were perplexed that they were so hatefully rejected when all they wanted to do was show support and solidarity. I remember the article actually being critical of the feminists for their hostility. I doubt you'd get any coverage like that today.

Girls are generally not interested in spending long hours studying esoteric bullshit and having their peer group be socially awkward nerd boys. My career is in engineering, this is what I've seen, and the women who make it in here tend to be the ones who don't give too many fucks about standard girl shit, or at least have a fascination with technology that outprioritizes that social stuff.
I don't feel it is discouraged, I feel they give up t0o quickly. I agree that the few girls I've met in my engineering courses are very into technology, but I disagree about them not being girly if you meant not being feminine, but if you meant being annoying and gossipy then yes your are 100% correct.

He's one of the few non liberal professors. Well one of his students showed up for class then the dip shit stopped showing up. He came to class finally with 2 weeks left to the semester. The kid tells him i need you to give me a passing grade. My family is coming to my graduation. My mom's cousin told him well i guess i will see you next semester. You shoukd have thought about that before you started ditching class.
The fact I even live in the same state with those people brings a faceplam to my face. At least that wasn't the Newark Rutgers. That being the party school Rutgers where people don't give a shit doesn't surprise me.

Even assessing the "dictionary defininition" of feminism alone, the word "equality" is extremely loaded and notoriously ill defined. There is a lot of social, ideological, biological, and yes even political baggage that comes with it. The subtext runs deep and there is an invisible game being played beneath the surface.

This is the standard response from feminists. It never seems to concern a feminist that this means that 99.999999% of feminists are behaving the opposite to what she claims it is all about. It never seems to dawn on them that it means their definition is wrong.
