Eloquent, suave, a twinkle in the eye, the self-deprecating humour, and for all that, he and Sir Sean are still good friends. Sir Roger Moore is one of those people who define being English. People who, when they are asked why they have not yet written their autobiographies (a bit of a gravy train), reply "I didn't want to embarrass or hurt anyone". He doesn't need the money, or the publicity. A gentleman.
My dad told me a story. When he was in the Army he was in an Island that Roger was filming on. On shore leave they were in a bar and in comes Roger. As soon as he realised they were british squadies he came over. My dad told me he was funny as hell as bought their drinks all night long.
J Williams I heard that on set the director would give him 15 minutes at the start of each day to just let go and tell his jokes and gags. He’d have everyone in stitches at the start of every day!
He is one of only a few famous people I'd love to meet. He seems to be a genuinely nice man. Whenever I've seen him in interviews he is always just so down to earth and and not at all up his own **** like so many famous people who think they are above everyone else just cause they're famous (like another bond actor whos name I won't mention). Roger - you are a legend, a gentleman and still devilishly handsome.
A great English gentleman, someone Britain can be proud of, I wish we had more like him. For me he was The Saint, manly, clever and all with such style😇
Moore was a SUPERB Bond - superb! I have just watched all 22 on blu ray, and Skyfall at cinema! All actors brought something to the role. Connery is not the best - he is great - but just the first. Moore rocks!
There will never ever be another man like Sir Roger Moore. He had the looks he was just so handsome and never lost his looks and charm. He was my favourite bond and I still watch his films today. Heaven gained a true saint as we lost a legend ❤❤❤❤❤❤
My favourite Bond is Sean Connery, but I still think Roger Moore is great! He wasn't "too old" to play Bond, I mean come on, he was much better than Daniel Craig or any other.
@SinAutor Of course not everyone that has played bond has played bond in there own way.You just have to have that cool side about you. As long as you have that your fine.
@paul266dog that's a horrible thought! but, sadly, true. I think when Alan Rickman and Richrad Curtis meet the King of Light Entertainment I the sky, I'll cry..
hes actually the worst James Bond ever, he just doesnt compare to Connery, Lazenby or Craig, actors who brought real subtlety and manliness to the role of Bond. Moore just raised his eyebrow a lot and gave pithy one liners.
Because, as he rightly pointed out, he played it as a comedy - a secret agent who EVERY bartender in the world knows his drink order on sight? He saved the franchise in the era of Star Wars & Smokey & the Bandit.
A true English gentleman. Polite, mild mannered, funny and handsome; he should be a role model for the youth of today.
@James Henderson Mark Harrison on another account. wanker

His voice alone is legendary. No matter how old he is, his voice and manner of speaking is the same... that's suave.
RIP Roger Moore, you will always be remembered as the most suave James Bond.
He was far too old to play Bond.
@@markharrison2544 Rubbish.... Connery was too bald to play Bond.
@@rnw2739 Moore wore a hairpiece in all his films. He was already losing his hair when "The saint" began.

Roger Moore was my favourite 007 - his seven movies were sheer entertainment!
He has a wonderful speaking voice!
I wonder if he ever did any audio books? That would have been amazing!
Roger Moore is quite boisterous, vivacious and winsome even as an octegenarian. He sparks the audiences with witty remininces and jolly imitations.
A great English gentleman, someone Britain can be proud of, I wish we had more like him. For me he was The Saint, manly, clever and all with such style😇

The only bond that forgive an enemy (JAWS) Roger moore, no sorry sir, Roger moore is a complete acting legend and a fine 007 at that
We don't see actors like this anymore. Moore was always my favorite Bond despite his movies being camp & some just down right terrible.
now I know why
Sir Roger More was Pure class
I wish I were as cool as roger moore
A Legend also in Crans Montana #TheMan!!!
he may be old but he still has it!!!!!!!!!
R.I.P Mr Bond.
That banana quip killed me 😂
funny thing's that the photo with Turner depicts Sean Connery in "Another time, another place"
So Nice.
Happy 82nd, Roger.
2 dislikes either from Stromberg or Hugo Drax

Moore was born in a navy blue suit with big gold buttons on the sleeve
he's quite old now. .89. .wow. .
Class 💜🙏
Legend
He will man. He's a cancer survivor and looks cool for an 85 y.o.
Sir Roger Moore
My favorite bond, but not the best. Was made for the part though, because he just had to be himself, the greatest gentleman in the world!
@SinAutor Of course not everyone that has played bond has played
bond in there own way.You just have to have that cool side about you.
As long as you have that your fine.
better add jaws to that list now lol
Nah, he was awesome throughout and didn't look old until A View To A Kill.
TALK ABOUT BOND!!!!
now 3: Stromberg, Drax, and Scaramanga
Connery...Moore...Brosnan
I want to meet Roger Moore!
I agree.
No. it was Max Zorin
The best bond after Connery
@ZUPERCURTIS yeah i guess you're right there, how boring would the franchise be if all the Bonds were the same
he sounds exactly the same!
the third is from Jaws
@paul266dog that's a horrible thought! but, sadly, true. I think when Alan Rickman and Richrad Curtis meet the King of Light Entertainment I the sky, I'll cry..
Dude, Roger was 46 in his FIRST role as JB so talk about old..
Woger was in Life of Brian you fool, he was the wunaway wapist, this is Roger.
agreed
@malcs0 Well said, my thoughts exactly.
i danas je neodoljiv
fuck a thought he was dead
yep, deffo
@krystlerita He is quite handsome. I only wish when I am 83 that I can still get women to swoon like he can.
@amarsbarr I disagree how is your statement true,if he did
the most.you got to have some what respect for him.
Those silly singers at the beginning..WHY?
are you insane?? he looks his age
who else thinks michael fassbender should be the next bond ??
Stfu
decent old school actors don't belong on Ross's smutty excuse for a chat show.

@92af you are a very bad troll
Shut up you fool
