To be honest, i used to love watching these videos....but as time has gone on and ive aged, the videos have not. Every upload is the same thing over and over again, nothing about the content really changes. Basically the same formula everytime. The constant complaining damn near every video is also tiring lowkey causing me to just watch other creators who dont complain about the game or lack of viewers every upload. If youd take the criticism from viewers and other cc youd probably be able to gain better viewership. This comment will go unnoticed for sure.
Except for the fact that many content creators have similar opinions to Wally in terms of how Rust has gone downhill in terms of both quality and gameplay. Wipes don't feel all that interesting to play anymore since many people are content with just quitting a wipe entirely after getting raided, when it used to be a rivalry that would persist the entire wipe (and if you play the same servers, through multiple wipes). Progression is just generally easier and there's no reason to invest days into a wipe anymore because you don't need to grind for important blueprints like Garage Door and Med Syringe when you can just tech tree them. Hell, the entire game can be played by just mindlessly farming roads and monuments since scrap can be used to buy literally everything you could ever want in Rust, albeit it is very inefficient to do so. Not to mention the fact that many people like Wally feel that their time investment into Rust has been thrown away and isn't appreciated since the removal of old recoil systems so spray patterns don't exist. It used to be if you knew a spray pattern good enough, you could hit with near-perfect accuracy at 100, 200, and even 300 meters assuming you were good enough and knew the gun you were using well enough (and the guy didn't move, of course). Now, there's not a reason to invest 5000+ hours into Rust since there's hardly going to be a skill gap in terms of accuracy. Sure, a skill gap will exist in terms of game sense, but that's not as rewarding as being able to clutch up 1v5+s because you're extremely good at recoil control.
As for complaining about lack of viewers, yeah, of course Wally is gonna complain about those when that's his source of income. Being a UA-camr is akin to running your own business (with a few less things to worry about). You need to keep people coming back and maintaining a steady source of income in order to stay afloat, otherwise you will sink.
