Those kind of memories he will cherish forever and you as well. What a great team of fishermen.
👍
Nice boat!
Thank you for showing what you used, happy to see kids fishing - subscribed
👍🏻
Fresh eggs and bacon while catching kokanee - living the life! Your son is charming and looks to make a good fishing partner.
what kind of boat are you running? i really like the set up with the table on the side and the space on the back end
It’s a Hewescraft Sportsman 200
Good job Serge. I was the one at the dock who said I like your videos. Looks like your son was having a blast. Went out and got my limit also. See you again.
Thank you Dan! That was a great day to be out on the water. 👍🏻
Just goes to show you Kokanee love bacon. ... Nice good memories for you and your son ❤️
Awesome video it brings back memories when me and my son used to fish the sound for salmon a few years ago how I miss that he’s all grown up now has his own life. How big is your boat I’m thinking of getting a new one I got rid of my old boat it was fiberglass and I’m thinking about aluminum one this time around
Thank you Carlos, we need to cherish the times we spend with our kids that's for sure! I have a 20' Hewescraft. Works out well for me!
Thanks man for sharing with us it’s so beautiful, spending time with your son catching Kokanee it’s awesome keep it up. Good job 👏 I love watching your videos.
Thank you. Its times like these that make memories for life for the kids and us adults as well. Thanks!
Great video and thank you for showing us what you’re using.
No problem 👍 Good luck this winter season.
Nice work Dad!!!
Thank you!
Love this lake and the scenery.
I enjoyed your videos tremendously. I have a similar boat except mine is a Sportsman 180 and I just have a Minn Kota Riptide Terrova. Need to upgrade to 24V lithium ion batteries this summer. Can't wait to try my hands at Merwin Reservoir kokanee soon.
Thanks! Here is a link to the batteries I have and that you might like. They are the only batteries on the market that will let you check your battery via bluetooth. You can see how much battery power you have remaining, the amount of amps being used at the current moment and so on. They're not always in stock but here's a link: amzn.to/3XpKLRK
Nice job Serge! Awesome to see your son fishing with you!👍🏻👌🏻 When did you go fishing?
Thanks Tony, that was a trip we made last week.
@@Pacific_NW nice 👍🏻 was there this Saturday on my kayak got limit by 9:30 👍🏻 they bite pretty good now.
Awesome video and great time with the kiddo. Do you ever use the 9.9? I get my Sportsman on Wed and plan on adding a kicker but might just use the trolling motor for a while
For the kind of fishing I do, my 9.9 is for backup/safety. If anything happens with my main motor when I'm in the middle of the river 30 min away from the dock Ill always get back. Not something you can do with the electric motor.
Yeah main reason I will be putting one on mine. Lots of people down here Kokanee troll with the kicker pushing and use the bow mount just for steering. Can get away with a lighter 12v set up that way.
Looks like a great day! Is the bait table that you have custom made and does it just have brackets that go on either side of the boat to hold it in place? Also, how do you like the electric trolling motor and anchor nest combo? I am thinking of doing this on my boat, but wondered if it would be too tight or awkward to have the nest in addition to my electric motor. Thanks for any feedback you have. Great videos!
Thanks JD, I had to custom make the table myself as I could not find anything on the market that I liked. Removable brackets is what I used on mine. Anchor nest and trolling motor work out well together, It is a little difficult to install the trolling motor when you have the anchor nest in place, just really hard to reach in to the side when getting the nuts tightened.
Nice catch! So you don't have to use downriggers to catch them? How deep they were located? And what speeds did you go? Thanks Serge.
Thanks Russ, The we’re anywhere between 15’-25’ deep for the most part. 1.3-1.5 is the speed I usually try to stay in between to get best results!
Hey Serge quick question, did you use a sinker on your like what size or what setup, thanks
You must be a millionaire to afford to buy eggs
The way things are looking, we’re all going to be broke millionaires soon!
I've never been to Merwin lake, but I am planning to check out the Kokanee fishing next summer with a Romanian family next summer.
The 3 kids love fishing from docks, so this is my way to giving them experiences they never had in Romania.
I am building an 18-foot Dory going to be powered by a 40 hp outboard because my 30-foot open jet boat is Hugh and with a 500 hp Chevrolet 402 big block fuel would kill my bank account towing the boat and running the boat.
I went to the Kalama R to fish 2 days ago then the fuel cost me $85 from Beaverton Oregon to Kalama and back home.
I am watching these videos to see what fishermen are doing to get an idea how this is done.
Wonderful. Hopefully these videos will help you get on the fish. Good Luck!
@@Pacific_NW You could possibly watch the video from the fishing next summer.
I am restarting a business making fishing lures called Lure Benson because my last name is Benson so remember Lure Jensen, yeah now there is Lure Benson.
I am currently down with 2 of my trucks used for towing but hope one I can get back on the road soon waiting on weather to start up the new 383 stroker SB Chevrolet engine built for towing.
