I just learned, if you're running a modloader like forge or fabric, this will not work and your fps will still cap at 60 or 144. Optifine does uncap and to 100% fix it you need to go to video settings, max fps, and instead of using VSync, max it to unlimited. After I did this, I maxed 720 fps.

For people who have high end PC's its most likely you have an ultimate powerplan option, check that in control panel before importing, cause you may just waste your time.

This command imports the ultimate performance power plan. This power plan makes your CPU cores disabled idle and parking and it allows the CPUs to work at maximum power and it disabled usb saving settings

it didnt improve my fps. it just made it stable so usually i would get 200 to 300 fps and it would drop down alot. if i turn on custom sky but now its pretty stable. So i'd perfer using it if you actualy have a good fps amount already and its just dropping
