I have a 7 month old with erbs palsy. Right now she obviously doesnt do what this 2 year does, but this was a really informative look to the future for me. My daughter is in PT and OT 3 times a week, but I am always looking for movements to do at home with her. I love how this video showed the injury in motion at different angles. Thank you for sharing.
Hi ,i am physiotherapist from Sri Lanka.your videos were very helpful for me during management.thanks alot. Recently i got a baby (preterm)for early intervention with several post natal risk factors of CP.do i need to worry about putting her in prone position to facilitate head control??Will it cause any further damage to streched nerves??
Glad to see this little girl moving her arm, God bless her and continue her healing. My baby's turning 1 month old on November 12 and she can't move her left arm. We have noticed it when we're already at home from the hospital. We went to a clinic of an orthopedic and the doctor told me its brachial plexus. Is it true that it can be healed in a period of two months? The ortho' told me to just observe her arm as there is nothing he or I can do about it. I hope someone here can tell me what to do instead of just observing while doing nothing. I am crying for my baby's situation and it breaks me seeing her not moving her left arm.
@@fp8688 Thank you for asking. She's now able to move her left arm but not as strong as her right arm. I think it needs more time to completely heal. There's problem with her elbow as well, dislocated bone and it is facing forward unlike the normal elbow. We'll be seeing an orthopedic when we will have enough budget. She's 5 months now.
Hi Janese!!!! It is Donna M. the OT from Long Island. I have a little girl with dx brachial plexus and found this...You!! Contact me if you want to catch up!! Loved seeing you, you sound great. Beautiful treatment!
Mine is about the same as hers but is on the right side. I have a little bit more lock to my elbow. :) She's so cute. Yay!! Great job working with her.
My 18 month old daughter has brachial plexus injury, in April this year she had a nerve transfer surgery. She is still healing and going through therapy but she doesn’t have much strength on her right arm or the affected arm. I would like to contact the parents of the child in the video and ask about her progress. I think the child in this video is doing so much better than my daughter as far as using her arm.
Rhinna Singh I am 12 years old and I have brachial plexus injury in my right arm as well. I’ve never had surgery or did any therapy when I was younger but my arm is very strong. I am hopeful your daughters arm will become strong too.
@@dropdead8077 was that the birth injury? My daughter is also having BP injury from birth. She is 3months old now, showing good improvement, lifting arm above head and all.
