Do you know if the Sheffield Carols tradition in Massachusetts came across with Sheffield cutlery workers who migrated to work at places like Lamson Goodnow?
The Royal has been my local home for carols for years, and that's just the way I know them. I know there are some unusual traditions (and the odd extra verse) there, but then, the carol traditions are different in every village and that's part of what makes them so special.
I do agree! Not the same without a pub rammed full of friends and a little something from Bradfield Brewery. But there's no going indoors here either, and our village pub just closed for the winter anyhow, to re-open sometime in the spring (when the weather's fair enough for the beer garden).
