Thank you for this tutorial!!! I just made this today and it's one of the most realistic and beautiful gum paste flowers I've ever been able to make, thanks to you! 🖤
I LOVE LOVE this rose..I made one - it came out BEAUTIFULLY - thank you so much for your clear instructions and for sharing your knowledge! From being my worst flower (I have tried so many versions) it has became my most loved flower because of this video.
Hi my sweetheart, I love your rose today, I made some like this , but they didn’t look as beautiful as yours, it’s just my mums had a yellow rose like it and I wanted to make them for a cake I was doing , but I’m going to have a go at your ones, they are out of this world thank you 🙏 xxxxxxx
Hi lovely, Thank you so much for taking the time out to comment and for liking my work.❤. Awww, that's okay my love, just keep practicing and have a go with my method & they'll turn out even better than mine. ☺. Please send me the end result too, would love to see!
Amazing! I’ve attempted this before following a different tutorial and the flower head got pretty heavy and slid down the wire a bit and was dragging on the fondant where it was placed on the cake due to the weight. Now the styrofoam trick, genius! Takes the bulk of the weight off, will definitely try this. Thank you x
Thank you Wani! That is correct, because these flowers are really heavy, having the styrofoam bud works wonders and the flower doesn't get too bulky or heavy. How did you get on?😊
Thank you so much for sharing this tutorial! its so kind of you, its one of the best ones I have seen. You have explained everything so well. I look forward to your next one xx
Hello, thank you , beautiful rose. I would like to try one but could you please tell me what size poly ball and what size petal cutters you are using. I see the links to buy but this takes you to the full sets. Thank you so much
Hi there, Thank you so much! The ball is 5cm and the two cutters I've used: One is 1.7" in length & 1.4" in width. Second is 2" in length & 1.6" in width. 😊
Hi hope you’re having a fab day, I finally uploaded my attempt on your page, couldn’t upload on here...I can see the mistakes I’ve made but I guess practice makes perfect. Thank you so much for your generosity xx
Hey, Thank you so much! I thought you wouldn't have been able to upload here but thank you for taking the time out to upload it to the group💞. I'm glad it helped and yes practice definitely makes perfect. Keep at it. 😊
Hi, thank you so much for this informative and simple video. "I really like the dresden technique you used to curl the petals...i would say this is more a O'Hara Rose which is very much in fashion atm. beautiful end result and very realistic, thanks :)
Hi Asma! Thank you so much! I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed the tutorial.😊. Yes the O'Hara rose is very much similar to the Heritage rose. There are countless varieties of sugar flowers, and some do resemble each other a lot with the way they look but still have different names and you would easily be able to turn this into an O'Hara rose and vice versa if you wanted as well as a David Austin rose as they all look very alike. I will share my version of that particular rose very soon.💞.
@@GourmetGateaux ahh thank you for your reply, i look forward to seeing many your other videos...just a suggestion, if you add o hara rose to your description i am positive you were get many more likes and views...one of the best videos ive seen on this flower, beautiful work :)

Hi there, You can use any size of craft ball you prefer for this style of rose, it really doesn't matter. It will still turn out the same. You would just have to adjust the petals accordingly.😊 Mine was a 5 cm craft ball.

Beautiful! May I ask about how long the petals sit in the apple tray?
Hi Catherine,
Thank you! I only leave them in there for 10 - 15 minutes. They just need to be able to hold the cupped shape.😊
