I got emotional, so at Komeji's somnium I had him try to protect Shoma. I knew it was the wrong call (in terms of not progressing the investigation) the moment I wasn't seeing memories anymore.
But when I followed the opposite path...that one felt right. I was actually progressing on the investigation. Does this make me a messed up person ? Or simply a coldly efficient one ?
I ask this, because this isn't the first time this saga reveals the worst about me. It happened also back at the first game, when I felt nothing for Iris and Ota in "Anhilation", focusing more on the progress I was having on the investigation (on a side note, I still hate Iris on this game).

But you advance the investigation in this timeline. Just look at all the info Shoma gives you. He tells you about Chihara's genome experiments, the catedral and where it is (Ryuki doesen't know about this yet because of the flowchart gimmick) and Tearer being the one after the kidnapping wich connects him with Horidori institute.
Also, because Ryuki is hurt hew will fall into Tearer's trap and betray Bibi who now has more than enough time to investigetae the secret room of Horidori and find the slicer.
This is a best case scenario.

@@benjulc9271 then it's time for the second reason I didn't like this route.
I did not like repairing the broken things in his mind. It felt like I was trying to promote his idealized world further. I believe more in taking a peek into the cracks over glueing them together in a poor attempt at trying to stop being sad. Because you must feel that sadness. No matter what Shoma tells himself, his anger was genuine. He did not hate him. But he did hate what he did. And to not value that perspective keeps you from seeing all options to leave your broken state.
