So from what I understand on rainbow six siege it’s running on 60 fps so I would want to run synchronization on common but what would I set my polling rate to?
Hello od1n Which synchronisation mode offers the best accuracy with a mouse??? Does polling rate effect my mouse accuracy?? And what factors|settings can offer me the best mouse accuracy?? Ps5 120hz destiny 2
Hey, the best overall accuracy is probably provided by sync default. Yes the polling rate can affect your accuracy, in a negative way. If your mouse cannot consistently poll at the rate your XIM is set to then this can cause mouse stutter, which reduces your acciracy. The best mouse accuracy can be achieved by using the correct sensitivity, thats the most important aspect. A large share of players use sensitivities that dont match their dexterity level. Thats the main difference between PC Pros and normal gamers, the pros are using sensitivities that perfectly match their dexterity. My "ultimate mouse sensitivity" video shows a method on how to find your own most optimal sensitivity if you are interested in that.
Lovely video, I’m on 250Hz Sync OFF using the MJFAME config, i was struggling a bit in the beginning bcs I switched from 1000Hz too 250Hz and I lowered my sensitivity for more aim assist and this works perfect for me i feel that the aim assist is more stronger.
I love these quick informative videos, thank you! So if I understand correctly, I would get the best aim assist quality/response by setting the xim polling rate to 125hz, and off sync for my hip/ads if I'm playing a game (cod/bf) that runs at 120fps? I've since switched to 250hz and off sync based on the info in the last video and it feels great, so if I understood right I'm excited to give this setup a try!
I would suggest to use a higher polling rate with sync default, common or slow as a minor desync can then otherwise result in your packets being send on the next cycle. When playing sync default 125hz that would mean your packages can get delayed by 8 milliseconds while with 1000hz it would only be 1 millisecond.
Hello, I am on the lookout for your videos, I have my Halo 5 with 250Hz and synchronization off to what you said in your previous video, do you think that configuration is fine or should I modify the polling cup, I await your answer friend.
@@XIMCentral Thanks for answering, if it feels good friend, I'll stick with that configuration. excellent videos thanks to your previous video improve the shots a lot
I've been using my Apex on PC and it's worked rather well so far even though it's only made for console. Would you recommend I use Sync OFF and 1000Hz for PC considering PC can utilise the full 1000Hz?
If the PC game was made for inputs being accepted at such a high rate then yes, you can absolutly go for it. If your mouse movements turn out to be stuttery or skip then reduce the polling rate or add some smoothing.
So am I correct in understanding….if I’m using an XBoxOne for R6, I should be using “common” sync instead of “default?” I believe the frame rate is 60fps for this game. I currently have my Corsair (3200dpi) mouse and Apex device set to 500Hz polling. I created a new config today after doing a full Apex games download. I’m using a standard 780p 60 Hz TV as my monitor. The setting feels fairly smooth. I’m pretty sure I got all these settings from a recent video of yours. After following the instructions in the mouse sensitivity video, I landed on a HIP sensitivity of 34. That seems about right.
I think the concept here is….Siege on XBoxOne will run at 60fps, one way or another. At some point in the chain, the data input will need to be whittled down to this. It sounds like if I leave the XIM on default, I’m leaving this scaling down to the XBox. If I set the XIM to common, the XIM is doing it. Kind of like audio. You can record and process audio at 24bit/96k all you want, but eventually it will need to be output at 16bit/44.1 for CD.
Hey, if you wish to sync your inputs to the framerate of your monitor then yes, you can use sync common. Most Ximmers use sync default though as this gets them closer to the amount of packets that the console expects to receive. To perfectly match what the console is asking for you can go sync off and 250hz on the XIM. Then your XIM runs on the same polling rate and inputs per second as the console controller.
so the sweet spot is 250Hz for consoles, but what about PC? i use xim apex on PC as controller input. lets say i play call of duty, does PC version also made as console version of the game so best result is with 250Hz? or PC version will be best with 1000Hz. i have 70-90 fps in the game on 144hz monitor
Hey, thats something im actually not sure about. I would say try 125hz, 250hz and 500hz to see which one gives the best result on PC. It might even differ from game to game.
Finally this is explained. Now can work on settings with more understanding of what you are actually doing, instead of trial and error method. So are you saying that if we set Sync Default (Example) - no point to have XIM refresh rate in global settings above 125Hz?
I would still recommend to stay with 500/1000hz for sync default, common or slow. Imagine a very short desync between the console and XIM, this would cause your input package to not be accepted by the console at the current but at the next possible time which with 125hz is 8 milliseconds later. With higher polling rates this wont matter since the next package is accepted much sooner.
I use xim on PC playing fortnite at 240fps - what sync and mouse polling rate do you recommend? If I understand you properly I should be using off sync and 250hz polling ? What mouse dpi?
Yes thats what i would recommend. DPI is independent from this and will more or less influence how much aim assist you will have. Higher values result in less aim assist and lower values in more aim assist. You shouldnt go lower than around 1600 dpi though.
Hey man great video,I'm playing destiny 2 on series at 120 Hz what polling rate and settings would you recommend for more responsiveness and aim assist, thanks
@@XIMCentral thanks man,I've tried out the AJ frame confiq with the 250 Hz trick it's very good but I would like it a bit quicker does the dpi have to be 800 for it to be the most effective are could I put it up abit
There honestly is no right or wrong as there are so many things to consider, delay, aim assist, mouse movement quality, ... there isnt one best settings but your settings sound really really good ;).
Hey, i recently made a new PUBG video and i would recommend the synchronization used in that tutorial. I dont memorize the value anymore though, but after lots of testings that one worked out the best. Its explained in the video.
Thanks for the video. But can you still clear up which is the better and more preferable Sync choice for Rainbow Six PS4. Since we get just 60 FPS and what will be the better option for PS5 Siege as it gets around 120 FPS?
Hello! I have a question about sync off, for having sync off do I need to put 250hz on just xim app or my mouse also? For example if I put 250hz with sync off on the app can I have my mouse on 1000hz or does it need to be 250hz as well?
@@soloitaliano1247 It will make no difference, your XIM will just accumulate the packets of a higher polling rate and bundle them to the one the XIM uses.
hello im back again :) for ps5 overwatch at 60 fps on off sync, 250 hz is better if I understand right? or 125 hz? also should I match polling rates on both devices? (g pro wireless)
Hey, as long as the mouse polls the same or faster than the XIM you are fine. As for the other question, you have to test those settings for a few games to find out which one is the best. They will primarily influence the aim assist and thats a personal preference thing, so its therefore not really possible to say which one (objectively) is the best.
Hey, i should have covered that in my "Competitive Apex Legends Config" video. I dont recall the answer right now so id say look it up in that video if necessary! :)
What response rate with OFF sync would be best for Xbox one S for apex legends? I thought it ran at 60fps; and in your recent video you use 250hz. Sorry I’m confused 😕
Hey, that depends on if you want more aim assist or a closer PC mouse experience. Based on that pick a sync that suits this the most. The majority of Ximmers will prefer something in between which can be achieved by 1000hz/500hz and sync default for example.
@@XIMCentral i'm from PS4 pro, and i prefer a closer PC mouse experience and minimum input lag possible, now i use a MJFame config with 250hz It Is not bad

I will be waitting for your recommendations on your test it on your new 120 fps monitor, but until that i will still playing on 1000hz and 120 fps.
Hey, this sounds like you prefer very responsive mouse movements. Going sync off 250hz on 60fps games is somewhat similar to sync off 1000hz for 120fps games. In both cases you use a sync/refresh rate higher than the framerate of the game which usually result in very responsive and PC like mouse movements. @@nanexxvii Hey, the sensitivity changes are due to the game developers changing the ingame aim mechanic. The XIM has no influence over such a change and can only follow those changes by updating the ST/config translator via an ingame donwload (and then new config creation).
I’m only just realizing Titan 2 has polling rates you can change. Should that be changed to match the polling rate I’m using on the xim? Currently really liking the sync off with 250hz
Yes absolutly, your Titan should match your XIM polling rate. Otherwise the Titan will force the console into 1000hz mode while the XIM wants to communicate with 250hz.
@xim central I bought a Xim apex and I have been using the Xim 4 for a long time. I have curves I use on my XIM4 how would I change the coding of the curve to work for the Xim apex.
If you go from Common to OFF (250 Hz) then multiply Sensitivity by 4. The other video called *XIM Apex - Secret Aim Assist Settings From Alpha Testers* mentions this conversion at offset 2 minutes, 53 seconds.
The Cronus Zen has a 10 millisecond cycle at max from what i know so you should set your XIM to 125hz. For a perfect sync i would recommend to use a Titan Two.
Hey, as long as the mouse polls at the same frequency or faster then the XIM you are fine. For BO4 i think default worked out the best, but for the actual values i would recommend to watch my dedicated BO4 config video.

Yes its ideal for 30fps games and will also basically boost the aim assist in games with more fps. The best settings highly depend on what you want to achieve, more aim assist, better mouse movements, ... A good middle ground setting which is decent in all of these areas is sync default 500/1000hz or sync off 250hz.
u previous video u did say we can get more aim assist at 250 polling hate and syn off. but if i play at 60fps, i should put syn common? and 120 i should put in default?
If you want to sync your inputs to the framerate then use sync common for 60fps. If you want more aim assist use the 250hz sync off trick. Both are different approaches and it depends on what your intention is or how you want your mouse movements to feel. Pick the one that feels the best to you! :)
Both settings have advantages and disadvantages in terms of aim assist and mouse movements, i would recommend you to try both and then stick to the one that feels best.

Hey, in that case you cannot achieve the sensitivity because it only goes until 500. Instead double your mouse DPI so you can set your ADS to 342 instead to have the same turnspeed.
Hey, that depends on the mouse and game. Usually its best to try common, default and off in your favourite game and stick to the one that feels the most comfortable and accurate.
Hey, that depends on how much aim assist you want. If you want an aim assist oriented setup then go with the sync from my most recent OW config video, if you want a PC feeling then with the sync from the OW config video before that.
@@XIMCentral cause i watch the secret video u said the game with less 62hz need to play with common so i thought i should switch and u said that 1000hz its not usefull but in ow guid you recommend 1000hz so am confused can u explain
@@smurfonly5225 Hey, i did two OW config videos (my two most recent ones). Both configs are still valid. One aims towards the closest PC feeling, the other to maximixe aim assist while maintaining muscle memory. Neither of the two has the aim to only boost aim assist. This is not desireable in OW as you can fine tune the aim assist via the ingame settings anyway. So these secret aim assist settings are more valiable in games with (close to) no ingame aim assist customization. Since OW offers you to completely adjust the aim assist though the main aim assist boost comes from the ingame settings itself.

Hello od1n
Which synchronisation mode offers the best accuracy with a mouse???
What game you playing
Warzone
You kept your mouse at 1000 hz or you also lower it to 250?
@@rafalonso13 yes i keep it at 1000hz, you don’t have to lower it.
I did the same and it works perfect with 120FPS on the ps5 in warzone.
@@mathialba sweet thanks for the input, can't wait to try it out!
Yes exactly! If it feels too sluggish though then try 250hz instead as it makes the mouse movements noticeably more responsive :).
@@XIMCentral awesome, thanks for the response! It's always fun learning something new with the xim.
@@conner490 you gonna try sync off at 125?
Nice Video🔥 Thank You XIM❤️
Does the polling rate have any affect on default sync? For example, would 1000hz + default and 125hz + default have the same feeling ?
I would suggest to use a higher polling rate with sync default, common or slow as a minor desync can then otherwise result in your packets being send on the next cycle. When playing sync default 125hz that would mean your packages can get delayed by 8 milliseconds while with 1000hz it would only be 1 millisecond.
@@XIMCentral Thanks for the advice and the reply! :)
Finally someone confirms that 125hz and off is xim 4 settings.

Hey, those settings are a great pick for Halo 5, no need to change anything if you enjoy the gaming experience with those! :)
@@XIMCentral would I then drop my mouse to 250Hz as well?
@@ericruddphotography You can do that but its not necessary. As long as your mouse polls on the same frequency or a higher one you are fine.
@@XIMCentral thank you.
so the sweet spot is 250Hz for consoles, but what about PC? i use xim apex on PC as controller input. lets say i play call of duty, does PC version also made as console version of the game so best result is with 250Hz? or PC version will be best with 1000Hz. i have 70-90 fps in the game on 144hz monitor
Hey, thats something im actually not sure about. I would say try 125hz, 250hz and 500hz to see which one gives the best result on PC. It might even differ from game to game.
@True what settings or curve you running?
You shouldnt go lower than around 1600 dpi though.
thank you!
Hey man great video,I'm playing destiny 2 on series at 120 Hz what polling rate and settings would you recommend for more responsiveness and aim assist, thanks

Hey, the current ST for RB6 is outdated and a new one is currently being made, until then its quite difficult to say which sync performs the best.
Hello! I have a question about sync off, for having sync off do I need to put 250hz on just xim app or my mouse also? For example if I put 250hz with sync off on the app can I have my mouse on 1000hz or does it need to be 250hz as well?
Hey, its sufficient to only change your XIM polling rate for as long as your mouse runs on the same, or a higher polling rate.
@@XIMCentral thanks for responding! Would it even make a difference with a higher polling rate on mouse with sync off and 250hz on xim app?

What response rate with OFF sync would be best for Xbox one S for apex legends? I thought it ran at 60fps; and in your recent video you use 250hz. Sorry I’m confused 😕

Great video man! The best sync and hz for Warzone for you?

One of my next projects will be a "best xim settings for 120fps games" video, I already got the monitor but i need to do some testings to find out what works best first! :)

Those are really good settings for D2 tbh! :)
So if i got this video right, i should use 125Hz synchronization Default, for 120hz games? (PS5)
Yes if you want to sync your mouse movements to the framerate of the game. Alternatively you can also go Sync off and 125hz.
@@XIMCentral will give it both a try, currently using 250Hz and synchronization off, feels good to
@xim central I bought a Xim apex and I have been using the Xim 4 for a long time. I have curves I use on my XIM4 how would I change the coding of the curve to work for the Xim apex.
Hey, the only way is to manually redo them, theres no way to transfer a curve between the two XIM models.
So I’m on common so do I divide it or multiply sorry I’m confused for 250hz
If you go from Common to OFF (250 Hz) then multiply Sensitivity by 4. The other video called *XIM Apex - Secret Aim Assist Settings From Alpha Testers* mentions this conversion at offset 2 minutes, 53 seconds.
So are you saying 1000hz default and 500hz default have different speeds? I only noticed the difference when I have the sync on "off".
They are the same, the polling rate will only affect your mouse movements when you use sync off :).
Can I ask what polling rate works best with the cronus zen thanks
The Cronus Zen has a 10 millisecond cycle at max from what i know so you should set your XIM to 125hz. For a perfect sync i would recommend to use a Titan Two.

What setting should I use in BO4 , and should I match the same pulling rate on mouse to xim?

Most Ximmers will prefer either common or default, but id highly recommend you to try 250hz and sync off as well as thats a setting most people never tried but has great potential.
I think the game normally runs at 80fps on the console but with the recent release got capped to 59. At least thats what i heard, im not sure if its true.
If you do that anti recoil thing to us
That will be super cool..
If u can make it without any mouse shifting..
What if i used xim and cronus zen will i get that no recoil ?
Also is cronus zen shifts down when using no recoil ,?
Sorry for those questions but im really
Trying to get answers thanks
Hey, Cronus + XIM has a bad compatibility, get a Titan Two instead. Yes recoil scripts also have downsides similar to the trick that i showed in my automated recoil video.
Thank you and any recent update on the new xim device
No update yet other than July unveil (probably).
@@XIMCentral hey my controller will not show up on the app even tho it’s connected the mouse and keyboard do but the controller does not ? Do you have a fix ?
@@XIMCentral I’m useing an Xbox one x not the series x the one x and it’s a controller that did not come with the Xbox on I bought separately
@@cpratt2544 Hey, it might be a slim/one x controller or one of the new series x/s controllers. Either way update your XIM Firmware to the latest beta firmware, if that doesnt solve it then it could be the cable between the XIM and the controller.
So the mjfameconfig is too fast at 250hz on off, even with the curve maxed out. Would you try going to 500hz or should i lower the dpi?
Hey, adjust your XIM Sensitivity from 500 to 125 to keep the same speed as before with the MJFame config.
@@XIMCentral wouldn't that make it even faster? I thought mjfame was 1000hz on off? So 1000hz would be the slowest?
@@RandyMoss84vikes Yes exactly, and when you go from 1000hz to 250hz your sensitivity will be 4 times faster hence just set the XIM sensitivity for MJFame from 500 to 125hz :).
@@XIMCentral 250hz is too fast, so 125hz would be even faster
does xim apex work on ps5 version of siege? if so, how to i configure it?
Yes it does, see my "PS5 Compatibility Video" on the actual setup details :).
So if i play a game on the xbox series X at 60 Fps and i use the xim that is then plugged into another device capable of running at any polling rate the xim can run at and has the ability to select an input polling rate and output polling rate. What should these be set at to make them run effectively? Should my polling rates match on both devices?
Yes i would say have both of them running on the same polling rate.
@@XIMCentral would it make more sense to have mouse and Key/ xim to 1000hz then the input of the second device to 1000hz but output to 250hz? That way it is getting the information to the second device as fast as possible but only sending information to the xbox at its acceptable polling rate?
what’s your xim settings in rainbow six siege r6
Hey, for that see my "Competitive RB6 Config" video that i uploaded not too long ago :).
so would i need to run common sync for siege?
Id say wait first until the new RB6 ST is out before settling on a sync! :)
What's the best setting for playing games at 120fps?
I recently got a 120hz monitor and will test that soon! :)
@@XIMCentral nice one , yeah it's so much smother , enjoy 😁
Does this mean if you are series s you should use defualt and if you are old gen you should use common? This is for r6
Hey, both the new and old Xbox runs on 250hz natively so default should perform best on both consoles unless you go snyc off 250hz. That is of course if you want to match your inputs to the processing loop of the game.
@@XIMCentral ty for the response, i play 1000hz. I find common best for me idk default doesnt feel smooth/consistent at all for me
Do you have a Xim aux that a could possibly control the new ash recoil 🤣🤣? Because every time I do the auto recoil aux where everytime you shoot it’s supposed to pull down it doesn’t work for me idk why I was wondering if you could just copy and paste maybe a default one and I could adjust the % so it works please ?
Hey, try higher values for Ash as with the most recent nerf her weapon has a ton of recoil. Also use the flash hider to reduce the vertical kick :).
@@XIMCentral I was wondering could you paste a Xim auxiliaries setting so I could try higher values because it doesn’t work for me at all when I set auxiliaries it doesn’t kick down automatically it only does it when I move my mouse it’s weird so I was wondering if you have just one you’ve used so I can just use and set my settings onit and use a higher value please?
@@Vu1gr Hey, this just means your currentl value isnt high enough yet. Some games require higher values before you even see some movement. The clips from this video have been done with the old aiming mechanic, Ubisoft changed it a while ago so the values from this video will have to be higher for RB6 now.
So default and 1000hz is way to go with siege?
In my opinion yes, it feels the best.
for ww2 ps4 what is the best ?
Hey, for that check out my dedicated WW2 config video. Im no longer sure what the best one for that game is but it should be explained in the video :).
Are you planning on making a Rust Console Edition config tutorial?
I can add it to the list!
@@XIMCentralplease fast haha
For me slower is better I can understand better
hello, if we but sync default at 1000hz the rate of the xim is at 125hz or 1000hz, seeing that the default changes between at 125hz, thank you
Hey, what do you mean exactly?
1000hz défaut sync same 125hz sync off ?
@@gugus42 Yes they are basically the same.
Is there a way to have double movement on the xim?
Thats not possible at the moment, if you would like to see that please share your request in the XIM Feedback Forum so it can be considered for future firmware versions.

Can you help me to fix the Azeron? I have a Xim4 but my Ps4 don't see the analog stick. Please help me! 😭😭
Hey, i think the Azeron has to be put into a specifc mode to work with the XIM, the Azeron homepage should have instructions on what to do when using it with a XIM.
Is there a way to make a sub config reactive right away after deactivation without another button press? I’m trying to make something easier and I can’t figure it out
Hey, there is no deactivation trigger for sub configs so no, you cannot have a sub config activate by no longer pressing a key/button.
@@XIMCentral Since you're far more experienced with xim could you help me make crouch strafing effective and easy in apex legends? I've spent a lot of time and everything I can do is clunky or messes other things up
@@CevsyOld How does crouch strafing work? What kind of button sequence do you have to press?
@@XIMCentral While strafing left and right you hold crouch long enough that it lowers your model and you repeat it over and over while strafing. When you do it right your character looks like they bob up and down while moving making it harder to be hit
When will the xim apex work with ps5 is there a date or time that’ll it’ll finally work ?
It does work, there are tutorials on the XIM Central channel showing you how to get it working.
Hey, its working for several months already, see my "PS5 Compatibility Update" video for the best solution :).
what't the best sync and polling for RB6 this season??, cuse it feels weird this season on aiming.... my mouse support 1000hz tho
I got my mouse on 1000hz my app 250hz and synchronization off

When I use 250hz on the XIM & synchronization off, I get way too much aim Assist and is hard to land my shots onto the opponent. Is there a way for me to try to break the AA? I also tried 250hz on mouse and 1k hz as well. I don’t what hz to run neither for a g502 hero
Super high dpi man
Max DPI, 125hz and Default sync are the best settings I've ever used, nothing else comes close.
I been running 25600 dpi with synchronization off and still get way too much I don’t know why neither what what HZ to run for the mouse
@@Zombies8MyPizza how does that feel what hip and Ads do you use? Any curves with your configs?
@@andrewtorres7604 Mouse polling doesn't matter much as long as it's equal to or higher than your XIM polling. So if you're using 250hz on the XIM then anywhere between 250-1000hz on your mouse will produce the same result since the input is capped at whatever the XIM is set to.
My HIP and ADS values are basically irrelevant as the values and ratios will change from game to game as the translators are different. For Black Ops 4 as an example though as that's currently my main game, I use 4.5 on HIP and 2.8 on ADS. Plain curve on HIP and RML anti aim assist curve #6 on ADS.
I have been using 500hz. I really wanted to try 250hz but I was afraid I would mess all my configs up. I like my fortnite configuration, but have had a hard time finding something for apex legends that feels right.
Hey, see the conversion sheet in the video on how you can maintain the same sensitivity when changing your sync or polling rate! With that sheet your mouse sensitivity will stay the very same! :)
