More bulbs! We want a total estimate of bulbs.... easily 200+ I bet. Nice work and nice time of year to do the work. I kinda like the aspect of you never know what you will find! I was planting bulbs in an area that was a driveway the other day....below six inches there was compacted rock that used to be a base for blacktop. Surprisingly things don't seem to mind and the plants put in last year are growing well... Would also love another tour sometime... More keeps coming together and it's fun to get a picture of it all. Keep on keeping on👍
@@ericjorgensen8028 yes so far I've gotten over 200 in the ground, I'd have to sit down and count to really figure out how many LOL. And digging up trash adds a bit of interest I guess. Not sure if any other UA-cam gardening channels deal with that. At least not on the scale that I have to deal with it. I did manage to dig up a couple more slabs of concrete in the new entryway Garden the other day when adding more pink daffodils to that area. I'm convinced that instead of removing the trash from the property they just got a load of dirt to cover everything up. At least what the woods didn't hide. The garden is getting quite larger I guess a tour would be nice at least to see the layout of the paths in different Garden spaces I have
Dang, that was a lot of work! I wish I had your energy still! I probably would’ve cried! lol! Like “damn, can a girl just plant something in the ground without the local dump showing up also??” Kudos tho Whitney! You never give up and “keep on keeping on” as Eric would say! I love it! Lambs ear Makes a great boarder/edging plant. Cannot wait to see what you do next! 😊♥️
That chicken wire that you are digging up may have been used to keep ground hogs and moles from digging through the property. It can be useful as to not allow critters to eat the roots of your plants. I know it is a pain to dig up so you may just want to keep it in some areas especially where your tulips are because squirrels love to eat those.
I didn't think about that! Thanks for the tip! I do have issues with moles in some areas but that wasn't chicken wire. It's small metal decorative garden fencing. I've found it in other places on the property.
Looks so good Whitney. I lovvvvvve that Ornamental Evergreen, good choice 😊. 2 years ago, I bot an Ornamental cypress at 4 ft high from Lowes Clearance, it is about 8 feet high now, love it so much. And I also got a Golden Hinoki Cypress, so in lovvvve ❤ with that also. 😅
I love the Golden Hinoki Cypress! Can't wait to get one one day but evergreens are so expensive I have to get them on clearance to afford them lol thank you for watching!❤️❤️❤️
It's terrible how some people treat their (what could be) little peace of heaven on earth out of laziness and disregard ☹ Luckily there are courageous people like you. It all comes together beautifuly. I would like a broader oversight of everything, instead of the little segments where you work. Maybe a tour, now and then? 💚
I'll do a tour soon... but for the most part, the property is a 1 acre wooded lot covered in trash. Little by little the plan is to turn it into a garden...all on a budget. There was a few plants on the property as if one time it may of had a garden but everything was overgrown by the woods.
I thought weeds were a heart ache but you have the worst I have ever seen. Please be careful out there digging and pulling out the trash in your garden. I’m so sorry that you keep running into these obstacles. I give you a lot of credit you just go with it and get the job done. Your garden beds are looking amazing. I love watching ❤. Yes Whitney got the bulbs planted. The lambs ear is looking good along the garden path.
@@Everydaykaren yes the paw paws did ripen but the deer took care of that for me 😔 the steps to the vegetable garden was littered with pawpaw seeds from the deer standing up on their hind legs and eating the pawpaws out of the tree and spitting out the seeds. They actually broke a branch trying to get them out of the trees so I know it had to be the deer. They are ripe when they fall to the ground but the deer didn't even let them do that. Next year I will probably pick them before they are ripe
Oh my goodness! shame shame on the prv people that dumped everything on the property. this is a lot of extra work for you. keep that vision. it's going to be beautiful! all that junk kind of reminds me of when you did a hole, its like a box of chocolates. ou don't know what you're going to get. That edges of lamb's ear is a good look! I'm going to try that.😊
@@debbyrennock8435 yes I love the look as well. I want to try it edging a longer path.

Youre right. There's 2 varirties at Lowes on line. My Hinoki is about 3 to 4 ft. Their 1 gallon Bottle brush is cheap too
May god help you with your underground troubles.jeff

I love how things are coming along. Did the paw paws ever ripen? Was hoping to see one cut up/opened. Keep up the good work.
