Thanks for sharing your story sister! Such a sad story, a story of a forced married. Only ppl who are in your shoes will understand you. I can feel your sadness and pain. You were married young and were forced to married to a man u don't love. U never had the chance to explore what is bad and good in a man til u got older. Sometimes, it takes a whole lifetime to learn about the good and the bad, and sometimes it only takes a shorter amount of time to learn. Hmong women back in the days did not have a voice. Imagined being forced to marry someone you dont like and your own family refusing to help you. You have no support and no foundations to help you. This lady felt helpless and had so much resentment because she was forced to live a life she didnt choose. No matter how much the other person loves you, if your heart isnt in it, its not in it. I totally understand where this woman is coming from. She was sold and forced to marry someone she didn’t like. I feel sorry for her. At the same time, I do feel for the husband as well. I actually feel bad for this couple. The husband did force himself on her and she had to bare so much at such a young age. Depression carried out for so many years for both of them, so you can’t blame her for showing no love for him as she was suffering too.
