I sure can. I should've done that on this video. The 9mm looked like a tube had been stuck through it while the 5.7 had a cavity like a very large softball. I'm going to do premium rounds next and will cut the block apart.
I had a 50% luck with them out of my 365 but with the Glock17 they mushroom like a premium round. I grabbed them from PSA for $6 a box of 20rds. The 5.7 left a cavity in the block bigger than a softball. Both made me feel pretty good about carrying them.
@timjohnson8390 that's good to know. A lot of folks have said they didn't like the way they do business. I see they have a lot of sales on stuff and that's about the extent of my knowledge on them.
I should have cut the block open to show the cavities of each. Both did well. The 5.7 is deadly but doesn't have the raw power of 9mm. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Why do you keep using the blue tip? That’s boring. Use the ss198 and use the Hornady critical defense 5.7ammo with the FTX tip. I don’t understand why you keep using the blue tips. So dissatisfying watching this
You think the hornady critical Defense is better than blue tip? Which is also a hornady 40gr Vmax. These 2 rounds are standard defense rounds. So I compared them to each other. Next up will be SS195LF vs Norma MHP and so on. The 198 and 195 offer nearly identical performance so that should be more of a premium self defense round test.
@@573reviews the hornady critical defense is a different round. I don’t get why this is basically a 5.7 channel and you have yet to test that ammo. Vmax is not really considered a defensive round. You keep referring back to these older videos that I’ve already seen. It doesn’t answer my question lol. I enjoy the channel but I would like to see you widen your ammo use. I’ve seen 195. There are not a whole lot of hornady critical defense test videos. I want to see you used it on various targets. It’s a thousand videos of that ammo you are using but only like maybe 4-5 max videos of the hornady critical defense. Tap in to that algorithm lol
@1offjay601 the blue tip is considered a self defense round among people that actually shoot 5.7 and is better than overall than most loads. Here's a really informative video on the critical Defense rounds. Buffman shoots the critical Defense defense from multiple platforms and has the chrono set up for each. Be sure to subscribe to his channel. He likes 5.7 and has great videos. ua-cam.com/video/0Y_qjGMLlgc/v-deo.htmlsi=GsemAC7fFyWFlHwU
@@573reviews I’ve seen this video. Still doesn’t answer my question. That’s just one video/ opinion. No disrespect to buffman. I watch his channel and love it! But I’m asking you to do some. He hasn’t done clay, car doors, ammo can, drywall or water jugs using it. I’ve already seen this video. Why not do more experiments with newer ammo that’s introduced to the market. I want to see its effectiveness on various targets. The gel stuff is alright but I want to really see you test it
I misspoke and said "speer' a couple times when talking about the 9mm. It was actually Sierra 115gr HP outdoor master. Sorry for any confusion.
Can you cut the block next time so the cavity could be seen.

Im actually surprised by the Sierra hollow points, i guessed theyd act like a fmj

@573reviews I've had nothing but headaches when trying to deal with PSA. They have a store here in Myrtle Beach and they are a terrible company

5.7 does not compare to 9mm .
