Plus with the washing the dishes when they are brand new is to get all the chemicals off of it from when it was made, a lot of dishes and silverware and basically anything like kitchen ware and bathroom stuff aren’t washed after it’s made. So it’s definitely a good idea to wash all of them
i really can’t wait to move out on my own and keep my apartment clean ! I have a roommate and it sucks that things get quickly messy after cleaning bc she doesn’t clean after her… worst decision i made is having a roommate bc i’m on a budget :/

It's not at all weird to wash new kitchen items before using them. More than likely they were manufactured somewhere in Asia and have spent months on a shipping container and then stored in a warehouse facility and then finally end up in the store.
