I’m most excited about going exploring NYC this summer! I’ve always lived 20 minutes from the city and I’m always in and out but this year I’m determined to really explore the ins and outs of the city so I’m pretty excited ☺️
Lots of love to you Jade! This summer (I have exams from now until June actually, so I only have a month and a few weeks for summer) will be short but packed. I'm going to learn how to drive and babysit etc, but also go to a summer art intensive and the beach!
I used to feel so guilty for wanting summers to myself instead of forcing myself to work/study. So nice to hear you acknowledging rest and taking time to yourself. I hope you have an amazing time travelling! :)
No hate but you are literally EVERYWHERE! On Study to success, AmandaRachLee, Faye films and now unjaded jade?! Omg girl how do you get everywhere so fast?!- 🤣😨
hii all my life update: had been preparing for a standardized test for past 3 months, i was a nervous little bean and finally gave it today and scored my expected marks!! feeling like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders :)) my casual magic for today: walking out of the exam center and looking at the beautiful sunny day it was and the afternoon serendipity 🌻✨
It's okay to do nothing (career related) in your summer break! Rest is so important and an absolute wise use of your time! A few weeks away from my usual uni life always help me personally to reconnect to myself and get to know myself better.
I’ve never done an internship partly due to MH issues and simply needing the break to rest and recharge.. And honestly there’s nothing wrong with that if that’s what you need. On the contrary, I think its so important (but sadly undervalued) to explore your passions/hobbies that you may have neglected during Uni, spend time with family and friends, travel (if you have the means) or explore your own country and simply BE. You need rest to be able to show up for yourself and others 🙏🏼
Would you ever consider using slow travel instead of aeroplanes for some of your trips? For example travelling by train across countries, when the means of transport are part of the travel experience it enables different experiences and adventures, allowing you to see the world in a new way. I’m sure you’ve talked about the environment and your love of plants in past videos, so reducing air travel which has an incredibly negative impact on the planet might be something you could think about? Treating it as an opportunity and fun challenge when possible? I’d love to hear your thoughts on this! I hope you have a wonderful and restorative summer!
Hey Jade! Thank you for talking about the pressure you felt to do a “cool” internship and why you chose not to follow the crowd. I really needed to hear that ❤️
My family and Kosova are so grateful for your presence Jade. You always have a home here! Here's to all the baklava, pite and qaj we had and will have in the future together.
I’m from Kosova and I’ve watched Jade’s videos for some time now, and I can’t explain how happy I am that you became friends with Jade😊 I also feel so proud of you, for representing Kosova and for being where you are✨
awww jade i've watched you grow from filming your a level experience to now talking so wonderfully about your uni experience, i can't believe what a wonderful person you have grown into over the years, you are truly such an inspiration and are helping me so much through my gcses ilyyy
I can’t believe it’s summer already! Congrats on making it through another year of uni, jade! I’m excited to see travel vlogs from you this summer. ✈️✨
It truly does feel like a chat with friends! My casual magic is this video. I really related to what you were saying with all of my friends getting internships too but I think I just want to read, get a part-time job somewhere chill and meet up with friends
Ooh Jade! If you’re visiting Cambodia, I’ve got two places for you to visit in Phnom Penh. First is ‘Dine in the Dark’. It’s run by blind people and you choose a menu (i.e traditional, vegetarian, western) and you can’t see what you’re eating. The restaurant is completely black. It’s a really cool experience and I’m pretty sure the proceeds go towards their cause or for building awareness. The second is ‘bugs cafe’. Yes, you heard right. It’s a really cool cafe where they combine traditional Cambodian cooking and bugs. If you’re an adventurous eater, this is a super fun experience and you can pick something very mild or very out there, so there’s something for everyone. Also the store ‘friends’ is everywhere. It’s a charity shop that sells Cambodian wares to tourists and helps to raise money. Would highly recommend a visit there too!
Hi jade! Congrats on the end of the school year! Cambodia sounds amazing! Also, I can so relate to feeling a bit left behind when your friends have secured corporate internships at fancy places. But I think you are doing the right thing focusing on yourself this summer, because final year is quite intense emotionally and academically (dissertation!!!). While it is nice to have a permanent job secured by the end of your internship, I know a lot of people who eventually lost it from burnout or because they did not manage to get the required minimum grade because of some reason in their final year. It is an immense amount of pressure to put on yourself! So just do you, and take it at your own pace! Keeping your options open and focusing on getting through your final year, and then decide more calmly what you want to do with your life seems as good a plan as any! And also, this might be the last summer before a full time job, it will never come again, so enjoy!!!
My darling! as a current MA student who has gone through dissertation writing allow me to share my experience. Pick a topic that is passionate/interesting to you, because you will be spending quite a bit of time researching, doing further reading you want to enjoy the experience rather then dreading every moment. Of course like every essay we have written, it is hard work and we do feel burnt out. But trust me the experience just fly's by and you will be incredibly proud of yourself once this is completed! And just enjoy your time girl! Just remember to keep re-watching your video on how to enjoy studying whenever you need that extra motivation as you have given us😊. But for the time being, enjoy your summer, reset and relax and spend time with loved ones and friends.
I love your energy and how you’re prioritizing your well-being. I feel like a low-stress rewarding thing to do in the summer could be some volunteering, there’s so many options out there
Hello Jade! :) I have followed you since secondary school and now I am finishing off my dissertation in my final year of uni! :D Your videos always bring me such joy! Thank you for the amazing journey x ❤
London sounds exciting, but very hectic...Melbourne, Australia is also usually very hectic, but has slowed down since all the lockdowns we had...I went to Sydney recently and loved it. It felt like a very glamorous beach town, and all the people I met were so calm, happy and lovely. Ideally, I'd love to live in a rural part of NSW, as I think I've lived in Melbourne way too long! I also have two subjects left in my course this year, and then hopefully will move to NSW. :) All your travel plans sound so exciting. Thanks for your updates. :)
I've seen on your instagram story you in Kosovo and I'm shocked and excited to see you there! My family is Kosovan (but I was born & grew up here in London!) and I go there every summer, and being a follower of you Jade for years now it's so exciting to see someone talk about a country that I love that barely anyone knows about. I wish I was there because I would've loved to have shown you around. :)
I can relate so so much to all of this, I'm doing my masters in London and there is a lot of social pressure to always be working but I want to spend some time travelling and relaxing rather than trying to fit an internship in with writing the dissertation this summer
I really love unjaded jade's videos they make me happy and give me the good vibes. And I love the fact that she is honest and real in her talks at the end of the video.
My parents are REALLY frustrated with me for not using this summer to get an internship or a job, but I just know I need that rest time to work on myself and other creative pursuits. It was really helpful to hear you talk abou that!
The past three years, you've been such an inspiration for me! You managing uni and social life and UA-cam and more is just a miracle and a gift (the fact that you've been here for us as well), and I hope you can take a good rest and feel re-energized after summer ^^
Hi Jade Awww it was so nice to hear that you are going to Argentina, I am from Mexico and our culture is not that different. I really admire you as a person and I love your content, so it was exciting knowing that you will be able to see this part of the world. I hope you like it, I'm sure you'll have beautiful adventures and perspectives that are very different from what you've shown us here :) I hope you can rest a lot this summer
Hey Jade! I've been your fan for such a long time. I'm from Taiwan and currently doing my Erasmus in Germany, so it's really nice to hear that you're coming to Taiwan for your semester abroad! ✨✨can't wait for the video! All the best:)
All the best Jade. I also have 2 semesters left (will be done with my BSc Biotech degree next year in June) and I can't wait to take a break in the midst of people rushing to get employment. I've had you to look up to (and Vee Khathivu) during my study years and I'm glad I'm making it through with your help. Your videos always motivate me to study and get going when I feel daunted by studies. I practice casual magic when I remember to and that's been life changing. Highly appreciated ❤️🇿🇦
I used to live in Buenos Aires and it is MAGNIFICENT! You absolutely cannot live there without learning a little bit of tango. Don't miss out on that kind of casual magic!! Have a lovely summer 🌞🌟🙏🏖🌍
Hi! I spend week in Albanian's mountains, which were on the border with Kosovo. If you are into hiking, definitely go for that! It was one of the most beautiful experiences in my life. Also, there are guest houses in the middle of the mountains with locals providing food and accommodation.
Hey Jade! You’re amazing and thanks for your video all the time. I was burnout but every time after watching your videos i just somehow feel better. And I really hope you have a lovely time in my hometown Taiwan:) xx
I am very happy that you will visit my country Kosova 😍 your friend probably already knows all the good places to visit but I‘ll list some must see places: - Rugova Mountains (Guri Kuc & Liqenat) - Peja City - Drini bardh waterfall (Radavc) - Prizren (especially the Fortress and the museum of lidhja e prizrenit) - Mirusha Waterfalls - The stalactite cave (shpella e gadimes). - And of course the capital city with the museums, the Mother Tereza cathedral, National Park Gërmia. Have fun and i‘d love to see a video about your experience in Kosova 😍❤️ kënaqu!!
For what it's worth (and it took me actually working in a school to finally understand this) I think that's why summer break is built into the school year, and I don't think anyone should feel guilty for needing it to rest. I've worked full time at an elementary school the past two years, and while I absolutely love it (and I wasn't even a classroom teacher, I was just a paraprofessional) I would get SO burnt out. At the end of this past school year, I was helping a teacher clean her room, and as I swept and saw all the accumulated dust and dirt, I couldn't help but think "This is how I feel." Part of me feels guilty for feeling so burnt out, since there are many responsibilities I do not have that certified teachers do, but then I have to realize that my job was also demanding, and just with my life's situation right now, I was not always able to get the time and space to take care of myself, so I was able to make peace with the fact that, while I could have certainly used some money from a part-time job, my current situation doesn't absolutely demand it, and I am comfortable taking the summer to just rest. Sometimes it doesn't always feel relaxing, and sometimes it feels like I am doing nothing, but it takes time to feel the effects. I'm glad you decided to make the choice that was best for you. ❤
i completely understand and relate to feeling burnt out, I wish I could give you some advice but sadly I haven't figured it out yet - I really hope this summer is an opportunity for you to recharge for your final year 💕
Ahhh! I also just read your casual magic for the day in the description. Ah, we share that! And because of the love to the power of words I learned to never hold back and just share a kind message when I feel moved😊
I've thought the same thing about not working during summer break and this summer I am working 5 shifts a week until uni starts again with about two weeks off. The thought of it is kind of "why do I do this to myself" because once I'm finished with work it's right away travelling back to uni and start the new semester. But at the same time, it's nice for me to have something to do, earn money and can relax properly during my off-weeks and days off! I also don't work during the school year to focus on my studies, so I can relax properly during Christmas and Easter.
u speaking right into my feels. I study law in berlin and currently question it all. Throughout the last semesters i more or less only focused on my studies, which is fine because i love learning but i forgot to do things i loved in the past so i came to a burn out state as well and just left berlin two weeks ago to spend time in my home town with my family and dog and not do anything for uni, which is an absolute new thing for me and its not an easy one tbh but i just had to for my health.Just glad to hear we are not alone :)
Most of this summer I will spend abroad. I am currently doing an Erasmus+ internship in Madrid which is amazing. I used to spend very summer of my life at home (with some vacations) surrounded by family and friends and now that I will spend most of my summer without them I feel a little sad. However I can't help but appreciate my time abroad and be thankful that I was able to do this semester abroad and learn about Spain's culture, meet new people and explore Spain's cities. So I know what I will be doing during summer, but I don't what I will do from September on as I will have graduated from my university. So I understand that not having plans can be scary.
JADEEE!!! I'd like to share this quote with you: "You often feel tired not because you've done too much, but because you've done too little of what sparks a light in you." - Alexander Den Heijer Send u a big hug! 😇😁
Cuando dijo que viene a Argentina no lo podía creer onda tuve que repetirlo como tres veces hasta comprobar que entendi bien. Ojalá te encuentre jade seria un sueño sos una persona increíble. Saludos desde Buenos Aires 💕
so so so excited for your future plans! I can feel that uni burnot too, im doing my masters in neuroscience and the work load is crazy, not looking forward to finals in 6 weeks :(
I have experienced that people have become burnout because they work too much and stress too much and it takes a long time to get back. This is my suggestion: When you get back, you could for instance take some rest for instance one day a week to take a rest to recharge your energy. You could make mind maps to get an overview of the study and be efficient with the mind maps
Oh my gosh! You're going / went to Kosovo! That's where I'm from :) How cool! I followed you since you were in Berlin (I studied there as well!) So fun! Enjoy your time there and everywhere!
Hi there Jade! Wish you the best in this upcoming summer! 😎 You're a great inspiration for all of us, especially in the mental health aspect. Greetings from Panama. 🇵🇦
Alot of love 💙💙💙 Just be thankful to God because for me when you talk about your plans, studies and travel, I feel like you are living a dream in heaven, what do you want else? 💙💙💙
hey jade!! i love your videos so much. they bring me so much joy and always help me destress. i'm about to go into my GCSEs and its only just hit me how daunting the prospect is. ahhhh. i'm feeling really overwhelmed. i appreciate this space you have created so much. also on burnout (same!) rest is so important. sending love
Yay! I love this update…. Oooh, and I love your tea mug. I’ve got a similar one with cute little symbols of our beloved London. Seems you have a wonderful summer planned. I hope to see Volker again, as I’ve missed his appearance on your videos!
Wow youre almost done with uni only one year left!! It seems like you started Yesterday or something like that. Congrats and keep up the good work. Im almost done with a three months travelling trip so my summer is gonna be me starting on a dog hairdresser Education and focusing on friends and family✨
In the video, we can see you aspire to tranquility : for instance your camera moves less, your voice is calmer, there are less effects... but not in a bad way ! The video is kind of consistent with the message you share with us, which is " oh oh, guys, I need rest" and that's very brave of you to admit it, and to put a video out there showing it :) Have a whole lot of rest, and come back to us filled with Jade's energy ! Take all the time you need, we will always be there when you come back :)
So exciting for you and giving your self the space to take opportunities as they come over the next few month will really allow you to be spontaneous and just have fun. Speaking of camper vans I’m going on a week camper van/ surf trip with a couple other girls in Portugal and will be flying out from Canada in like 3 weeks and I can’t wait.
Buenos Aires sounds amazing! Looking forward to seeing you there... But FIRST, enjoy summer! I always had exams in the summer so I never had very "adventurous" summers... I hope you'll get to travel and have fun.
Oh my, I am from Serbia, but can we for once just...not fight? Girl is going there to have a good time and I am sure she will pick up some of the history. Even I feel pressured reading some of the comments, let alone her.
this summer's going to be my last one with the friends i've been with for the past 12 years (i go to a k-12 school) before we all go off to uni so i'm like excited but kinda emo lol- i hope i can make the most out of it :)
Omg Same same Same 😍😍 In 2 months (holy f) i will have finished my apprenticeship in a company as a visual merchandiser. And after that most of my classmates will Start to work full time, but I decided that thats not the right way for me. I want to change my direction in life (again), to start learning about sustainable Management and Environment and Ressources. But I just dont kniw where to start exactly. I also want to travel more too, wo if you want to meet New people, i would really like to meet up at a desired destination 💯😇 it would be so amazing to get to know New people and go full on Solo travelling again, after beeing in Ireland for 3 weeks by myself in 2019!
well this is so exciting! sending you casual magic in bulk.. you should save for one of those pinterest like volkswagen vans and full on roadtrip your way through a few weeks
Such a lovely video! I’m also mainly taking the Summer to rest. I have a small part time job for a few hours per week but other than that, I’ll be using the Summer just like you, focusing on mental and physical health & creativity!✨ Oh and of course preparing for my stay in the UK after Summer, so exciting to go there (probably end of August/begin September?)! Anyway good luck planning your Summer in the upcoming months!😘
Love how honest you are about the workload and needing rest!! Always welcome in Ghent!! Come and visit and ill show you my beautiful city 😍 Kisses from Belgium
I love that you are now taking time for yourself! I'm from Uruguay (next yo Argentina) so if you want to learn more spanish and travel a little bit through latin América, you have a friend there!! Hugs!
Hello Jade! Maybe this is a little late to ask but I was doing research about minerva yesterday and I absolutely love it! Are you able to make a video talking about the application process and how you got in? Have a great day! :)
Loved hearing about your summer plans! I'm so excited that you're going to get to spend a semester in Taipei, it's one of my favourite cities in the world and there's so much great cheap vegan food. I visited Kosovo maybe 7 years ago and loved it although I wasn't there for very long... I wrote about the vegan food and visiting a bear sanctuary there on my old blog, I don't think I can link here but if you googled vegan in brighton kosovo I'm sure it would appear!
OMGGG I love that you are visiting Kosovo😍😍I live in Bosnia and Herzegovina, another country in Balkans. I hope that you can visit my country in the future as well. I wish you an enjoyable summer💖
How weird… 🧐 you popped into my head earlier today and now I’ve stumbled across this video. Ah, the power of manifestation! 🔥 thank you for this video - looking forward to the next 😘 xx

So relatable.. but you really deserve a longer period off! 🧡
Couldn’t agree more. However, we all deserve some proper rest to recharge! ☺️

@@buskybops8355 thank you!!!!❤
Really really appreciated the chat about pressure to have a productive summer!! Burnout is real and rest is important!
I love your sit-down life updates. They're just so comforting :)
SO refreshing to hear you acknowledge the importance of rest and sense of walking in the dark/ non knowing anything 🤪
i completely understand and relate to feeling burnt out, I wish I could give you some advice but sadly I haven't figured it out yet - I really hope this summer is an opportunity for you to recharge for your final year 💕
Hey, Jade! Argentinian here, I'd love to show you around when you're here 🤗 Hope you have a great summer!
Throughout the last semesters i more or less only focused on my studies, which is fine because i love learning but i forgot to do things i loved in the past so i came to a burn out state as well and just left berlin two weeks ago to spend time in my home town with my family and dog and not do anything for uni, which is an absolute new thing for me and its not an easy one tbh but i just had to for my health.Just glad to hear we are not alone :)
when I saw you were in your room I don't know but I felt so happy and kinda nostalgic omg u have been in so many places and finally ur home 🤧🤧
JADEEE!!! I'd like to share this quote with you: "You often feel tired not because you've done too much, but because you've done too little of what sparks a light in you."
- Alexander Den Heijer
Send u a big hug! 😇😁
Considering copying this quote and sending it to my professor in regards to our research essay
but even passion projects/activities can be tiring... lovely quote, tho :)
Cuando dijo que viene a Argentina no lo podía creer onda tuve que repetirlo como tres veces hasta comprobar que entendi bien. Ojalá te encuentre jade seria un sueño sos una persona increíble. Saludos desde Buenos Aires 💕
so so so excited for your future plans! I can feel that uni burnot too, im doing my masters in neuroscience and the work load is crazy, not looking forward to finals in 6 weeks :(
I had my exam today and it went really well. I watched your video the night before the exam and it calmed me down so much. Thanks xo
Eeeep well done!! 👏🥰 I'm so glad my video helped in some way. I'm sure you smashed it
I’m from Buenos Aires, Argentina 🇦🇷❤️can’t believe you are coming here soon!! Good luck 💗
I have experienced that people have become burnout because they work too much and stress too much and it takes a long time to get back.
This is my suggestion:
When you get back, you could for instance take some rest for instance one day a week to take a rest to recharge your energy. You could make mind maps to get an overview of the study and be efficient with the mind maps
Oh my gosh! You're going / went to Kosovo! That's where I'm from :) How cool! I followed you since you were in Berlin (I studied there as well!) So fun! Enjoy your time there and everywhere!
I volunteered with UWS in Cambodia a few years ago! Such a great charity and a pivotal experience for me. Enjoy!
Hey Jade! I want to write on some short stories I laid down for fifteen years because of a mental illness. You're a good spirit! Cheers!
Hi there Jade! Wish you the best in this upcoming summer! 😎 You're a great inspiration for all of us, especially in the mental health aspect.
Greetings from Panama. 🇵🇦
How cool that you will be studying in Buenos Aires!! I did a semester abroad in Mendoza and I absolutely loved it 😍🇦🇷
Alot of love 💙💙💙
Just be thankful to God because for me when you talk about your plans, studies and travel, I feel like you are living a dream in heaven, what do you want else? 💙💙💙
hey jade!! i love your videos so much. they bring me so much joy and always help me destress. i'm about to go into my GCSEs and its only just hit me how daunting the prospect is. ahhhh. i'm feeling really overwhelmed. i appreciate this space you have created so much. also on burnout (same!) rest is so important. sending love
Yay! I love this update…. Oooh, and I love your tea mug. I’ve got a similar one with cute little symbols of our beloved London. Seems you have a wonderful summer planned. I hope to see Volker again, as I’ve missed his appearance on your videos!
I'm from Buenos Aires and I'm so excited for you to come!!
The video is kind of consistent with the message you share with us, which is " oh oh, guys, I need rest" and that's very brave of you to admit it, and to put a video out there showing it :)
Have a whole lot of rest, and come back to us filled with Jade's energy !
I've never felt the pressure to have a "fruitful" summer, just take time to be with yourself!
Maybe go hike camino de Santiago or anywhere really in Europe
I just remembered Sasha's song "at least I look cool" :)
Thanks jade for sharing your thoughts and feelings with us❤️
you are my favourite comfort youtuber!! 💕
First! i love you jade ✨I have been following you since 2019
THAT'S SO LONG 🥺 thank you for supporting me for so long!!
this summer's going to be my last one with the friends i've been with for the past 12 years (i go to a k-12 school) before we all go off to uni so i'm like excited but kinda emo lol- i hope i can make the most out of it :)

I also want to travel more too, wo if you want to meet New people, i would really like to meet up at a desired destination 💯😇 it would be so amazing to get to know New people and go full on Solo travelling again, after beeing in Ireland for 3 weeks by myself in 2019!

Hello Jade! Maybe this is a little late to ask but I was doing research about minerva yesterday and I absolutely love it! Are you able to make a video talking about the application process and how you got in? Have a great day! :)
Jadeee sooo proud of youuu❤❤🥰looove your contenttttt
Loved hearing about your summer plans! I'm so excited that you're going to get to spend a semester in Taipei, it's one of my favourite cities in the world and there's so much great cheap vegan food. I visited Kosovo maybe 7 years ago and loved it although I wasn't there for very long... I wrote about the vegan food and visiting a bear sanctuary there on my old blog, I don't think I can link here but if you googled vegan in brighton kosovo I'm sure it would appear!
Congrats on finishing the semester!! I can’t wait to submit this research essay and be done!!!!!!!!!
I love u!!! thank u for all the good vibes you give us all babe 🍂
If you’re visiting Kosovo you should absolutely visit Serbia too. Belgrade is so fun during summer and it has so much to offer.
OMGGG I love that you are visiting Kosovo😍😍I live in Bosnia and Herzegovina, another country in Balkans. I hope that you can visit my country in the future as well. I wish you an enjoyable summer💖
