    hot tip on the canister, if its the same diameter as mine then it should fit in bottle cage. I keep 2 cages zip tied to my feedback stand and use one to hold the canister. works really well to reach both wheels and have one central place to pump so its not rolling all over the floor. other bottle cage is for a half bottle to hold tools.

    I'm all about a left pull on the seat tube, and a right pull on the down tube, with a half frame bag for tools and lunch (burrito and/or PB&Js and bananas), and a feedbag for quick power snacks.

    For your rear brake problem, when you pressed the calipers in, make sure not to squeeze the brake levers until the rear wheel gets put back on. That may have caused you to get air in the line the first time. I've done this plenty of times. Now when I take off a wheel, i always put those disk brake bleed blocks.

    i have broken enough small pumps to realize most of my pumps fit in all of the different mounts that i have put "under" and beside the cages. I swap pumps with impunity. However, some have an added velcro strap which is reassuring for the bumps. I am interested to hear how the bottle retention is on your side cages.

  • @byronstumman7420
    @byronstumman7420 4 роки тому

    So damn hilarious 🤣 and love frame bags. Yes side mount bottle cage is a must with them. I ride like I’ll have a to do a full rebuild/will encounter the apocalypse every time I go out. So my daily tool kit is massive and fills a lot of the frame bag.

    DK, those Hutchinson's look nice; still enjoying? Re: tubeless 1st seating. Not sure if tried, but a nice hack is to use an old valve core with 'valve' part of it snapped out to allow air to flow into the tyre far more easily. Can't guarantee seating with a pocket pump - but does make setting up with a track pump far less of a pump your arse off and sacrifice your eldest to the gods type event.
    Entertaining and really well put together vid, much appreciated over here 👍

    Yo Dustin this is wild. I've been looking for a used Park Tool INF-2 and an air compressor because my Joe Blow won't cut it for tubeless. Might have to get a TubiBooster now! Also I did the same thing with some SRAM Rival disc brakes today, cleaned and checked the pistons. Make sure you push them both in fully with a plastic tire lever and possibly open your pads a bit with a packing pad protector before putting the wheel back on.

  • @TimFitzwater
    @TimFitzwater 4 роки тому

    So the Tubi is about getting the air into the tire fast so it seats? I’m unclear on that. (but I also only have one bike with tubeless and my friend owns a bike shop so I’ve always had him set them up - he obviously has a compressor.)

    Not putting the pistons back after 2000 miles it was brutal getting it back. After 3 days i eventually got the pistons to retract. When i do this i also clean the pistons before i retract them, and i also put oil on the pistons. Some people use a kind of silicon. Worked well for me, so i do retract the pistons (push them back) more often. Because...I am avoiding the dreaded brake bleed. Never done it, good on you :-). Not looking forward to that. I can't wait to open my next box using your technique. I am putting in a new saw blade right now. I have a saddle coming later this week. Or i could wait for a box of tires coming.
