True. I was thinking the same thing. He lived with a social media platform (myspace) shutting down and he lived with I-tunes (third party) taking most of the money so his idea was created from his experiences and struggles. Even though it is a concept that we were taught "I rather have 3 good friendships than 3000 friendships", this concept goes a long way.

I'm a big fan of Ryan and I love the idea of the Superphone, but I do want to challenge the concept as well. Is it really scalable and good to go for a takeover in the industry? As for me, as this moment I'm receiving updates and newsletters from about 20 different artists and companies in my e-mail inbox probably every day, but can you imagine receiving all of these updates in the form of a text?
I see your point but the genius of it is that it's basically an app on your phone so you can check when you want like Twitter outside of the automation aspect
