Omg! My wife got me a Sous Vide "set" (Anova circulator, Vacuum sealer, and bags) for x-mas last year. BEST STEAKS EEEEVVVVEEEERRRRR!!!!!!!
That looks delicious! Going to have to do some research on the Sous-vide process. I've never seen that done before, but damn do I want to try this at least one time this summer.
I traveled the country looking for this cut of meat and was only able to find it in California. I really hope they start exporting it soon.
Ask a butcher. Super available and still cheap for some reason up here.
That looks amazing!
this was great. i want to do this now.
Tri-tip is awesome, try to get the Prime Tri-Tip they get at Costco, so friggin good...
Voodoo ranger ain't no joke. Like Pliny the Elder strong.
Thanks for a great video! I'm new to sous vide and I have a 3.5 tri-tip I'm going to cook. I'm confused about cooking times...I just watched another video where a tri-tip was cooked sous vide in one hour and 45 minutes. Your video states several hours. It seems like there are really varied cooking times for this procedure... (??)
Yeah when I did my research I saw a lot of videos saying 1:30-2 hours but then when I went on reddit I saw a lot of people doing tests where that 5 hour mark was the juiciest and most tender of all the times. If youre in a rush definintely go for shorter but if you got the time, I can definintely vouch that the 5 hour just melted away in my mouth!
@@PourChoicesKitchen Thanks!
Cooking one now. This is the exact info i was looking for. Thank you
TT is a working muscle so easily go 12-24hrs...
I go 24hrs as TT is a working muscle... but I prefer short ribs....
Gotta try the 24 hour way soon 🙌🏽
There is simply no better way to cook a tri-tip. God made sous vide specifically for tri-tip
Pellet grill at 180 is probably a little better, but it's just about what you feel like doing
That rub name!! HA! Made me wonder if it has MSG in it, because I've heard a southern chef refer to MSG as "Jesus Tears". Maybe I need to branch out with my spice blends. Plenty of spices, just not many blends in my stash. Great video. Thanks.
Edit: You gotta trim those Vac Pack bags, my guy. For my OCD. That butter finish/sauce though! Makes me wish there was surf with that turf.
