- Israeli police fired water cannon and forcibly removed demonstrators in downtown Tel Aviv as thousands rallied to demand urgent government action to bring home captives from Gaza. Protesters observed a minute’s silence in Tel Aviv’s Hostages Square in honour of the captives whose bodies were recovered by Israeli troops this month.

Never thought I'd hear an Israeli say the use of force is unnecessary to break up peaceful protests. It happens to Palestinians everyday with many of them killed, maimed & children arrested while these same protestors are cheering their soldiers on.
