Quasi, thank you for the great content you put here. Just got my DCT Rebel a few days ago and love it! Put an off brand (amazon) mirror I had sitting in my tool box on. Used the same technique you did and Viola! Perfection. Not CRG quality but for the cost of 5 washers and 2 pack of bolts its a winner! Thanks again Sir.
Actually the bar end bolt is M6-1.0 Socket Cap Screw. Stock length is around 25mm. You need maybe 40mm to accommodate the washers with plenty of thread grab. I got 45mm. Extra length is okay because the female end inside the bar is open ended. Easy solution for bar end mirror installation. Thank you for the tip. I think you should excerpt and publish (maybe with separate intro) a shorter vid on just the final bar end mirror mount solution and mirror hole cap mention.

Awesome video once again...question for you if you could take some time please.. My tailbone kills after an hour with the stock seat..not sure if you feel the same way but did the Airhawk help/eliminate that from happening?
Yes, the AirHawk eliminated the hotspots and fatigue caused by the original seat. The key to using the AirHawk cushions is only inflating them very slightly. They work best with just enough air to fill in the gaps, but still allow your sit bones to reach the seat underneath. That gives just enough support without feeling like you're sitting on a balloon. 😉👍 --QM

Yes, a motorcycle license is still required to ride legally in Texas. The DCT takes care of the shifting and clutching chores, but everything else about riding a motorcycle still applies to the DCT as it would for a standard/manual-shift motorcycle. Cheers! 👍 --QM
They are completely different animals with different riding styles, so that really depends on where I'm going and how long I'll be in the saddle. Short answer: I'll usually jump on the Rebel before the Ryker for most riding scenarios. The Ryker is great for city riding, occasional backroad blasts, and riding in inclement weather. However, it's not a good touring machine. The Ryker's fuel economy is very poor at ~30 MPG, so nearly any motorcycle will be a better touring companion. My Ryker's handling and alignment problems have always been a sore spot for me, so I don't enjoy riding it longer distances... it's just too exhausting to constantly course-correct and wrestle the heavy steering. The Rebel DCT is a fantastic commuter and light-duty touring bike, but it also has its drawbacks for touring. The rear suspension is under-damped and tends to wallow too much, and the footpeg position doesn't provide a good knee/hip angle for long touring comfort. The Rebel's DCT is amazing for commuting or touring, and it can be pressed into sport riding when the mood arises. The biggest contrast between the machines is that I can relax and enjoy the ride on the Rebel, and that's not possible on the Ryker. The Ryker requires CONSTANT attention to maintain a line, and that detracts from the joy of riding after a while. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
Yes, I have a Beeline Moto GPS on the handlebars. I discuss it briefly in this video: ua-cam.com/video/NE3QaBJgGeo/v-deo.html . The Beeline works great as a minimalist gauge, and it matches the Rebel's aesthetics very well. It's not great for turn-by-turn routing, so I usually have Waze or Google Maps running on my phone and talking through my Cardo PackTalk BOLD headset to give more detailed info. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
Yes, that is the Airhawk Cruiser R Large: amzn.to/3wlCr9a . It makes a HUGE difference in comfort on the factory seat. do you even anything from them because your hand goes in the way? mirror that you have to move your hands to see isnt practical. i would not put those on
The camera angle from my helmet is below my eyeline. I'm looking over my wrist and onto the mirror without needing to crane my head or adjust my arm to see. However, I still might rotate the mount to sit above the handlebar instead of below... that would give me a slightly better angle to view the mirror. --QM

My normal vlogging setup on my helmet uses the GoPro Hero 7 Black in a Ulanzi vlogging case, mounted to the helmet with a MotoRadds chin mount. The microphone is from a Cardo Scala G9 bluetooth headset, and that is plugged into the GoPro Hero microphone adapter. You can see a quick video of my helmet setup here if you're interested: ua-cam.com/video/D_lbmLdenHU/v-deo.html . Cheers! 👍 --QM
What size airhawk fit the DCT seat. Medium or large ?
I have the AirHawk Cruiser R Large on my Rebel DCT. I don't own the Cruiser (medium) for size comparison, but I think it might be a bit too small. I do have the Cruiser Small, so I'll try to snap a picture of those together on the seat for comparison. 👍 --QM
Do you still need a motorcycle license for a dct?
Yes, a motorcycle license is still required to ride legally in Texas. The DCT takes care of the shifting and clutching chores, but everything else about riding a motorcycle still applies to the DCT as it would for a standard/manual-shift motorcycle. Cheers! 👍 --QM
Nice job
Thank you! Cheers! 👍 --QM
Lol lol disregard my question, after further viewing I see the CanAm
Another question, which do you prefer, the Ryker or the Rebell?
Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
Thanks , that helps a lot with my decision. Great video, very informative enjoy watching them all.
Is that beemoto?
Yes, I have a Beeline Moto GPS on the handlebars. I discuss it briefly in this video: ua-cam.com/video/NE3QaBJgGeo/v-deo.html . The Beeline works great as a minimalist gauge, and it matches the Rebel's aesthetics very well. It's not great for turn-by-turn routing, so I usually have Waze or Google Maps running on my phone and talking through my Cardo PackTalk BOLD headset to give more detailed info. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
@@QuasiMotard I Kickstartered it but I'm in between bikes right now, so I'm looking forward to testing it out when I get a 1100 this spring/summer
Patience of a saint .... 😉 looks great . Goes like stink ..
My cap moves in the throttle side not aur eused 5 washers :S
Is that the large size airhawk?
Yes, that is the Airhawk Cruiser R Large: amzn.to/3wlCr9a . It makes a HUGE difference in comfort on the factory seat. I have ordered the Honda custom "forward" seat for the Rebel, but it hasn't arrived yet. I'll be sure to post a comparison video on that when it arrives so you can see the difference. Cheers! 👍 --QM
Thank you! And thanks for the videos.. you're helping me learn about this bike.. keep em coming. Also I want to go to Texas just for that cycle gear store.. incredible.. we have a tiny one in NY
@@thewantonboys Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad that these videos are helping. The Cycle Gear store here in Katy is really nice. You should take a road trip down here sometime! Cheers! 👍 --QM
Next upgrade...remove those tank warning labels lol
Done! I took those off right after this video was recorded. I saw them while editing the video, so I immediately went outside to peel them off! 🤣👍 --QM
@@QuasiMotard nice man, it's a beautiful bike
Video jerky on UA-cam TV. Only works on iPhone.
Where is your son scooter ? I live close to your area ,maybe you need to sell it ?
do you even anything from them because your hand goes in the way? mirror that you have to move your hands to see isnt practical. i would not put those on
The camera angle from my helmet is below my eyeline. I'm looking over my wrist and onto the mirror without needing to crane my head or adjust my arm to see. However, I still might rotate the mount to sit above the handlebar instead of below... that would give me a slightly better angle to view the mirror. --QM
