COASTAL PLOVERS BIRDS.

I shot these bird using an analog lens Nikon Nikkor 300mm 1:4.5 on a tripod at Huntington State Beach, California. They were in a fencing protected area right on the beach. I was lucky to bring this lens and a tripod; otherwise, I wouldn't be able to make these shots.
Plovers are a diverse group of small shorebirds that commonly inhabit beaches, tidal zones, and other coastal areas. There are over 60 different species within the Plover subfamily (Charadriinae), including killdeers, wrybills, and dotterels. These birds vary in plumage, with colors and patterns that match their beach or rocky habitats.
Most Plovers are shorebirds, living along beaches, sand dunes, estuaries, and tide pools. Some also inhabit meadows, grasslands, and other habitats. Their distribution spans the globe, except for extreme environments.
