I am glad you found this useful! iMovie is a great software and its free on all macs. I would not recommend editing on the mobile version for stop motions. If you need any more help with editing your videos on iMovie there is a second tutorial for things like green screening or just leave another comment with a question. I am happy to help.

varuna79 I believe the problem could be how the camera is naming the photo files. If it is saying writing the jpgs with random numbers maybe try sorting all the photos by date added in the folder. If you give me more information I can help you more.

Command A which highlights all the photos in imovie. Then click on the speed dial. There should be a reverse button. If you still have the photos in a finder folder then click the date added again it will sort them again but in the opposite direction.
If you want lower than 10 fps then when your setting the length of all the photos instead of writing in 0.1 write 0.2. This should give you 5 fps. OR you could just follow the directions in this video until you get to the part where you are changing the speed of the video and instead of making it fast so you see a rabbit. You make the video longer so you see a turtle.
I am pretty sure you can. As long as the camera you are using takes photos in a file form the imovie can handle. Most cameras take images in jpg. I know for a fact this camera can take jpgs. amzn.to/36wLXfj. This camera is probably your best bet but if you want something with more options I would recommend the camera I use which is linked in the description.

10 fps. I would recommend turning it into a video and speeding up the footage so your stop motion will look smoother.
