- Probably my favorite Smiths song
When I uploaded the video a few years ago the quality was horrible and I didn't play it correctly; this is a bit closer to what my ears can hear.
Beautiful song, Definitely feels like Morrissey and Marr attempting to recreate the sound of the sixties girl groups they loved. No surprise that Sandie Shaw covered it with the Smiths. Upsetting to read that Morrissey “shudders” at hearing it these days.
this is really good man, i love how you put your own sound into it. the way your guitar sounds reminds me of this band called Dog Bite specifically

Mate, really cool take. Your playing is so good! Did you really learn only by ear...? It a song so difficult for me... well, not only this... Johnny Marr is one of my top guitar player but is so good and complex in my opinion to try his song!

I did learn guitar by ear. I try to learn most songs by ear and I'll watch live videos of whoever the song is by to see if I can get close if I ever get stuck. So I may not play 100% accurately but I like to think of it as adding my own little sense of ~musicality~

Standard tuning, finagled slightly... Johnny was never consistent with his tuning in The Smiths.. you'll have to mess around a bit !
@@scottjpats Yeah, I know. Johnny's tuning was everywhere. I remember seeing him a couple months ago and most of the smiths songs he played all had the capo on the second fret beside for Big Mouth, which was on the 4th fret I believe. Very interesting stuff.
Have you got a really fast delay on this it sounds really good and full sounding
Reverb up about 12 o'clock and Mooer Ana-Echo delay time about 2 o'clock, intensity about 8 o'clock and echo about 10/11 o'clock! Good ear
