That content scheduling advice is great. I have never thought of it until now. There I personally have an oportunity to reduce procrastination and transform it into productive learning.

I noticed the same with tasks, but I just added a "Log/Tasks" file which I kept in my inbox, since I didn't want to put it under Areas, for accessibility, the scheduling or reminders can easily be added with a shell script, or maybe there is a tasks plugin, while I do agree with using a tool for what it's best, adding more tools has its own trade-offs, what I like about PARA is that it's simple enough that you can just start like, now, and then along the way you can experiment and optimize, without affecting your current organization and use of it
i guess the algorithm have given me a favor for showing me your vids , thanks youtube .. Really thrilled and excited of the way you observe things . this is the first time seeing you but definetly not the last.
I think notes, task management and calendar.. all of that can be achieved via org mode.. of course not the part about sync with apple system.. you can then use syncthing between multiple devices..
thanks for this series and I promise to stop using Obsidian as a dumping ground for articles I once read and will start using it more to capture my own knowledge about all things..
I would like to see note taking methodology without obsidian. I can't use obsidian at work due to restrictions around it not being open source/license approved for business.
I really recomment logseq which is open source. It's an outliner and easy to pick up and writes to markdown files like Obsidian. It's what I use for work and personally.
Hey Mischa, great content! Would it be possible to ask you to create some more content on: (1) Discovery in your own second brain? Maybe how to link new notes into older ones? (2) Can you expand more on these RSS feeds? I never used one of those, maybe an intro and how to setup? best regards
Great video, and so true about the exhausting AI being EVERYWHERE; you put it so well: using AI everyday, but INTENTIONALLY, very well said. Looking forward to see how your journey goes, given that Apple's policy is, IMO: "you're either with us completely or you're not"
Really nice timing. I started to do this exact switch a month ago, from Mac to a Framework laptop with Arch linux. Moving my second brain was the worst, but I have landed on Todoist for my task manager (it’s a little clunky but supports vim like key bindings). You can only have 5 lists on the free tier though. As for calendars, you could try Morgen, which allows you to sync your Apple calendar etc. If you come up with better solutions please share them!
Misha, why don't you talk about file management? Which folder structure do you use? Do you have multiple devices, and are your files synced with the cloud? Do you also use the PARA structure for your files and folders?
If you find a way to switch from Apple to Linux, let me know. That's a huge game-changer for me. Honestly, I didn't know that you can do all of that using Siri and Apple Reminders. I think the downside of using a brand too much is that you end up married to it forever. Nice video! Great content!
14:30 I watch a video (in my shallow consume time), that was recommended by the youtube algorithm to me. and the video says I should not do that. Isn't it ironic?😅
I am looking forward to the video where you switch distro, because you got sick and tired of spending so much time with fixing broken updates and repositories ;-)

Love your content, Mischa! Thanks for sharing your second brain content.

Try Affine with your note taking. 😉

Nice camera setup
Now i'm curious about the task management migration.

If you find a good way to integrate all of this with linux, can you make a video about it? I didn't made a full switch to linux because of this

Lets see how long I last! ^^
You’ll probably be able to disable most if not all of the AI features. If not through settings, then through MDM and plists
In your Reminders lists - what do you do with project lists once you're no longer working on the project?
Delete them
Whats the app call?
It took him 29 seconds to mention that he's using Arch 😂
I will better my ways and start my videos with I use arch btw from now on
