Enjoy your bike, and I've seen some videos of adding a kick starter and I'm not sure I would ever do it myself. I have just made sure I have back up fuses, and also if I need to charge anything like my phone I use a power bank velcroed to the tank. It helps not wear the little motorcycle battery down more than it needs to be.
Oops, after buying the 150l, I walked into a showroom a month and a half later that had a 2023 crf 300l for $4690.00 with 950 miles on it. I could'nt help myself. Traded the 150l in on the 300l due to the extra power. I took the 150l out on the highway and it took 60mph pretty hard.

Great purchase love mine have 2500 miles on mine white as well , break in took 1500+ miles . The stock wheels have been very suitable so far , I have a jet kit and plan on installing the #115 main . My top speed has been 66 mph down hill with the wind tucked in stock form , 250 lbs load . elevation here is 300 feet Getting 80 mile per gal. If I am not flat out all the time . There is already lot of information on the XR150L. Testing on 222 cc. big bore kit is in the works . Feel free to comment or other questions. Phil .
I have gotten 100mpg plus out of mine so far, measured it twice. First time was like 107, second was 102. I ride mine back and forth to work and a little around town. I'm light, only 160 lbs though. 1500 mile so far. Agree on the break in. I noticed a power bump around 1100 miles.
Got mine a couple weeks ago. Learning to shift on one is easy! I had to order a rpm gauge off Amazon because upon warm up the bikes idle was crazy high. I got it lined out though with that gauge. I also got the larger foot pegs off Amazon and have a 45l top case coming for helmet storage. Plan on having a budget adventure bike out of mine. Have fun!
I have no issues with the foot pegs myself, but seems almost everyone replaced those and the tires immediately... but I myself feel very comfortable on mine off road in trails already. I'll probably just do new handlebars with the additional support bar at top, new rubber hand grips, hand guards, metal skid plate, and thats about it right now. I was going to get a usb thing and connect to the battery for my phone and Go Pro... but it's a small battery and we don't have a kick starter for backup so I decided to just take my power banks along rides instead. And I'll use the side helmet lock myself and the only thing I'll have on the bike is a xl size milk crate I got off Amazon and will have my dog harnessed in it so he can ride with me on trails and back roads. Stay tuned to the channel for the video's of us training. Lol he's doing really good, but you can tell he's only nervous because of how high up he is. I might also put on a customized graphics kit in blue. It was on Amazon also for like $150
@@EbikesandMoreyeah I went from a Navi to this and I had upgraded to a lithium battery and have a usb port deal on it but yeah. Gonna sell the Navi and put that towards paying down the new one. The tires seem fine to me. The pegs seemed a little small so I just got the wider ones. I took it down a gravel road I had issues on with the Navi and my wife’s adv150 and being able to brake the bike with the engine is amazing. It just goes however fast you want. On a scooter the bike just wants to coast fall speed and applying brakes makes it feel like it’s gonna come out from under you. Can’t wait for warmer weather. I have a mount on my helmet for my go pro and I figure I’ll get the media mod next so I can run a mic in my helmet for some “rural Missouri” adventures! Also, if I may pry.. how tall are you? I am able to fully get my feet down and my jean length is a 34. I sat on a full size klr before I got the xr and it felt like a NBA players bike more then a mere mortals. 😆 I could only tip toe that bike.
@xbigbobsagetx i am only 5 foot 7 and i am not quite on my toes but definitely not flst foot. But considering it's so light weight I'm not concerned about the seat height at all.

@@EbikesandMore You got it man, I got the white one too. I have changed nothing on it at all. Done 1 oil change and that's it. Noticed an increase in power at about 1100 miles and went online and found out that is common. Also no need to hold off to 2024 model because these things are unchanged for years. My friend in the Philippines brother runs a bike shop and these bikes are like standards there. Same thing in Vietnam and Latin America, lots of places. These are like swiss army knife bikes, special at nothing but do everything. Don't let old stuff like rear drum brake, carb, analog speedo, etc bother you. In fact, that just makes it more simple and is a plus. Also got mine in Oct and have ridden it all winter without probs. Basically never use the choke. Just let it warm up a few mins in the cold to get the oil moving. May take a few times to start if real cold then let it warm and you are good. Fun bike. I like your enthusiasm.
I had cash saved 2 months ago, and was dead set on waiting on a 24 model, but I'm happy with the 23 and love white. I thought I'd regret my color choice, but no regret at all! Seems like 3 white are sold to every 1 black.

The crf150 rally is coming soon , its been out in asia awhile. It has all disc brakes, fuel injection, better suspension for on and off road, higher mpg estimated 125mpg. But it costs $4.5k vs the $3k xr150.
Yeah I've heard that. Ans I heard the 2024 XR150L models are coming soon too, but after waiting 3 months I just got the best deal I could on a 23. I understand the rally is going to be more torque, more speed, and more... but the XR150L is really the exact bike I was looking for. I don't want a fast bike at all... just something to cruise trails and back roads. And I had cash saved to buy this and wasn't going to save anymore. I almost saved up and got the Trail 125 ... because that's the style of riding I'll be doing. Maybe a rally one day though... thanks for watching!
That sounds like when I drove and picked up my 76 Kawasaki KZ400, and put it in the back of my Ford Edge. Lol you gotta do what ya gotta do! And glad you got one also. I think Honda will sell twice as many of them this year the more people find out they are available now in the US. I just ordered some Barkbuster hand gaurds is the first thing I'm doing and new rubber hand grips. I don't mind the foot pegs honestly. But i have smaller feet

Don’t let a carb bike deture ya. When tuned right they run fantastic. If you put a higher flowing exhaust & or add a higher flowing air filter you will need to rejet the carb. Good luck, be safe & most important have FUN man!!
Thanks man, and yeah I'm actually really glad to get a carburated bike. I plan on keeping everything stock performance wise until the bike is broken in. They say like 1,000 to 1,500 miles... then I'll be getting either a better carburetor, or rejetting this one, and then and exhaust, and better air flow intake and they even have a big bore kit already... so performance will come.. but not why I bought a 12hp bike... lol i can't wait to just cruise around with my dog on trails and back roads and just riding under 50mph mostly.
The 2024 comes in June, but the same except a $100 increase in MSRP. It’s a nice camp bike or play bike, but if was serious they’d make the XR250l for the USA. You need to have some power, otherwise you have to move to the side of the highway or risk getting run over. Most drivers are decent, but a few people they will run right into you.
I completely agree. I'm waiting for that extra power to come after the break in of the engine. Lol It is very underpowered, and very windy and sketchy riding over 55 in my opinion. But yes it is a great little cheap bike. And I got it for in town use, amd trails. But I don't have a hitch and trailer yet... so it is sketchy getting to places. Yes some people have stayed a very good distance behind as I go about 50 in a 55. Lol it was windy. And then some driver's were right up my a$$ and dangerously close. I heard the 24 had adjustable preload front forks or something, so that's why I was waiting... but glad I got it while I could and I appreciate what i have. I never in my life thought I could buy a brand new vehicle from a dealership. Yes it's like the 2nd cheapest bike in the US... but still it feels great to have something no one else has owned. This engine used first in the world on a brazilian motocycle named CG 150 2004 this engine used in 2004 to 2016 one of the best engines of honda. 2004 at 2008 using carburator and 2009 to 2016 using fuel injection.
@andMore It really is indestructive i have one CG 150 Since 2008 and no problems with the engine but you need to check the oil level if it is low top up. And the oil change should be done every thousand kilometers driven. Another info... Here in Brazil have another motorcycle with this engine named NRX Bros 150 2006 at 2016. The 2014 models are identical to the one in your video. This engine used at 2016 after this Honda Created CG 160 and NRX Bros 160 With Fuel Injection new engine and new models...
These sized bikes are the most fun you can have under seventy miles per hour. Essentially everywhere legal. I used to go to a local driving range on my TS250 Suzuki and just ride around the driving range for hours ( as fast as it would go) which wasn't that fast but it was a blast. I never got out of third gear max . Only in that for a second. Fun bikes. It's a Honda. Change the oil regular and put in great gas and it will last a long time. Don't let all your friends ride it though. They will kill it for you in a one ride crashem up quick. Congrats.
I prefer the white one myself. I plan to get one in the near future, I hope I can find a new one in white when I get my ducks in a row. I’m about to pay off my Rally, then I’ll be able to get it. I love the latest XR650 thats white, I think it’s best looking one ever made.
Yeah the white stands out more and is more visible to other driver's. I love my bike, and now take it instead of my SUV every time I do something in town. Yeah they had a XR650 there too snd that's a heck of a bike! I might eventually grt a 300 in a feew year's.
@@EbikesandMore I’m an older experienced rider, who has owned everything from a 50cc to an 1100cc, and the 300 is just the do it all motorcycle for me, especially with all the aftermarket mods that are available for it. I would own a 450l if it weren’t for the short maintenance intervals. When you have to do that much maintenance to a bike that you’re not racing, it just doesn’t feel like a Honda anymore. My excuse for wanting a 150 is that I need a good friend bike. Something that just about anyone can jump on and ride along with me... But the truth of the matter is, I’ll probably be riding it more than anyone else! Lol... Small bikes are just a blast to ride! They are the most fun you will ever get out of a bike. The bigger they get, the more I see them as tools. A Job specific tool, which starts to feel more like work than play... You ever hear these reviewers refer to a bike that is fun and easy to ride? Well you have the bike that is the king of that category. And the 300 doesn’t stray very far from that. Especially once you have some time in the saddle with the 150. But the 150 will always provide a fun factor that is unmatched.
I've never owned a Grom, but ridden a few... it's like it's own group of riders and a cool group that modifies them. But it's such a tiny bike that can't do much off road and the XR150L is a full size bike and dual sport. I absolutely love my XR150L and was considering the Trail 125...but I honestly have no regrets at all. I would highly recommend the XR150L.

That's crazy how different the prices can be across the country, and in others. Here in Ohio, they had a bunch at my local dealership, and that's why I decided at the time to rey and wait for a 24 model for only $128 more. But told them if they get ne to $3,800 out the door I'd buy a 23 model that they still had plenty of. But had them take off a plastic skid plate they wanted $200 for. And also some people get quoted the warranty or service plan too, and it's like $1,700. So some people don't realize the warranty is separate, and can take off and don't look through the whole quote and realize. It came to the US finally after a bunch of little EPA changes, to be the 2nd cheapest production bike in the US. I like it, and it's a nice bike but they should've brought an XR250L to market here, because this bike is too underpowered. Realistically I don't even like going 55 on it and ride close to traffic. If you hit a decent hill it won't even hardly hit 50.

All Honda did was something in the exhaust and a difference in the carburetor to get by here in the US from what I hear. I hear Canada doesn't get a lot of Honda models either. It bolts onto the bike in 6 different places. It supports much more than the sticker says. Lol but the crate I put on for my dog and groceries... my dog's weight is actually 90% on the seat. I got mine for $3,800 out the door after fees and taxes. It was a little over 4k with a plastic skid plate on it, and Injad them take it off. So people got the warranty or service plan that was like $1,700. So some people paid up to 5k or more for this bike. Or some dealerships have then marked well above the $2,971 msrp. Luckily, my local dealership has them at that price, but charge a few fees.
You got a good deal. after destination charge and assembly and tax and license I paid 4,700. Destination charge was $650.00 but for under 5,000 still love the bike!@@EbikesandMore
I mean really there's a lot of aftermarket parts, and even different color plastics because the bike has been out in Tialand and other countries for like 20 years. So they are harder to find in the US now but that will change. I typed in 2023 Honda XR150L accessories into Amazon and... last night a nice metal skid plate was 89.99 and now today is already 109.99. Lol then you have exhausts specifically for this bike already and new carbs. I am ordering hand guards, new hand grips, LED turn signals, LED headlight and tail light, new foot pegs possibly, new handlebars. Then is already has custom fitting rear and front bags for it if you want and all kinds of stuff. So if I were you, I'd get one while you can!
@squiddy5889 i mean at only 5 foot 7 myself... i am on the balls of my feet. People at your height I've heard have taken the seat off and either themselves or professionally had some foam and material taken out of the seat. Also if you bought a softer spring suspension it might go lower when sitting on. But i only weigh like 125lbs and it barely goes down at all when I get on. Lol as long as you feel comfortable on it and can always lean to one side and atleast flat foot one side because it's not very heavy.
I'm not sure what success you'd have trying that, or the cost. It might just be worth buying new red plastics for it instead. This bike has been out in other countries for a long time, and ghey have aftermarket parts for it, but harder to find in the US. I'd suggest joining an XR150L Facebook group that's worldwide and see if people would have a link to new plastics in red that fit. I mean some people score them up with a pad and paint them, or yeah wrapping could be done if you are good at it. Or take your plastics into someone professional to wrap them. I personally hate the color red lol, and took the cheap sticker off the sides. But hey you do you. I just know that it is in red a few years in other countries.
I do already man! I got home from work and am pn it already in the backyard! I'm in Bellefontaine. Wo you're about an hour and 45 minutes from me. I would like to meet up with other XR150L riders and their bike's and have already talked to 2 of them in Cincinnati. So we could always meet in Columbus to make it central or at a trail or national park.
That is with full choke, and even after turning the key for a minute and letting the carb warmer heat it up some. And it still won't start without throttle until warmed. It needs rejetted.
I am actually leaned on the left side and flat footed like I do at ligts amd stops. I'm 5 foot 7. I've seen girl's that are barely 5 foot ride this with ease, so I don't think anyone is too short for this bike. Excpecially since it is so light. Just get use to only leaning on one side, or else yeah I'm not on my toes when upright at at stop but what people would say "on the balls of your feet". I feel very comfortable, and even take a lot of groceries or even my dog with me now.
Lol i feel like everyone should have one. 😆 🤣 it is such a great bike for the money. And I didn't want anything loud and power, and this thing will save me so much on gas just getting around town and stuff.

It was updated last week on their website where you can now get a quote for one... but none are actually qt dealerships yet. And probably are just now being buolt and tested in Mexico.

Yes, a $300 documentation fee, and $600 destination fee I believe. Another dealership a few hours away didn't have those fees, but my buddy was helping pick it up since I don't have a truck. So I bought closer to me, and got it for $3,800 cash out the door after fees and taxes. They had a plastic skid plate on it they wanted $200 for, and I had them take it off. No, it's a no technology bike really. But I just reset my odometer when I top it off, and keep track of your miles. It claims 124 miles per gallon, and completely stock I believe them in some conditions. I'm at 450 miles and filled it up 2 times so far just so that it was topped off for the ride.

Lol yeah it took me a day to realize that I got the bike with like half a mile on it, and not like 7 or 9 miles. I'm dumb. I heard they test them in Mexico at the factory, and I thought like they rode them a few miles. But I think they just suspend the back wheel and run it for a little bit. 🤷♂️

I mean to most people in the United States... nothing is special about this bike. It has no technology in it at all, it's carburated, it has a drum brake in the rear, and it has very cheap parts like the non LED turn signals and headlight and tailight... cheap hand grips... and so on... but man do I LOVE this bike! Lol to me, who never thought would ever go into a dealership and buy something brand new with... had a 1978 dirt bike before this, and a 1976 Kawasaki KZ400... this little quite bike is going to get me licensed easier, and save me so much on gas and wear on my only other vehicle!
@@EbikesandMore i'm not from US. so most videos i saw on youtube was like everyone getting 600,800,1000cc bikes. so i thought like there would be a good reason for you to buy a 150cc bike. which very common where i am from, so is 100cc, 125cc and so on.

This bike is a standard in countries like the Philippines and Vietnam, and in Latin America where no frills bikes that are hard to break are a necessity. Back to basics in world where everything has gotten overly technical.
@@plingboy6223 i am 36 years old now, and it's funny because at 16 or 18 when in high school I was about to get a 600cc. Glad I didn't when I was that young.... I have a KZ 400 and that's enough for me. I love other countries that just have small bikes. America is a place where a lot of people make fun of small bikes or think it's girly... but who cares how many cc... if it gets from point A to point B that's all that should matter. But this is a country that I believe you are more likely to die in a car accident than even die of cancer. So people are always in a freaking rush to get places. I can't wait to just put around on this little thing.

Has the motor enough power to maybe pull a slighter higher gear? Maybe 2.-3 teeth down on the rear sprocket etc?

I took it down a gravel road I had issues on with the Navi and my wife’s adv150 and being able to brake the bike with the engine is amazing. It just goes however fast you want. On a scooter the bike just wants to coast fall speed and applying brakes makes it feel like it’s gonna come out from under you.
Can’t wait for warmer weather. I have a mount on my helmet for my go pro and I figure I’ll get the media mod next so I can run a mic in my helmet for some “rural Missouri” adventures!
Also, if I may pry.. how tall are you? I am able to fully get my feet down and my jean length is a 34. I sat on a full size klr before I got the xr and it felt like a NBA players bike
more then a mere mortals. 😆 I could only tip toe that bike.
@xbigbobsagetx i am only 5 foot 7 and i am not quite on my toes but definitely not flst foot. But considering it's so light weight I'm not concerned about the seat height at all.

@@EbikesandMore You got it man, I got the white one too. I have changed nothing on it at all. Done 1 oil change and that's it. Noticed an increase in power at about 1100 miles and went online and found out that is common. Also no need to hold off to 2024 model because these things are unchanged for years. My friend in the Philippines brother runs a bike shop and these bikes are like standards there. Same thing in Vietnam and Latin America, lots of places. These are like swiss army knife bikes, special at nothing but do everything. Don't let old stuff like rear drum brake, carb, analog speedo, etc bother you. In fact, that just makes it more simple and is a plus. Also got mine in Oct and have ridden it all winter without probs. Basically never use the choke. Just let it warm up a few mins in the cold to get the oil moving. May take a few times to start if real cold then let it warm and you are good. Fun bike. I like your enthusiasm.

I had cash saved 2 months ago, and was dead set on waiting on a 24 model, but I'm happy with the 23 and love white. I thought I'd regret my color choice, but no regret at all! Seems like 3 white are sold to every 1 black.

The crf150 rally is coming soon , its been out in asia awhile.
It has all disc brakes, fuel injection, better suspension for on and off road, higher mpg estimated 125mpg.
But it costs $4.5k vs the $3k xr150.
Yeah I've heard that. Ans I heard the 2024 XR150L models are coming soon too, but after waiting 3 months I just got the best deal I could on a 23. I understand the rally is going to be more torque, more speed, and more... but the XR150L is really the exact bike I was looking for. I don't want a fast bike at all... just something to cruise trails and back roads. And I had cash saved to buy this and wasn't going to save anymore. I almost saved up and got the Trail 125 ... because that's the style of riding I'll be doing. Maybe a rally one day though... thanks for watching!

That sounds like when I drove and picked up my 76 Kawasaki KZ400, and put it in the back of my Ford Edge. Lol you gotta do what ya gotta do! And glad you got one also. I think Honda will sell twice as many of them this year the more people find out they are available now in the US. I just ordered some Barkbuster hand gaurds is the first thing I'm doing and new rubber hand grips. I don't mind the foot pegs honestly. But i have smaller feet

Don’t let a carb bike deture ya. When tuned right they run fantastic. If you put a higher flowing exhaust & or add a higher flowing air filter you will need to rejet the carb. Good luck, be safe & most important have FUN man!!
Thanks man, and yeah I'm actually really glad to get a carburated bike. I plan on keeping everything stock performance wise until the bike is broken in. They say like 1,000 to 1,500 miles... then I'll be getting either a better carburetor, or rejetting this one, and then and exhaust, and better air flow intake and they even have a big bore kit already... so performance will come.. but not why I bought a 12hp bike... lol i can't wait to just cruise around with my dog on trails and back roads and just riding under 50mph mostly.
The 2024 comes in June, but the same except a $100 increase in MSRP. It’s a nice camp bike or play bike, but if was serious they’d make the XR250l for the USA. You need to have some power, otherwise you have to move to the side of the highway or risk getting run over. Most drivers are decent, but a few people they will run right into you.
I completely agree. I'm waiting for that extra power to come after the break in of the engine. Lol It is very underpowered, and very windy and sketchy riding over 55 in my opinion. But yes it is a great little cheap bike. And I got it for in town use, amd trails. But I don't have a hitch and trailer yet... so it is sketchy getting to places. Yes some people have stayed a very good distance behind as I go about 50 in a 55. Lol it was windy. And then some driver's were right up my a$$ and dangerously close. I heard the 24 had adjustable preload front forks or something, so that's why I was waiting... but glad I got it while I could and I appreciate what i have. I never in my life thought I could buy a brand new vehicle from a dealership. Yes it's like the 2nd cheapest bike in the US... but still it feels great to have something no one else has owned. This engine used first in the world on a brazilian motocycle named CG 150 2004 this engine used in 2004 to 2016 one of the best engines of honda. 2004 at 2008 using carburator and 2009 to 2016 using fuel injection.

@andMore It really is indestructive i have one CG 150 Since 2008 and no problems with the engine but you need to check the oil level if it is low top up. And the oil change should be done every thousand kilometers driven. Another info... Here in Brazil have another motorcycle with this engine named NRX Bros 150 2006 at 2016. The 2014 models are identical to the one in your video. This engine used at 2016 after this Honda Created CG 160 and NRX Bros 160 With Fuel Injection new engine and new models...

These sized bikes are the most fun you can have under seventy miles per hour. Essentially everywhere legal. I used to go to a local driving range on my TS250 Suzuki and just ride around the driving range for hours ( as fast as it would go) which wasn't that fast but it was a blast. I never got out of third gear max . Only in that for a second. Fun bikes. It's a Honda. Change the oil regular and put in great gas and it will last a long time. Don't let all your friends ride it though. They will kill it for you in a one ride crashem up quick. Congrats.

I prefer the white one myself. I plan to get one in the near future, I hope I can find a new one in white when I get my ducks in a row. I’m about to pay off my Rally, then I’ll be able to get it. I love the latest XR650 thats white, I think it’s best looking one ever made.
Yeah the white stands out more and is more visible to other driver's. I love my bike, and now take it instead of my SUV every time I do something in town. Yeah they had a XR650 there too snd that's a heck of a bike! I might eventually grt a 300 in a feew year's.
@@EbikesandMore I’m an older experienced rider, who has owned everything from a 50cc to an 1100cc, and the 300 is just the do it all motorcycle for me, especially with all the aftermarket mods that are available for it. I would own a 450l if it weren’t for the short maintenance intervals. When you have to do that much maintenance to a bike that you’re not racing, it just doesn’t feel like a Honda anymore. My excuse for wanting a 150 is that I need a good friend bike. Something that just about anyone can jump on and ride along with me... But the truth of the matter is, I’ll probably be riding it more than anyone else! Lol... Small bikes are just a blast to ride! They are the most fun you will ever get out of a bike. The bigger they get, the more I see them as tools. A Job specific tool, which starts to feel more like work than play... You ever hear these reviewers refer to a bike that is fun and easy to ride? Well you have the bike that is the king of that category. And the 300 doesn’t stray very far from that. Especially once you have some time in the saddle with the 150. But the 150 will always provide a fun factor that is unmatched.
Honda XR150 or Honda Grom mostly urban riding I like both but it's hard to choose
I've never owned a Grom, but ridden a few... it's like it's own group of riders and a cool group that modifies them. But it's such a tiny bike that can't do much off road and the XR150L is a full size bike and dual sport. I absolutely love my XR150L and was considering the Trail 125...but I honestly have no regrets at all. I would highly recommend the XR150L.

That's crazy how different the prices can be across the country, and in others. Here in Ohio, they had a bunch at my local dealership, and that's why I decided at the time to rey and wait for a 24 model for only $128 more. But told them if they get ne to $3,800 out the door I'd buy a 23 model that they still had plenty of. But had them take off a plastic skid plate they wanted $200 for. And also some people get quoted the warranty or service plan too, and it's like $1,700. So some people don't realize the warranty is separate, and can take off and don't look through the whole quote and realize. It came to the US finally after a bunch of little EPA changes, to be the 2nd cheapest production bike in the US. I like it, and it's a nice bike but they should've brought an XR250L to market here, because this bike is too underpowered. Realistically I don't even like going 55 on it and ride close to traffic. If you hit a decent hill it won't even hardly hit 50.

All Honda did was something in the exhaust and a difference in the carburetor to get by here in the US from what I hear. I hear Canada doesn't get a lot of Honda models either. I love the Trail 125 also. Do you guys have that?

It bolts onto the bike in 6 different places. It supports much more than the sticker says. Lol but the crate I put on for my dog and groceries... my dog's weight is actually 90% on the seat. They had a plastic skid plate on it that was a $200 option that I had them take off. I want a metal one. Thanks for watching man and have fun on your 300. I'll probably trade up to 300 soon.

I got mine for $3,800 out the door after fees and taxes. It was a little over 4k with a plastic skid plate on it, and Injad them take it off. So people got the warranty or service plan that was like $1,700. So some people paid up to 5k or more for this bike. Or some dealerships have then marked well above the $2,971 msrp. Luckily, my local dealership has them at that price, but charge a few fees.
You got a good deal. after destination charge and assembly and tax and license I paid 4,700. Destination charge was $650.00

I mean really there's a lot of aftermarket parts, and even different color plastics because the bike has been out in Tialand and other countries for like 20 years. So they are harder to find in the US now but that will change. I typed in 2023 Honda XR150L accessories into Amazon and... last night a nice metal skid plate was 89.99 and now today is already 109.99. Lol then you have exhausts specifically for this bike already and new carbs. I am ordering hand guards, new hand grips, LED turn signals, LED headlight and tail light, new foot pegs possibly, new handlebars. Then is already has custom fitting rear and front bags for it if you want and all kinds of stuff. So if I were you, I'd get one while you can!

They've been making this bike for literally decades abroad (Asia and Latin America). There is an abundance of aftermarket parts.

@squiddy5889 i mean at only 5 foot 7 myself... i am on the balls of my feet. People at your height I've heard have taken the seat off and either themselves or professionally had some foam and material taken out of the seat. Also if you bought a softer spring suspension it might go lower when sitting on. But i only weigh like 125lbs and it barely goes down at all when I get on. Lol as long as you feel comfortable on it and can always lean to one side and atleast flat foot one side because it's not very heavy.
How hard would it be to get it vinyl wrapped? I would change the white to Honda Red.
I'm not sure what success you'd have trying that, or the cost. It might just be worth buying new red plastics for it instead. This bike has been out in other countries for a long time, and ghey have aftermarket parts for it, but harder to find in the US. I'd suggest joining an XR150L Facebook group that's worldwide and see if people would have a link to new plastics in red that fit. I mean some people score them up with a pad and paint them, or yeah wrapping could be done if you are good at it. Or take your plastics into someone professional to wrap them. I personally hate the color red lol, and took the cheap sticker off the sides. But hey you do you. I just know that it is in red a few years in other countries.

I do already man! I got home from work and am pn it already in the backyard! I'm in Bellefontaine. Wo you're about an hour and 45 minutes from me. I would like to meet up with other XR150L riders and their bike's and have already talked to 2 of them in Cincinnati. So we could always meet in Columbus to make it central or at a trail or national park.

It wants to die because you need to put the choke on to warm it up in cold weather.
That is with full choke, and even after turning the key for a minute and letting the carb warmer heat it up some. And it still won't start without throttle until warmed. It needs rejetted.

I am actually leaned on the left side and flat footed like I do at ligts amd stops. I'm 5 foot 7. I've seen girl's that are barely 5 foot ride this with ease, so I don't think anyone is too short for this bike. Excpecially since it is so light. Just get use to only leaning on one side, or else yeah I'm not on my toes when upright at at stop but what people would say "on the balls of your feet". I feel very comfortable, and even take a lot of groceries or even my dog with me now.

@@EbikesandMore I have measured mpg on mine twice and so far 107 and 102 for me. I ride normally to and from work and around town, nothing that pushes the bike hard. And I am at around 160 lbs. Lot of people saying 80mpg or so but maybe they push it or are just bigger than me.

It was updated last week on their website where you can now get a quote for one... but none are actually qt dealerships yet. And probably are just now being buolt and tested in Mexico.

@user-ie4uu5et6q they are electric start. There is no kick start on any of them, and from what I hear literally the only difference in the 23 and 24 is adjustable preload option in the front shock. That's it.

Yes, a $300 documentation fee, and $600 destination fee I believe. Another dealership a few hours away didn't have those fees, but my buddy was helping pick it up since I don't have a truck. So I bought closer to me, and got it for $3,800 cash out the door after fees and taxes. They had a plastic skid plate on it they wanted $200 for, and I had them take it off. Also I've seen some people say they've spent over 5 thousand. But idk if that's with warranty or not? Because the warranty is like $1,700, or $1,300 and I definitely didn't buy that.
Does it have a fuel gauge?
No, it's a no technology bike really. But I just reset my odometer when I top it off, and keep track of your miles. It claims 124 miles per gallon, and completely stock I believe them in some conditions. I'm at 450 miles and filled it up 2 times so far just so that it was topped off for the ride.

Lol yeah it took me a day to realize that I got the bike with like half a mile on it, and not like 7 or 9 miles. I'm dumb. I heard they test them in Mexico at the factory, and I thought like they rode them a few miles. But I think they just suspend the back wheel and run it for a little bit. 🤷♂️

I mean to most people in the United States... nothing is special about this bike. It has no technology in it at all, it's carburated, it has a drum brake in the rear, and it has very cheap parts like the non LED turn signals and headlight and tailight... cheap hand grips... and so on... but man do I LOVE this bike! Lol to me, who never thought would ever go into a dealership and buy something brand new with... had a 1978 dirt bike before this, and a 1976 Kawasaki KZ400... this little quite bike is going to get me licensed easier, and save me so much on gas and wear on my only other vehicle!

This bike is a standard in countries like the Philippines and Vietnam, and in Latin America where no frills bikes that are hard to break are a necessity. I have a KZ 400 and that's enough for me. I love other countries that just have small bikes. America is a place where a lot of people make fun of small bikes or think it's girly... but who cares how many cc... if it gets from point A to point B that's all that should matter. But this is a country that I believe you are more likely to die in a car accident than even die of cancer. So people are always in a freaking rush to get places. I can't wait to just put around on this little thing.
