This freestyle serves as Eminem’s pre-Recovery warning shot. Em uses the beats for Drake’s Over and Lloyd Banks‘ Beamer, Benz or Bentley to announce his intentions to return to the top of the rap game.
This was also, in part, a response to a challenge issued by Rick Ross, calling out Em' to battle. After Ross heard this, he instead decided to collaborate.

I remember hearing this beginning of summer 2010 right before Recovery came out and just being in awe of how thoroughly he murdered the Drake and Lloyd Banks beats. I knew Recovery was gonna be nothing but a masterpiece after hearing this track as a teaser. And indeed it was.

I've been a rap fan for as long as I can remember and the flow switch in the middle is just legendary. Hearing Em over that LA Leakers parody song beat is the hardest thing I've heard in a minute. Who else remembers listening to that? I watched it for Kobe highlights lmaoo. That song and Apple Bottom Jeans kick-started my love for hip hop. The rest is history 😂😂
