Why doesn’t he just stick to proclaim what JESUS himself said that he is the only way instead of putting out there a statement that can only be understood as reenforcing the belief that all religions lead to God?
To which of many false Protestants sects should I go to??? You are misunderstanding with head of Western Christianity (Protestantism is heretical movement of Christianity like Islam is) has said. This applies to people who never heard of gospel of Jesus Christ, the Godman.
This should not surprise anyone. This church has rejected Sola Scriptura which has resulted in all kinds of false teachings like this. In fact, the papacy itself is a false claim.
@@brittoncain5090 So Christ and His apostles denied the Scriptures alone are the inspired-inerrant Word of God. Therefore they are the ultimate authority for the Christian and the Christian church. There is no equal nor greater authority than the Scriptures?
@@Justas399 So who made you the decider to say the deuterocanonical book are not inspired and second, if Martin Luther, the wicked heretic, wanted to removed the book of James, so would that mean the book of James is not now inspired. So if a Buddhist tries to live a life a virtue that is great and also remember God's in Matthew 7:21-23. That should enough scare people out of Protestantism as works clearly saves.

On the other hand there is this to ponder and answer “IF” you have one… History shows us that Jesus didn't leave us a bible, - the apostles didn't tell us which books belong in the bible, - the church fathers never agreed on the 27 books of the NT through the 4th century and ONLY the 27 books, - not only did they not agree but their individual lists of would-be NT canons were GROWING during this time. Always cracks me up that the Pope says ALL religions lead to salvation, but the catechism teaches, specifically, that Protestants are not saved if they believe in faith alone.

Dear Catholics, In the truest of loving sincerity, please see that what Pope Francis said is directly contradicting the very words of Jesus Himself! Your supposedly “infallible” pontiff is now directly contradicting the truly infallible God incarnate, Jesus Christ! They cannot be both infallible AND in contradiction.
I'm not roman Catholic, but you don't understand what they mean by Papal infalliability He is only infalliable when defining dogma or teachings on morals and faith that apply to the whole church, this has only happened twice in history Nothing the Pope does outside of this specific event is infallible
@@Justanaveragedude101 And I suppose that all those times Popes have contradicted either the Bible or other infallible dogma-declarations by other Popes, that we can just conveniently ignore it? The fact that declarations of unilateral dogma are the only thing considered infallible by Pope’s is hardly a rescue mechanism. These “infallible” statements contradict either each other, or Jesus directly, on too frequent a basis to be trustworthy.
@GhostBearCommander I've just told you that there have only been 2 infallible declarations by the Pope as far as I understand it, both relating to Mary, neither contradict other Pope's, so I'm not sure what you're talking about Regardless take it up with a RC
And that's why is so important to STAY in the Word of God because man will ONLY go directly to God through Jesus Christ by faith. World Religions DO NOT lead to God but are Satan’s counterfeits and the chief one is Roman Catholicism.
If Catholicism is Satans counterfeit religion then please explain why ALL Bible believing people receive their rule of faith, the Bible, from her, the visible Bride of Christ… History shows us that Jesus didn't leave us a bible, - the apostles didn't tell us which books belong in the bible, - the church fathers never agreed on the 27 books of the NT through the 4th century and ONLY the 27 books, - not only did they not agree but their individual lists of would-be NT canons were GROWING during this time. As a Roman Catholic, what the Pope said here is just wrong, on so many levels. Many Catholics think this, and this has caused quite the stir within Catholic circles I am a part of. Islam is not a path to God. It's that simple. Fortunately, as Catholics we are free to disagree with prudential judgements of the Pope.
As a lay Catholic I don’t think criticizing the Pope is not the answer. Prayer full concern, but criticism without full context could be unjust. Headlines are not context.
@dherpin4874 The full speech is available online. His words were "Religion is sort of like different languages in order to arrive at God" We are not bound to the prudential judgements of the Pope and we can agree or disagree.
@@RH-eq7uw I understand, but even if a pope is a heretic (not saying our pope is our isn’t) as lay person our priestly role is to those “under” our spiritual authority. That is to say public proclamations (including UA-cam) are reserved for the church who priestly obligations are to the public. I am not certain but I believe it is formally considered grave sin to publicly admonish a clergy man (as a layperson).
The pope just said that Jesus Christ is unnecessary in every way. What a shame that many in the CC will look the other way and continue on with business as usual.
This is so bad though, Jesus died and rose for us; the Apostles were martyred for preaching the gospel, and here comes the popery disregarding it all saying "that all didnt matter, just be hindu or muslim because all religions are paths from God"... There is one way, one truth, one life, and that is Jesus Christ.
Come quickly, Lord Jesus John 3:16-18 & 36 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 11:24-26 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Acts 4:10-12 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Rom. 3:23-28 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. Rom. 5:9-11 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. Rom. 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Rom. 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Rom. 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. 1 Cor. 15:3 & 4 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Gal. 1:8&9 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. Gal. 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. Gal. 3:10&11 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. Eph. 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Eph. 2:7-10 For we are his workmanship, That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. 1 Tim. 2:5 & 6 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. 1 John 2:21-23 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. 1 John 5:10-13 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. Rev. 1:7&8, 17&18 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. The Pope is actually a clever person . Dialog can be done through communication via scriptual interaction but in a lot of cases people have already made their mind up . Another form of dialog is our ACTION in faith and as a Christian if we follow the 2 greatest commands to Love God and to Love neighbor and if we can ACTION this in other religions by this ACTION of Love which surpasses ALL things we are walking in God . This is peace and dignity for mankind as the image of God . If the magisterium is such a good interpreter, how can it's head understand so poorly? If the "holy father" can't understand it, maybe they need an infallible interpreter of their infallible declarations? Not very perspicuous!
The Church has not taught and never did teach that just because the pope says something Catholics must believe it. To believe any one person understands all the teachings of God not logical. Do we not all look back on something we said with good intentions and have regrets?

As a Catholic, if the pope says something heretical that is not a call to abandon the church but to pray for the pope. A Christian should not flee the teachings of Christ because of the sins of Judas (a bishop of the church hand picked by Our Lord). He never promised the gates of hell would not prevail over individuals, but He did promise the gates of hell would not prevail against His Church. Not agreeing or disagreeing on any particular issue of the Pope, but only stating he is the head of ”servant” of the Church, and not the Church itself. His church role is to guide souls to Christ Our Lord, and this is the popes role above all others living. In so much as he does that he is a successful in his role, if he does anything contrary to that, then he is contradicting his role. I think the reason most protestants have issues with the pope is because all protestantism is man based. To clarify, if a protestant does not like their pastor, church, faith system, then they simply go find a new one. But with Catholicism we trust Our Lords words, “the gates of hell shall not prevail against it”. It is very difficult to be a Catholic today, however I recall John 6 “Then Jesus said to the twelve: Will you also go away? And Simon Peter answered him: Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life. And we have believed and have known that thou art the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus answered them: Have not I chosen you twelve? And one of you is a devil.” This both address that not all in the Church will be even good (much less Holy), but also addresses that we have to trust Our Lord even when we don’t understand. If luther was right then the gates of hell would have had to prevail, but luther was wrong and Our Lords words hold True.

I am proud to be a Catholic and am proud of Pope Francis. Only the Catholic Church cares for people beyond the Christian borders and fences. God loves the whole world and he wants everyone to be saved. Jesus is the only Saviour, but if the only Saviour is not knwn or if people have no idea of this Saviour, how are they to be saved? Are they condemned and damned? Does a just and merciful God condemn people who for no fault of their own have not yet come to the fullness of truth in Jesus? No. If the Catholic Church is reaching out to people who do not know Jesus or those who will not accept him, should it pain people like Kelly Powers? Christian pettiness is not a tribute to God or to Jesus, but an abomination. God wants Christians to reach out and not hold back. Only the Catholic Church has the common sense and the good sense to preach the gospel and preach it differently when needed.
As a fellow Catholic I don't see how you can come to the conclusion that Francis is preaching the Gospel here. He literally says that 'Religions are like different languages that lead to God' If you follow a religion then you follow the theology. The theology of Islam and many other religions completely contradict the Bible and reject Christ. So how can a contradictory religion be a path to God? Make it make sense
"preach it differently" is a different gospel. Galatians 1:6 I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel, 7 which is not just another account; but there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! 9 As we have said before, even now I say again: if anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed! Matthew 10:32 “Therefore, everyone who confesses Me before people, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. 33 But whoever denies Me before people, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven. 34 “Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.

And one of you is a devil.”
This both address that not all in the Church will be even good (much less Holy), but also addresses that we have to trust Our Lord even when we don’t understand. If luther was right then the gates of hell would have had to prevail, but luther was wrong and Our Lords words hold True.

Amen! Our God is a merciful God.
As a fellow Catholic I don't see how you can come to the conclusion that Francis is preaching the Gospel here. He literally says that 'Religions are like different languages that lead to God'
If you follow a religion then you follow the theology.
"If the Catholic Church is reaching out to people who do not know Jesus or those who will not accept him, should it pain people like Kelly Powers?"
