My wife and I spent our honeymoon camping in the Great Smokey Mtns, That was 46 years ago, it's time to go back. This time it will be in a camper instead of a tent, it's a back thing you know. Jim&Celia
I love Bryson City! One of my favorite places. It is not crowded like Gatlinburg. I went there two years ago in early October when the leaves were at their peak and they had a chili festival, which was cool. We stayed at a log cabin that was beautiful. That was before I bought my RV. This was a great video.
What an adventure! Your conversations back and forth throughout all the amazing view and footage is probably the best part! Safe travels. Thanks so much for sharing.
I just booked a few nights at a campground in Bryson City, and lunch on the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad for my SO for his birthday the last week of August. Then I decided to see what you guys were up to recently, and saw you were just there! Weird coincidence, glad you gave me a preview of what's to come :)
An incredible travelogue video. Now I have to try zip lining some time. I can believe it took 20 hours to edit this video. Great job! Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful area! As a kid growing up in Florida, our summers were spent at Deep Creek near Bryson City. We'd head over to Nantahala every year too. We'd take innertubes down that river and skip the rentals at NOC :) Lots of stares.
RV Lifestyle I just cried when I opened it because she drew my dog so beautifully! My dog passed May of '17. She was 16 and the best dog I'd ever had. I'll treasure the drawing always!
I was in Bryson City and drove the entire Smoky Mountain area two years ago in October when the leaves had changed with my photographer son. We rented a log house with a gorgeous view and drove every day to different locations, hiking to waterfalls and seeing a lot of wildlife. GoogleMaps does not show the exact location for the Road To Nowhere. Can you tell us what that road number is?
Could you always tell us the month on your travels, so for us that would like to go where you have been so we would know the best months to go. Cant take hot hot weather.
I always put a locator with the temperature in my videos to give you an idea of the weather. This one was in July. And summers in the Smoky Mountains of NC are ALWAYS hot hot . :-)
I'm going to have to take that trip. Do you still travel with your dog? If so, do you leave him in the RV while you go sightseeing? Or, do you utilize dog sitters (doggie daycare). I travel with two dogs.
Very nice, thanks for taken us along..
The fire performer in the tunnel was awesome!! Thanks for sharing and safe travels! 😊
Loved it, thanks for taking us along!
This place is beautiful and exciting! I am adding this to my list of things to do while visiting the Smoky Mountains.
You guys are awesome. So full of life. Great to see you enjoying our NC mountains. 💙

Wel all I can say is you did get nowhere fast!! Thanks for the visit guys..................... Love it.
The river looks to be higher than normal. I did it several years ago and the only class 2 rapid was at the end. It was a good intro.
What a Beautiful area!! Train ride pretty, but at least two hours too long for me. Hiking and kayaking call....😀
We were down there at the same week. Took the trains on Friday and Saturday. Tried to get a site at the meadows, but You folks beat me to it.
Very interesting! Thanks

It was a labor of love and made us realize how much fun we had actually living it!
Thank you. And welcome to NC!
Taught me a lesson, B PREPARED!

nice video thanks for sharing
That was an amazing zip line. You guys are brave. That landing looks difficult though?
For this old guy, it was a bit challenging but very doable.

It is called The Road to Nowhere. There are direction signs all over downtown Bryson City. You can't miss it.
Her being in that tunnel was completely random?
Absolutely... totally, totally serendipity!!!!
RV Lifestyle amazing:)

How do we find your road trekking?
OK - I want details. Name of towns, time of year that is best, name of parks. This is where I want to go for my vacation next year. Thank you so much.
And BEARS!
Welcome to North Carolina ❤️👍
