Wish I had found this type of instruction years ago - for me, you teach how I learn - If I can find anything you have for sale I'll buy it. Teaching is an art form. Yours is great!
Chris - Thank you for the great video. I was able to follow and learn it easily, although I have only been playing banjo a couple months. Could you please post a video on how to play the chorus to the song?
You can get them at The Bluegrass Shack in New Athens, IL. They are available online and in person. UA-cam doesn't allow me to put web addresses in my comments, so you'll have to Google it.
I made an attempt at tabbing out Chris' version of "I Saw the Light" using Tabledit. I've posted it on banjohangout. You'll need the tabledit viewer to print/listen/view it. I left the kick-off off of it.
@Strategy5659 If I ever have time, I'll post an update. Usually I post just the first part because when the song is sung, that is the only part that is played. When it is played as an instrumental, then you do need both parts. I'm glad that you like my version!
I have two DVDs available, and I only teach at The Bluegrass Shack in New Athens, Illinois. I have too much going on, so I don't have time for Skype lessons. If you go to learnbluegrass(dot)com you can get information on the DVDs I have available.
