- As of right now our kids are scheduled to return to school with some new new policies. Justin and I are wondering though if they will really go back when other parts of the state are continuing online learning. Either way we wanted to be prepared and went over to @target and did some back to school supply shopping!

It would be so cool to put up a video camera and record the whole game for Landon. He’s a very strong, dedicated and loving brother who works extremely hard at his therapy, and it’s not his fault for missing Turin’s soccer games. I’m sure he really feels bad. Please do this for the strongest and most determined little boy I know. Your awesome Landon !
Crayola has great masks for kids. They come in a 5 pack; one for each day. Nose wire, cotton, and adjustable ear loops. People seem to love them.

I would check out the Crayola Mask Pack. It come with 5 masks and a mesh laundry bag. Also the straps are adjustable and there are 2 sizes, adult and kids. They are a little pricy at $29.99 for a 5 pack. If those are to much, I would recommend Etsy.
A Exhaust pipe burn is painful sometimes it leaves a ugly scar after it blisters hope Landos foot gets better 😬

I like the Old Navy masks. I am a teacher and in my town the students can not use their lockers. They cant social distance while using them. They have to just use their backpacks, This is going to be a year of learning new ways for sure.
I'm taking my kids to a chiropractor to get the fluids out. Even if you put vaseline behind the ear and rub downward all the way to the shoulder often helps our little ones to make the fluids drain properly.

I'm surprised the doctor did not recommend a decongestant for Ashton's ears. You can also try having him lay on his side with a heating pad on top of his ear. That can help drain the fluid. Then turn over with the pad on top of that ear. A family doc I worked for recommended that.

My favorite, also my kids favorite, masks are Care Cover protective masks. They come in kids and adult sizes. Have 3 layers plus a filter pocket. The ears adjust. And they are very breathe able.
From my research I found that only wearing a protective shield does not protect very well. If you wear it with a mask it's good protection, but really hot.i

Enjoyed watching this! I have been seeing ENT doctors and my Audiologist a lot now because of my hearing loss. I had right sided cochlear implant surgery on September 6, 2019 and am scheduled for left sided cochlear implant surgery on October 30, 2020. Every time I go see my Audiologist now I usually have a hearing test done.
When I was at primary and secondary schools in London all school equipment was provided, it was state run.
It’s all changed now. It must cost you an arm and a leg money-wise 💰.
It was nice to see London’s siblings at his therapy and I can understand his frustration not being able to see his brothers soccer game.
Therapy has to come first as it’s very important for his progression, I love your vlogs and animations they are really good.

I’m going to the audiologist tomorrow! I’m getting new hearing aids but that because I’ve been deaf in one ear my whole life ... it hasn’t really affected me in any way but I’m excited for some new hearing aids !

Target cat & jack has kids mask for $4 and it comes with 2 masks.
You can buy filters from amazon and put them inside.
They said on the news today that the vented masks allow germs to get in, so that's no good. And any of the vented ones with holes or what not are no good. The cotton ones people make that can be re-washed are good, and the many layers of paper ones that the doctors/nurses wear are good. But I'm sure you'll see that one the news out there soon as well.
If my 8th grade students decide to erase their scores, I’ll applaud the efforts. I’m worried about my CP acting up by rotating in and out of classrooms with no break to rest. Make sure you get the nose wire masks for the twins. Less foggy for glasses.

Our experience with the vent masks is that they aren’t any more breathable than the non vented ones. The best deals I’ve found on decent masks was at Target. Turin cracks me up with that look of nervous happy suspicion 🥰

Definitely Old Navy.Com!!! The masks are super comfortable, easy to breathe and you actually forget you have them on. I have purchased them repeatedly (for me and family) and what I love about them is that they are washable (I don’t dry them in the dryer.) and inexpensive compared to the blue surgical masks which makes you sweat! Also, because they come in a package of 5, you have one for every day. They FULLY cover your face and don’t pinch your ears. I also wear glasses and learned to put them high on the bridge of my nose so my glasses fit over them and they don’t get fogged up. Trust me, once you wear them, you’ll go crazy reordering them! (They always say it will ship in weeks, I’ve always gotten mine with 2 weeks.) Try them, you’ll rave like everyone else who owns them 😁👍👍

When I was in school, I never did the back to school supplies shopping, because I still had leftover from last year that can be used for the next year, especially notebook 😅
Sammie Lantang same 😂 I’m still in school but all I do is get the few things I need e.g a whiteboard pen and a glue stick not all of its brand new.
I would recommend neck gaiters, they are really comfortable. Plus when you need to take off your mask you won’t forget it because you’ll have it around your neck all the time. And also they look stylish.

Home Depot just started getting in breathable masks for children. I have to wear them because my head isn’t big enough for the adult sized ones🤣🤣. I’ve found it’s super easy to breath in them, they don’t fog my glasses, and they come in all kinds of cool colors!
in our walmart's clearance section there were boxes of the black ticonderoga pencils for 75 cents once.
Amazon has the five packs of crayola masks as well as old navy!
Holding something warm on his ears will help if they feel sore. Hopefully the fluid will leave soon if that is the issue.
My grandson and husband both use the vented face mask and love them. They come with filters to protect you and others. you can breathe easier and more comfortable. They have tried a lot of different ones and found these to be best. Husband wears his 8-10 hours a day. Grandson wears his 4-6 hours sometimes. No complaints. Also some other family members have switched to vented ones. Good luck. 👍🏻
Don’t get vented masks unless the vent is filtered. Otherwise, kids can breathe germs in and out. They are also difficult to wash properly. Old Navy has kids masks that people are raving about.

Vented masks either way will let germs out, protecting the user but not the people around us. Which is the opposite of what we’re going for.

I’ve noticed that Target and Old Navy have a large variety of masks for kids that’ll probably be best. I would suggest going into the store to search for them as the reviews for some of the Old Navy ones indicate that the masks run small and since they’re not returnable, you’ll want to ensure you’re getting the best size for the kids. As for the masks with the vents, it is my understanding that those vents filter the incoming air but do not filter the outgoing air. The main purpose of masks is to protect others in the event you are contagious and so the vented masks are not aiding in that. I’ve seen several stores (and Disney) not allowing people in with the vented masks due to this reason.

Hanes brand masks are age and sized appropriate for all ages. I own the white ones and I am sure black is sufficent as well. They are washable and I have washed mine without issue. They are made from men's underwear brief material (new of course). The Hanes ones come in a pack of ten to twenty for about less than ten dollars usd.

Old Navy has very comfortable face masks. My niece wears hers. I have them for work and they don't bother me. Fun colors in the kids ones as well. Very reasonably priced. I think I got my 5 pk for $15 or so. Washable as well.

For the ear thing, I lay on a towel and it comes out over time. You can also put alcohol drops in to prevent swimmers ear! I hope the burn on Landons foot gets better!

when I have water stuck in my ears I sit/stand on my bed and fall on my side without bending anything. That usually forces the water out and prevents infection. Like a trust fall but on your side
Best tip for stoping ear infections after swimming is flush your ears out with clean tap water or water bottle water as that flush’s germs out and I use to get ear infections non stop now haven’t had one in ages and I swim every night

When I got water in my ear; I would lay my ear on the bathtub. It really works. If you do the face shield; they recommend wearing a mask too.

Those masks with the round vents on the front cover is called ANPOLLUTION N breath very well
my aunt is a nurse and she recommended to wear face shields and a thick cloth mask because you can wash them over and over or a mask with vents can also work. but if you get ones with vents you’ll have to switch out the vent after a couple times of using the mask. but overall the cloth face masks and face shields work great together.

get mask frames on amazon! they’re 3d plastic inserts that keep the mask a little bit away from the nose/mouth but the mask still stays on the face!

The fabric masks from target are the only ones my kids will wear. And You can put a filter in them if you want
I am a teacher and both excited and anxious to be back in the classroom (I did not love distance either but made it work). For masks I would suggest a fabric type, I know that is what I will be wearing (I had a friend make mine). I will also be wearing a shield, in my area the kids grade 4 and up require masks under that it is recommended but not required (not sure how I feel about that but....) Hope back to school goes well for your crew and that everyone stays healthy!
