This is the first time I've heard Jukka speaking English. I didn't know he spoke it so well! I was listening to TP in the early seventies and saw them live at the South Bank in London. Jukka's music was a big influence in my life at that time, along with that of John McLaughlin and Jimi Hendrix. In response to an enquiry about the band, Sonet very kindly sent me their albums from Finland. I heard about the troubles he had and I can see how painful it is for him to talk about the addictions etc. I am glad that he has found some peace of mind now. My heart goes out to him.
I love Jukka's outstanding genius artistry, and was heartbroken to learn of how very badly he went astray for awhile. But it's encouraging that he returned as best he could. I am an atheist, but I don't disrespect religion or believers. Some people truly need faith to navigate through life; why would anyone wish to deny them this? We need to support anything which helps individuals live healthy and productive lives, ones that are not cut tragically short. I wish only the best for Jukka Tolonen.
My friend and me first discovered TS Lambertland when we were 16 in 1973. And we played it to death. I am now 63 and still play the hell out of it. Jukka and the band were a very creative and a fantastic band

Jukka!! Det är underbart att få se och höra dig prata om musiken & om Jesus!!!JAG SAKNAR DIG, MIN VÄN!
Oh Jukka! This is touching me deep. Because... ..ever since i heard your music (Mountain Stream LP and Tasavallan Presidentti) i was so SURE that you already knew back then what, obviously, you onle learnt recently!! Of course you are loved by Jesus, always have been! So - you took the long, hard, painful way to come around!! Welcome to the club anyway, brother!! Please be assured, that by taking that long detour, you have left so many breadcrumbs through your musical output in space and time - you made MANY people feel confident in the LOVE of Jesus, obviously again, without even knowing so or heaving heard it YOURSELF. Thanks for this upload to One Way TV!
Let me guess, you just happened to been given a bible in jail, or you were in the AA while in jail, or your cellmate was already a christian? This "jesus" seems to be a bit of a scammer, he seems to target people on drugs, or in some other crisis, and only then he approaches them to recruit them. Why "jesus" never approaches busy people, who have their life in order? I know a scam when i see one go down.
Kiitos, Jukka! Wonderful to see and hear that you are born again in Jesus Christ. I loved your Pressa music and your solo output (especially from 1971-74), as well as your guitar work on the Nordic Jazz Quintet LP (which is here on UA-cam). Any new music in the works? It has been a while since the "Juudan Leijona" album (2011). God bless you!

is he still playing music now? Did Jesus take all his time since? I hope not...
Usually the religion becomes like a tumor of the mind, it starts taking up more and more of your time and energy.

He's had osteoarthritis for a long time now. He can't really play guitar anymore.
