Hydrogen peroxide or club soda on a blood stain makes it foam. Once fully foamed up, patting the surface and underside of the garment gently with papertowels (without rubbing the stain) can lift most of blood from fabric. Next, use cold water when washing with soap to prevent the hemoglobin from staining your clothes. After getting it rather clear, you can wash it in hot, soapy water with bleach or color-safe bleach products to fully remove it.
