Don't forget to add in Breaking Out's album, The Beginning of The End, and aside from some Japanese versions of songs, there are unique tracks... Intro, Breaking Out, My Way, I Miss You, Outro. Plus the Japanese MV versions of Piri and What do have some scene differences so you could do those if you want. They're all in my full albums playlist on my home page.

Easy Guide to Telling Dreamcatcher Apart
7:31 JiU Handong SuA Siyeon Dami Yoohyeon Gahyeon
Yoohyeon is very long and thin, famous for her abs and tiny waist. Singing she's usually doing something absolutely gorgeous. Often blonde but not always. Just barely the tallest member, JiU and Siyeon could be close depending on shoes or camera angle but she will tower over SuA and Gahyeon.
Siyeon always looks tall with long arms and legs, and might have any length or color hair. SuA is short, compact, with usually dark and ALWAYS long hair. Even if their faces get mixed up, if she's tall or short hair it's definitely not SuA.
Gahyeon and SuA are roughly the same height and body type but they usually don't get mixed up because Gahyeon's lips are so unique.
Identifying JiU and Handong is a little tougher, just takes practice. JiU has a more oval face while Handong has a V shape chin almost like an upside-down triangle. Outside MVs, JiU's smile is pure sunshine and SuA's laugh is unique.

"What" is still in my top 3 favorite title tracks. It's heavy for a Korean release and I love the syncopation in the second half of the chorus. Story-wise this is the first time they wear non-uniform outfits, which I believe is because they lost Yoohyeon (or at least her spirit) and are kind of broken. You can also see them search for her alone, not as a group. For me this is a song about the loss of a loved one and what that does to a group or family. I might be reaching, but this is the meaning for me.
"Piri" is the last part of the Nightmare Arc (their Japanese release "Breaking out" can be seen as an alternative ending). In "What", the girls have been searching for Yoohyeon, and here they find each other again, but in the end they are all stuck in the white dimension. A Piri is a Korean flute that was used historically to signal danger, and that is what Yoohyeon does here when the members arrive. She is the one capturing them one by one, to rescue them and bring them to safety. They are together in the end, but still stuck. Dreamcatcher don't do happy endings. 😉
The next song is not part of the Nightmare arc, it stands alone. Deja Vu is nothing short of a masterpiece. It is a beautiful, fragile ballad that kicks your teeth down your throat in the chorus. It is extra difficult to sort out, because it tells the story from two perspectives. You know how even evil people think they are the good guys? This is reflected here. One perspective is Yoohyeon's, who gets corrupted right in the beginning. She thinks JiU is bad (does not want to share power) and backstabs her and kills, imprisons or banishes the other members so that she can rule alone. The other perspective is reality, where we can see JiU be kind to Yoohyeon, but she gets killed for it. I believe this is a commentary on the different perspectives people can have about the same event. The lyrics seem to hint at an abusive relationship, where there are usually two perspectives as well, and the abuser finds excuses to justify their actions, while the abused find themselves in an endless Deja Vu.

For me, End of Nightmare is either Dreamcatcher's best album or a very close second to Summer Holiday, too close to call. So many amazing songs on these three albums though that, even after all these years, are still going strong. Curse of the Spider (2024 ver.) is an update this year, and Silent Night has taken ona life of its own at Dreamcatcher concerts, it's a highlight people prepare for.
15:14 Handong Supremacy. You'll start to notice something they like to do is drop out almost all of the music and just let Handong's voice do all the work for a while. A spot in Polaris too. The absolutely MOST iconic Dreamcatcher lyric is "Oh now I'm holding this pain" in Deja Vu and that is another, the ultimate, Handong Supremacy.
Edit: Curse of the Spider 2024 ua-cam.com/video/JUcuTIMTZq4/v-deo.htmlsi=rVGj5yZ77tvfpyh5. It's the studio recording over concert video so you can see them hyping up the crowd but don't hear it.

We weren't upset with you over the bad Wake Up lyric video. It has a lot of views so it catches a lot of people.

"They should be more popular" - You're preaching to the choir brother. Unfortunately, rock isn't very popular in Korea and is even a bit taboo due to an incident that happened on live TV decades ago. Because of that incident tv stations stopped airing rock music of any kind so it's just not something most of the general public grew up with or were exposed to. Over the last several years though, more and more groups have started incorporating rock instrumentation in their songs. There are also Korean rock bands, it's just not mainstream. While they do have fans domestically, compared to a lot of other groups they're relatively unknown, and most of their fandom is overseas.
And there was no one left is the hair commercial of special clips, lol. Their hair in that clip looks fantastic. That funky baseline is great. They've got a few more songs that have funky baselines that you'll hear as you keep going through albums.
You're right, they don't miss. For me, they have a 100% no-skip discography and I've heard most of their songs hundreds of times at this point and I'm still not tired of them.
Silent Night has become a concert favorite. They'll repeat that last drop 3, 4, 7 (I think is the most) times. Jiu will scream out "One More Time" and they'll play it again.

For the color coded videos, they were mostly wrong in the first few albums. Nowadays they are pretty accurate, especially the most recent ones.
