Biggest key to filleting is always sharpening your knife and when you use your knife to scale use the backside so you don’t dull the blade. But you go sis I love seeing my people enjoying the outdoors

This has been the most beautiful fishing experience I’ve ever witnessed to experience. There’s a difference in the black crappie than any other color crappie. It’s much sweeter and more flavorful!!! The scales come off a lot easier if the fish are wet. Also a great fillet knife helps you out. Great video 😎

I ran across your video while watching different things on UA-cam and I enjoyed it that was one of the reasons I started my UA-cam page cause my husband was a great fisherman like your Uncle and he had certain spots he would fish in but he passed I really enjoyed your video

Beautiful crappies, I seen you had a beautiful day! Don’t mean to be critical, but when you hook your minnows or shiners, always hook them underneath the chin and out the top of their mouth. also, I noticed that you was trying to butterfly the fish. Also I wouldn’t recommend that but I would recommend filleting your fish. The next time they were big enough to do that. i’m glad that you had a great time fishing with your uncle. It’s always good to be with family. May God bless.

Always have a sharp knife fillet from the head to the tail . Fillet knife works good.

Great job just make sure you either keep them alive or make sure you put them right on ice plus that will keep them from getting too mushy and also your scales won't be so hard to get off. But number one keep ya knife sharp. Glory be to god.

You're right, learning to filet is a learning process, one that I'm still learning myself, I've only tried to filet some large bass..... And I totally messed up the first one I did, left more meat on the fish than on the filet, but the next couple I did I got better, still haven't mastered it yet, but I at least save most of the meat now, keep practicing and you'll get it.... Love the videos.
It takes time and skill, we will perfect it! 🎣💕

Fishing is relaxing ,I love to fish myself I go fishing ever chance I get , I love to fish for cripple because I love to see them cripple bite. My mom and dad loved to fish so that where I get it from
Crappie are the hardest fish to catch not using a fish finder. Y'all did well considering it was the wrong day.😂
But using plastic is the only way i fish for them. Much better results if done right.
