I'm about to order this exact grill after reading many reviews. I put a grill together many years ago and swore I'd never do it again. After watching your video, I'm ready. Thanks for being so thorough and showing every piece and part. Extremely informative!
Webers are very well made and a pleasure to assemble. Once a put a Sunbeam together and it was a PITA with tons of leftover parts. I will only buy Weber from then on
Awesome video - Thank you so much! We bought our grill from Home Depot yesterday and as someone with zero experience in assembling anything your video was invaluable! Thanks You!
Just bought this for my son and I had to put it together myself! Directions were not great, but your video saved me! You were so precise! Thank you so much for posting!!!
My grill did not come with the instructions because i suspect it was a returned item. I looked at several other videos trying to fine one that was consist and correct. Just like the others are saying......GREAT how to video. My husband especially loved that you didn't ramble on but just showed how to put this together. You helped what could have been a very frustrating projectecome stress free. Thank you for doing this to help others.
I watched your video last night, bought the Weber this morning. My daughter, wife and I built ours watching your video this evening…never opened the booklet! SUPER well done and SOOOOO appreciated your video! THANK YOU!
you were a LIFE saver in our house! took us several hours to do but with your instruction, a whole lot less FIGHTS lol! thank you so much! fabulous instructions!
Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!! Your video is the best I've seen! I love the way you took time to show and explain what you were doing. I wish everyone that post how to video's would take a lesson for you. I am a 60 year old woman that does not mind assembling things and usually can figure out what to do even with crappy instructions, but when in doubt I look for videos like yours. I like the way your video pin point and explain things like the direction of the star washer and why. You are the best! Thanks again!
Thank you sir! You are a gentleman and a scholar. Your video drastically reduced my assembly time and your instructions were crystal clear. Excellent video!
We've been using the Weber Spirit E210 since 2014 and it's still going. No rot, no corrosion, still works fine, other than the burners are starting to fade. I had the chance to select the Spirit II E310 as a gift for my 35 years of service gift from my company a few years ago, so it was delivered and I kept it in the box, in my garage for 3 years. Now it is time to put it together and make the swap! Thanks for the vid.
@@RobertsInnovations I can't remember how many cheap gas grills we went through in our early years of marriage, but I remember the hassle of getting rid of them every 3-4 years when they rusted out. I wish I had gotten a Weber earlier in my life.
Extremely helpful video! There are a few issues that would be helpful to address: 1) There is a spot in the video (6:12) where you add the slats without mentioning that you turned the grill upside down from the previous position. And because there are no obvious signs of wheels at that point in the video, it was confusing to me why the slots would not fit properly. 2) Although the specific bolts use is listed in the instruction manual there are points in the video where the pieces that are being used are not referenced to the specific bag that they came in. Including this information would have been beneficial. Overall though, I am VERY glad to have found this video! Thank you!
Thanks for saving me the $70 our appliance retailer wanted to charge for the grill assembly. This was super easy to follow along with the instructions. Never owned a grill, but this took me roughly ~2 hours to assemble. Honestly, this was easier than some of the IKEA stuff I’ve had to assemble.
Thank you so much for this. As a 59-year-old single woman, I am patting myself on the back that I did this by myself! With your help, of course. 🤣 I went to Ace Hardware and bought a mallet, but could not get those damn feet things on. Not sure how you did that. Mine didn’t want to fit. I finally gave up. Also, mine didn’t come with the spirit II emblem on the right side attachment like yours. 🤔 Weber gave me a plain piece. Thanks again!!!
One of the best how to videos I’ve seen in a long time, 60 year old guy I’ve built and put together a few things UA-cam has been a blessing, We had our grill delivered from Walmart, $389.00 12/21 l had to build it myself, no problem 😳 I got to it right away laid everything out in garage 45 minutes later I realized this was going to take a while, after looking up a few videos and watching their video I gave up put everything aside, 4 days later I brought everything in the house, cause baby it’s cold out side 😐after finding your video you made it so easy to put together, I told my wife it was a life saver the step by step was so easy, it’s built on the patio ready to use, also I will be ripping the chain off like a chain saw🙂 thank you 🙏🏻
Thank you for posting this video. It saved me a lot of hassles. It let me know clearly that getting one of these pre-assembled at the store is the best way to go.
Great video and thank you! This is the ONLY video I’ve found addressing the heat deflector and the people who put it together (I know I know…I’ve got a bad spine though 😬) put it in exactly how it’s not to be and they seemingly jammed it in. Thanks man!
Thank you for this video. Its very important that somebody has the patience to make them. It save us a lot of time assembly theese and other outdoor projects.
OUTSTANDING video - thank you! While the instructions are pretty straightforward, this video is much better to follow along with. I had trouble as the one I received (shipped from HD via FedEx) had damage - the 3rd burner, the part that extends outward to where you attach the knob - the whole thing was bent upwards about an inch compared to the other two, resulting in the knob being completely misaligned if put on. Upon further inspection, the metal piece on that part where you attach the screw into through the face plate/front cover was completely broken off. knob stem was bent upwards quite a bit. I gave up figuring I was screwed and called HD. To their credit they arranged for a service to come out and pick the grill up half-assembled (I told them there was no way I could get it all back in the box and be able to seal it up for regular shipping). But then I went back and took a look and decided to just bang on that part a bunch with the rubber mallet. Took about 8 hard bangs to get it aligned with the other 2 but it worked! I"ll call Weber for the metal piece that is broken but it isn't really needed. Also, for others who recently purchased this model - it appears Weber has made some changes. 1. The right side shelf no longer has the Spirit II emblem on it nor the iGrill plastic piece. Both shelves are just plain metal now. 2. The latest versions being manufactured also do not have the GS4 emblem on them. Hope this helps others. I was wondering if I got stiffed by HD as I ordered the E-310 and all of the videos online and some pics still show the old labeling.
Your video and explanations gave me the clarity and confidence I needed to assemble my grill. Thank you for taking the time to make such a helpful instructional video.
Easy setup otherwise but I can't install the heat deflector shown at 26:00. The tabs have no way of fitting in to lock the piece into place. The tabs are spaced too wide compared to the hole
Fantastic instructions! Much appreciated showing manual then the actual item and where it goes. Was able to get it done during kids nap time and ready for the 4th! Thank you! ‘Merica!
I agree 100% I try and find stuff like this all the time but it really is difficult. That's why I started doing it. I have a few others that I've done as well
Thank you for the video! I just bought one from a yard sale in really good condition.. just didn’t have instructions on how to hang the propane tank… thanks again! Happy Grilling! 😊
I bought the same model in 2018. It said about 1-2 1/2 hours to assemble, Lol! Yeah, more like 4 hours. I love this grill! The only thing I've had to do is replace the flavorizer bars last year. Other than that, I'm totally satisfied with it.
Hello, I like your video on the assembly of the Weber E310 Spirit ll. You are very easy to follow and very helpful and patient. But I'm stuck on the reflector in step 43. I'm having trouble locking it in place. It feels a touch too wide. Weber support was very helpful when I didn't need help. But now they are giving me a tough time.
Are you referring to the shroud that covers the burner? If so it's pretty thin you may be able to bend it a little too fit. As for the length they settle in pretty easily and don't really lock into place.
OK, I had sworn off Weber because I wanted a blue iGrill 3 compatible E-210 which has been discontinued. Well, after shopping around, I couldn't find anything comparable in the E-210-E-310 price range, so I settled for a black E-310 because boxed iGrill models were still available at my local Lowe's. Besides, I got $100 off for using my Lowe's card. Assembly was pretty straight forward, especially with the BILT app. However, Weber needs to ensure that the propane hose bracket 12:20 is perpendicular to the grill frame, because had to twist my braided hose a full 90% in order to attach the bracket. I just hope I these hoses and flanges are designed to withstand that much contortion.
I cannot get the heat deflector to snap into place like in 26:20. So frustrating! Feels like I'm going to break it. Are the tabs protruding behind the heat deflector supposed to go under?
If I remember correctly yeah they should. You can always bend the tabs a little with some channel locks or something to get it in there correctly. They could have been messed up during transport.
Your video was a big help, along with the instructions. I just put it together last night, start to finish in 4-5 hours. I must say though, this grill doesn't feel like it will last at. I got mine for $350 last month @Home Depot but I wonder if I should have a spent a little more and got something of better quality... There was a TON of leftover cardboard, enough to fill a large recycle container even after slicing into small pieces. I'd much rather buy pre-assembled.
I wish I would have gotten the one with the side burner. But I'm still very happy with it. I have to take it apart and clean, might make another video on that too
Thanks. Super helpful. The isntruction sthat came with it were OK, but your video have me a lot fo confidenc in puttting this thing together. Not hard to do. Just takes some time. Looking forward to firing this sucker up!
I wanted to thank you for your helpful video. I just finished putting mine together. Took about 3 hours. Would have taken longer with just the instruction book. Thanks again for your helpful video
Oh man thank you for pointing out "they don't all the way in" I was watching and stopping while assembling the damn thing and had to unscrew the top end supports to get the holes aligned and said shit what's wrong here and boom, they don't go all the way in. The only thing I wish the grill had like most BBQ grills is a push/carry handle for the wheels
I just assembled this exact grill today, it was pretty straightforward and easy, excited to try it out. One question, the lid on mine seems to have a notch when it’s opened. You can open it, then almost lock it in place for lack of a better word. Not sure if this is normal, does yours do this? It’s my first Weber.
Due to how I need to store it. Can the wheels and fuel tank holder be assembled on the left side of grill instead of the right? Or the fire box be reversed?
I have had the Weber Spirit II E 310 Grill for a few years and like it but didn’t realize that the drip guard was suppose to clip in until I came across your video. One issue I have with my grill is the large gap above the drip pan, making it easy for mice to climb inside. Besides maintaining cleanliness and changing the foil pan regularly, do you have any other suggestions to prevent that?
Thank you for your e-mail. Let me try to clarify. Actually you were the one who uses the phrase, "locks in place" when you install the deflector over the drip pan. You called it a drip guard and I didn't know what to call it, so I found the Weber diagram and it's called a Deflector in item #30. There was only one other person who said that the item just lays over the drip pan. Everybody pinches it or squeezes it to lock it firmly in place. I am surprised that you said it locks in place in your video, but now you're saying that it just rests in place. I've been stuck on step 43 now for 2 days while all the videos show it being installed in seconds. My Deflector doesn't seem to fit.I need to call Weber again tomorrow.
Thank you so much! Our grill was missing the directions & I was able to set the whole thing up with your help (even with ours being the 2 burner not 3). By any chance does anyone know what the chain thing is on the dropping wing?
I have a problem with the wheel covers popping off on one side or the other, the axle is to long and it will push to one side or the other and knock of one of the wheel covers. If you don't move your grill around allot this may not happen often, or at all.
@@RobertsInnovations Weber has no known issue for this specific problem, I got the grill in Sept. of 2021 and it wasn't long before one of the wheel caps fell off, I thought that was just a fluke and put it back on, the second time it happened I saw what it was doing, called Weber, they sent a new axle, one new tire, one new cap < this was last year, yesterday when I went to put the new axle on, I noticed there was a wheel cap missing and I don't know when it fell off, and cant find it, I knew the new axle wouldn't work, but I had to try it anyway, did the same thing. You can see how it is doing this by removing both wheel caps and push one side of the axle in as far as it will go, then try to put the cap on the opposite side, you won't be able to, and you will see that the hairpin is the problem and is what is pushing the cap off, or you can put the cap on one side and push the axle from the other side and see if it will pop the cap off. The way I fixed this was by putting a brass bushing on the inside of the wheel where it hits the frame, the other thing that could be done is to put a small regular cotter pin in there instead of the one that came with it. Also I have tried to make the cap fall off buy moving the grill around, and you may have to do this for some time before you get the cap to come off. Good video by the way, I believe your's was one a few that I watched before putting my grill together.
We love this grill but have had critters get in through the opening at the bottom. We've had to clean it out and place a block of wood up against the opening to keep them out. Has anyone else had this problem with their grill?? thx

I don't know. I don't think so. It stays open when lifting the lid but really doesn't lock.
Due to how I need to store it. Can the wheels and fuel tank holder be assembled on the left side of grill instead of the right? Or the fire box be reversed?
I don't really know that's a good question
There was only one other person
who said that the item just lays over the drip pan. Everybody pinches it or squeezes it to lock it firmly in place. I am surprised that you said it locks in place in your
video, but now you're saying that it just rests in place. I've been stuck on step 43 now for 2 days while all the videos show it being installed in seconds.
My Deflector doesn't seem to fit.I need to call Weber again tomorrow.
Sorry about that, just think about a different part.
Great video buddy, thank you for sharing
What is the chain handing down on the shelf side? I just recently purchased not sure what it is used for
It's to hold a match of the electric ignition doesn't work
My man, you are amazing
Thank you
Thank you so much! Our grill was missing the directions & I was able to set the whole thing up with your help (even with ours being the 2 burner not 3).
By any chance does anyone know what the chain thing is on the dropping wing?
It's to hold a match if the automatic lighter doesn't work. They are really annoying so I just ripped it off 😆
In 22.06 there is a chain with a metal hook attached to the shelf. What it is for?
It's so if the spark igniter doesn't work you can attach a match and light it safely. I would just use a long lighter so I took mine off
Fantastic video. Thanks
Thank you. Happy to help
Great video! Very helpful! Thank you very much!
Happy grilling
How to you move the grill? Is the shelf strong enough to act as a handle/grip?
Yeah I do. I've lifted the whole thing with my wife by them and have no issues.
weber spirit e310 or the spirit ii? costco selling the non ii at good price im confuse which one and whats the difference.
I think mine is both. I think the E310 is the amount of burners and the spirit II is the model or style. But I don't know for sure
I have a problem with the wheel covers popping off on one side or the other, the axle is to long and it will push to one side or the other and knock of one of the wheel covers. If you don't move your grill around allot this may not happen often, or at all.
Interesting. I don't move mine nearly at all. I wonder if anyone else has that issue. Thanks for sharing. Something to look out for
@@RobertsInnovations Weber has no known issue for this specific problem, I got the grill in Sept. of 2021 and it wasn't long before one of the wheel caps fell off, I thought that was just a fluke and put it back on, the second time it happened I saw what it was doing, called Weber, they sent a new axle, one new tire, one new cap < this was last year, yesterday when I went to put the new axle on, I noticed there was a wheel cap missing and I don't know when it fell off, and cant find it, I knew the new axle wouldn't work, but I had to try it anyway, did the same thing.
Glad you got that working. I'm happy my video helped. I hope your comment will help someone else someday

What is the chain for on the left tray?
Looked it up. Match holder for manual light
Used for match stick lighting. And it's useless 😂
Thanks, great video!
Thank you
We love this grill but have had critters get in through the opening at the bottom. We've had to clean it out and place a block of wood up against the opening to keep them out. Has anyone else had this problem with their grill?? thx
