Savage Gear 3D Burbot in Action - Pike Fishing Waterwolf Underwater Footage
Вставка
- Опубліковано 12 вер 2024
- My first time using the Savage Gear 3D Burbot today and so far I'm impressed. I didn't have the best hook/land ratio but this bait has potential. This bait currently has 1 treble hook but I plan on adding one more to improve with hook ups.

8:44 is when he hooks up
You saved the day and my time
Pike are so furious looking, the way they attack a bait. Amazing video. This is why I love pike fishing so much!!!!! One thing I found really interesting is you could hear the reel through the line all the way down to the bait.
Make sure to check out the newest compilation...

Yeah just shows you how important it is to keep noise and movement to a minimun, they hear absolutely everything down there!
Freaking amazing footage. Those water beasts are magnificent man.
👊👍
When the first fish popped up behind the lure I was playing Jaws music in my head lmao.
I was doing it outloud lol
This camera man must be good
Lol
Lol
Lol
Lol
Lol
That just goes to show that you don’t know how many fish look at your bait they just don’t want to bite
Wow! Great footage!
🤟🏻😎🎣. Tight lines!
Ha my tight line is stuck in a tree
love watching these underwater cams :) liked and subbed
👊👍
And this is why I always say to cast far.... they can be so patient sometimes
What setup can i buy to cast super far? I use a 7 foot ugly with 10lb and it cast like maybe 40 feet at most
@@puprilla I have a 10ft uglystick big water, with an Abu c3, for my big spinners over 2oz, but I mostly use a slx dc, TFO TFD rod in the first power, and with 40lb power pro spectra fiber, and I can cast out my whole spool with a 1/2 oz, and I can cast pretty damn far with just weightless soft plastics, it’s my main setup
@@fantomphoenix6170 sweet man ima need to check that out i do alot of lake fishing and would love to hit the deeper further water so i can find the big boys
@@puprilla The best tip I can give is to use the lightest line you can get away with (10 lb is plenty light), and get a decent brand of braid. If you aren't using braided line, make the switch and you will see huge improvements in casting distance because it's so much lighter. I like power pro super slick.
@@tannerputman4437 yeah this is the first year I'm getting back into fishing since I was a little kid so I don't even know about braided line or any of that I just use green 10 lb test I think it's monocarbon to
I cannot believe they didn't hook up. Add another hook.
That big one I missed was my mistake. I saw when it took the lure and I immediately set the hook on the upwards motion. The hooks are on the bottom of the lure and I should set the hook like a sweeping motion. My buddy ended up catching that fish after and it was a tank. I thought it was gonna break my net
Love savage gear lures especially the soft naturals, eels, dirty roach etc but I have used this lure on Windermere and a couple of local waters and never even had a follow on it but caught when changed to naturals! Suppose it depends on the water and the day but I’ll keep trying... as we do!
KandyKush 420 I gotta give the natural colours a try
@@PUMPKNOWSFISHING would recommend any savage gear rubber fish and theres always a match prey fish for wherever your fishing and a good range of sizes. I still carry the usual weird and wonderful collection of lures though... just in case! 👍 tight lines
Where can I get a lure like this one
@@wesleywhite463 i use "glasgow angling centre", they have a massive stock list and they're either market price or cheaper and never had a problem with deliveries or customer service. I live in manchester and choose to use them because they have never let me down over the last decade or so, i get everything, bulk braids, reels, end tackle, lures etc and if you're ever im doubt about pretty much anything they give good advice not just try and sell you the most expensive products!
Hope this helps 👍 ... and no i still havent caught a fish with my orange burbot (had a few on natural colour) but will keep trying!
Holy god he CHOKED it why am I freaking out 😱
That is one big fat pike!
A red lense filter would be nice
FR
Why
@@maxl3189 you'd be able to see farther and clearer with it, it's like the fishing sunglasses with a red or orange tint you can see way farther into the water with them.
@@stpbasss3773 thanks man, I thought it would be for better view
Not a bad idea
I just ordered one of these - do you think I could troll for larger trout with it on a down rigger?
I noticed a lot of burbot in the stomachs of the trout I’ve caught this last year
Hello! Tell me, what camera was taken ? what is the name and where did you buy it?
Its listed in the video lol its a water wolf from Amazon
@@jordanlittle5391 can I have a link please?
@@RomanBoldov no you can open Amazon.ca or .com and type water wolf camera
@@RomanBoldov mate its in the fucking description
That's Awesome , Thanks !!!
👊👍
I want to go their and catch some pike I love catching pike
This is so fun to watch. Thanks.
👍
Is this on the islands?:))
That bait Is buteful
This camera must be good at swimming the fish is not even afraid of him
Cool video. Does the water wolf have night vision?
9:11 my head after I took a couple shots
I think its weird how fish will bite twice. But its nice
That's on soft plastics...miss on a hard lure & that fish will ignore the lure after that...you'll have to fish another spot & come back for him once he's had time to forget about it...
is that lure on a metal leader?
Bruce Le yes, line thru butbot by savage gear
Usually you want to use a steel wire leader when Pike fishing because there's a chance the Pike may bite off the line, especially if you're using Braid.
@@jacobstarr9010 I never use steel leaders, so that's not true. What you should say is always use a leader but 80 lb. flouro works better then steel leaders as is doesnt drag the bait down.
Always use a Steel leader to be safe
Buena toma, nuevo suscriptor saludos desde Mexico.
Where were u fishing?
I always found that odd that a fish will strike something with colors like that. A person would think that it would have to look exactly like the minnow or baitfish that they feed on instead of clown colored lure. I guess it’s something different that makes them strike.
Maybe is it something about the spectrum of colors in how they see that makes them see it like normal bait
It’s either because of hunger or territorial. A lot of folks think it’s always because of hunger but most predators are territorial as well.
6:50 that is one big pike.
OriginalMindTrick my buddy ended up catching it after. No measurement on it but the girth was big, almost broke my net
@@PUMPKNOWSFISHING Looks like a 12+ kg pike. Fat mama.
Saw one of those yesterday trying to go for my tiny 4cm grub. I got scared because I was fishing for perch and all of a sudden a one meter long pike showed up instead 😂
How much meters/or feet do you think the pike will climb up to hit a bait?
Not sure but I notice most pike are usually sitting on the very bottom and will start to follow 10-15ft. I believe I’m fishing 20ft if water
How to record videos like this, where I can buy camera to cast it, or at least how it's properly named so I can google for it???
Gofish cam or waterwolf cam
Dos mordidas y no enganchó??? No es muy bueno el anzuelo al parecer?
So because im not from america and dont know about freshwater there, what is the lure supposed to imitate? ( a natural bait fish/injures fish/ etc.)
It’s suppose to imitate a Burbot but I don’t think I’ve ever seen one caught out of Lake Ontario. I think they’re just attracted to the action of this lure
@@PUMPKNOWSFISHING thanks!👍
@@mrt7333 yes its a burbot, we have a small number in uk and some in europe and apparently you have them in lake superior amongst other places 👍
@@kandykush4204 wtf is lake superior, i dont know where you think im from but im an israeli.
@@mrt7333 missread your message thought it read youre from america 🤣 my bad! If you google "burbot fish" it will give you a good idea what it can immitate though, they resemble quite a few fish 👍
How do you rig the recorder?
Think they just used a realy small underwater camera, ive seen them used on carp programs to see how carp hook up on rigs, its just like an inline lead with camera pointing back!
Jesus how far do you have to cast it
Nice video...
2:25 ur welcome
Thank you
Love the under water footage. but that bait the hookups didn't seem very good 4
hogbelly fishing yup, you can see in the slow mo that one of the hooks was outside of its mouth when I had set the hook. I’m gonna add an extra treble at the nose.
Ok the bes
Good
I was fishing once and i was just sitting and waiting idk why but i was and a pike bit my frog once i reeeled it in and the frog was like 3 inches from the dock and he must have been watching it for probably 8 minutes it was crazy
@@Tyler-zw4kq yea and i was fishing in a small little bay in a big lake and we almost never get pike in there
You need to sharpen that hook...too many misses...
Yup. Sometimes you can see where the hooks are positioned outside of the fishes mouth but the big one I missed was completely my fault. I saw it strike my lure so my instinct was to set the hook strong and upwards but that just pulled the lure out of the fishes mouth. I should’ve have swiped hook set to my left
That's true of course...but a couple of those completely engulfed that lure...I need to get some of those btw...even a brand new lure straight out of the package can use sharpening...I bought a hook sharpener a few years ago & started sharpening all my hooks & get a lot fewer misses these days...doesn't have to be fancy or expensive to get the job done & just a few seconds of honing will result in more fish in the boat...I love the footage, but I'd have to watch it later personally, it's probably easy to anticipate the strike & pull the lure out of the fish's mouth if you're watching him hit it I would think...I know I tend to get really excited when they start biting...I'm thinking watching it like that would get me really antsy...Lol!
@@Road_Rash no doubt
