I think your monday at mirai series are the best. You give a glimpse of the trees and the work behind the scenes. Last one was astonishing. To me (68 year old dutchie from holland 5 years in bonsai) bonsai is a hobby keeping 100 trees alive. For you and your staff it is hard work. Repotting season is tough and tiring. And you have to maintain a top level of bonsai. I take my hat off and am humble.
Mirai transmit a huge respect for mother nature and the awesome results when you work for make this nature more espectacular..Yatsubusa Elm its a very good example of this! What people think REALLY doesn´t matter (never does)...Do your best and be happy with your work, take this feeling to the bed each night, reset you every morning, jump out of bed with alarm clock and think "every day in every way I can get better and better" (especially when everything is running in the oposite way). Thanks for another great monday!
As with all art, it indeed exists to invoke a reaction; love or hate but Ambivalence is not what any artist wants..!!! Keep pushing the boundaries of your style some will follow, some run away and others will be inspired to go further.
The fun and interactions between the individuals working there, along with the work, and strive for consistent improvement of our Artistic hobby is on full display in these videos. Oh, not to mention the awe inspiring types and collection of Bonsai at MIRAI. Beautiful. Now about using “olive oil” in cleaning the pots?
Ryan, that Thuja is looking killer!!! And the larch, loving it. Loved the Crypt stream and as always, best educational platform, Mirai Live, changed my life a few years ago. Loving everything Mirai does. My top place I want to visit!!! Love you guys and gals! And the hornbeam!!! Totally looks great going back to the right. Beautiful beautiful work
Hi Ryan your project with seasonal picea I got one that was being thrown away and tried to mimic your design to some success will you be doing an up date so we can see how it’s doing please
Thank you very much for our very well done series which was great to watch. My dream would be to come and do an internship with you in your pre-nursery ... But all this is far from France .... Thank you again and good luck and take care of yourself ...
This is a great way forward. And the guy editing... very good at picking out narrative if this stuff is not scripted. And if it is... great narrative. It doesnt look scripted. Standardisation, logical methodology. Like engineering. Then anyone can understand this stuff and develop it to their personal endevours and add to the pot of catalogued expereince. People make progress and the one thing that is constant is change. Pursuing change is okay around a defined normative reference. As bonsaists we are fortunate to have this normative reference which our trees give us by stopping the art in its tracks or allowing it to progress depending upon our actions. Not their job to do what we want. This is the art. It is perception and listening more than anything. We can change this normative reference only by changing the genetics of the trees which pops up sometimes but is very difficult to engineer. Most people on the outside realise that water colours don't do well in the rain. This model should raise awareness to the same level as this for bonsai (minimium). As awareness comes... so comes progress. Great model. Mirai generates and refines educative materials like no other company... and this is information based on public perception. Without the subscriptions. God knows what is going on with any subscription level stuff. The public can only image it is massive.
try to use old wool socks to clean your containers.... works perfectly and gives a second life to these socks that lost their spouse in the washing machine 🤣
Mondays at Mirai are now part of my week...
