  • What its like in the world's only underground river cave! This place could be dangerous! The Lost River Cave and the deadly bottomless pond was an eye-opener! Talk about tense! We had never heard of the Lost River Cave in Bowling Green, Kentucky, once labeled the shortest, deepest river in the world. It's family fun for everyone and one of the most popular tourist spots in the midwest! With legends of the small but deadly, bottomless "Blue Hole" pond that devoured anything that came near it and its connections with an ancient Native American tribe, Civil War soldiers and Jesse James, we had to check it out! We got way more than we bargained for not long after the tour began!

The Blue Hole was spectacular. Scary how many people have lost their lives there. Love the sound of running water.

Back in the 1800's a horse-drawn wagon fell in and was immediately swallowed up! It's peaceful look is really deceiving! Thanks for checking in!

@@OffRampAdventures I've been in so many caves that seem so peaceful that are deceiving. I have nightmares of a couple of the spelunking expeditions I went on years ago. The beauty of caves is amazing. It a feel of like being on the moon I would guess.

I got married there on September 12th, a few weeks before you guys shot this video! What a unique wedding venue it has been to tell people about!

I love cave & caverns. I use to be a spelunker when I was in my early 20s. I use to be a "go-fer" they called it on expeditions into the the caverns in Sequoia Nat. Pk.. Was super fun & exciting (sometimes scary) but pretty hard labor work hauling gear & stuff in & out of the caves. It didn't pay anything so I had to actually go get a regular job in the city which really sucked. I wanted to be a "Cave cartographer & cave biologist" but I didn't have the money to stick with it sadly.
Anyways, I seen this video before and I meant to comment as it's one of my favorite's of yours. I absolutely love caves & caverns. Hope you visit more of them. I hope to one day visit Mammoth Cave. I want to see if they have expedition through the famous Flintridge/Mammoth cave connection route that made Mammoth cave the largest cave in the World. Not sure though I'd be in good enough shape to do it these days anymore.
This cave was awesome to see. Thank you Jim & Vanessa. ❤

I admire anyone who is willing to leave solid ground and go spelunking! Wish you could have realized your dream, but you could still see Mammoth Cave one day! Hope you get there! Thanks the repeat visit!
