All the man is asking for is his credit. Ariana did bite his flow and took the song from another artist too. Had not heard the Soulja Boy claim, but I've seen a few others saying it's a copy of one thing or another. But like you guys said - there's a few things going into this as influences or themes or however one wants to term it. Tbh, I feel like it's better than a lot of the stuff she's done. More honest and less of just something to show off her vocal range.

I find this song to be shallow and musically boring, unimpressed very much. "Leaning into her sexuality"... well, it was pretty up front, and there are def wiser ways to express being "grown up" imo.
It was just a fun song she wrote with her friends while hanging out..its not meant to have substance they were just having fun...but hey different people like different things
