Gday AJ I looked at all the designs on UA-cam and yours is by far the best Love how you made out of scrap Subscribed now got a fan for life Cheers Rob 🇦🇺
Hey, just found your UA-cam video just subscribed great video just made this exact 1. Thanks so much, i started busting out pallets in no time. My 5yo grandson helped & loved it. Now i need to make 1 his size😂😂😂
Build Stuff with AJ ..the only issue with pallets here in Australia is a lot are made out of pine and rubbish wood so a lot ends up being kindling fire wood in winter , the boards that are good make some handy garden beds, work benches, and heaps more so I love the pallet pry bar it beats the hammer and jimmy bar any day .👍
Nice job...I have seen a few on here ,but this one seems to be the best so far....it looks very powerful . Wish I had all the tools to make it myself....especially the welding part. Thank you for the nice demo.
Yea it definently helps to have the tools. But you can always buy a pallet buster on Amazon, there is a link in the description of the video. Next best thing to making one yourself. I'm glad you liked the video and thanks for the comment!
i used old truck leaf spring to make a pallet tool...which at first worked wonderfully then "Ting" the leaf spring snapped right near the weld, I re-welded and re-enforced... once i came near a hard pallet, it snapped the steel spring again,,, so this time going to use thicker steel, I aready have a quad bar wrecking tool which works wonderfully, but it breaks a lot of the wider pallet slats. it also is short whih causes back strain... it has a nail remover built in which is Funderfull
They are really handy! This is the first one I've used and it only took 5-6 mins to tear that pallet apart. The last one I tore down took about 30 or more mins and alot of the boards split.
All the dimensions are in the description of the video as well as links to the tools and materials you can use. And yes I have broken apart a lot of hard wood pallets
I enjoyed watching the project but could not overlook the fact that you were using your Craftsman Table saw for a welding table. Wow- what kind of a man would do that?
Honestly it didn't take very long, but I work with metal every day so that makes a difference. It might have taken me 2 maybe 3 hours. It Honestly took longer for the paint to dry than it did to build it lol
Yea, the welder I've got is pretty cheap flux core welder and has alot of issues, I wish I had a good mig or tig set up, I could sure get alot of use out of them. But its what I've got to work with for the time being.
The only issue is that I see is the 45 degree angle handle. It will make you bend over more when prying. Perhaps, a 22.5 or 15 degree angle would be more suitable, if you really want an angle on your “pallet buster”. 🤷♂️
That might help out, But honestly mine works pretty well like it is, My only problem with it is how heavy it is lol. It comes in handy sometimes but after using it for a while it wears you out lol
@@BuildStuffwithAJ I need to discard it and come up with some jury rigged thing with a bs riving knife I suppose. Or buy a saw that costs more than 35$.

Very nice job! I think I will have my nephew make me one. Love using pallet wood!
Its definitely one of the cheapest sources of wood
I saw different designs (videos) and i like yours. Looks simple and it works.
I'll built it!
Thanks for share it.
I'm glad you liked the video! Let me know how it comes out! Thank you for the comment!
Any pallet pry bar that works and gets the job done gets my vote. 👍
Amen to that! I did one by hand and decided I needed to build something to make it go faster lol

@@fishmut year slot of the pallets I come across are made from the same rubbish wood. Every now and again I come across a hardwood. But not too often

Very nice
Thank you! I'm glad you liked the video!
Super nářadí, kdyby se to tak dal koupit v Čechách
How thick is the angle iron?
its been a while since i used it, but i think its 1/8" thick
Awesome video. Wish I had one of those, but I don’t do metal work. Can I buy yours?
Sorry mine isn't for sale but it's definitely heavy duty lol
Great video mate, keep up the good work.
Thank you! I'm glad you liked the video! Thanks for the comment!
Hey are you sheet metal worker i seen the logo on your shirt . I used to work for local in the state of Michigan
Yes sir I am, local 110 in Kentucky
Dimensions and metal thickness please. Can yours withstand the tough near hardwood pallet ?
All the dimensions are in the description of the video as well as links to the tools and materials you can use. And yes I have broken apart a lot of hard wood pallets
I enjoyed watching the project but could not overlook the fact that you were using your Craftsman Table saw for a welding table.
Wow- what kind of a man would do that?
Hahah, The kind who doesnt have another table that isn't made of wood lol.
Did you use a mig welder or a flux core that bill nice work
It was a flux core welder I used, I would much rather have a good mig set up though. They do a lot better!
How many hours did it take to that tool? Thanks
Honestly it didn't take very long, but I work with metal every day so that makes a difference. It might have taken me 2 maybe 3 hours. It Honestly took longer for the paint to dry than it did to build it lol
You’ll get tons of use out of that, I had to reinforce mine but it’s all cool now, great video buddy 🍻👍👍👍👍
I've already got my next couple projects lined up! I love the idea of free wood, and this pallet buster makes it a lot easier to break them down!
Looks like you need to use a gas shielded wire gives you a cleaner weild

Ok. Nota 10
Is it bad that I have screw envy from your saw insert? I can't find that stupid thing anywhere.
Well the saw insert is pretty important so u dont blame you lol
@@BuildStuffwithAJ I need to discard it and come up with some jury rigged thing with a bs riving knife I suppose.
Or buy a saw that costs more than 35$.
Nails stay in the stringers because of the type of nails and kind of wood; NOT the tool used to lever the boards apart.
First step; become a welder 👨🏭
You dont have to be a pro to get the job done on something like this, you just need access to a welder and a little practice
