      you know, I can honestly say, "I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO HAVE SEEN ONE" although it turned out to be large marge in a black costume with her little phone camera doing who knows what, for a little under a minute, (I could have sworn on my life and the blood line of my entire family line, I was seeing a Sasquatch! It felt so incredible, I thought this video is going to change the world! I thought we had it! So did the guys behind the viewer screen behind me. My heart was in the throat! Then it, she, steps out in the clearing and a rug saw pulled from under my feet, "Johnny swept the leg) and the reality of what it was was crushing! But, looking back, I know the actual feeling of what it is like. For 48.125 seconds, I was watching Bigfoot! Turned out to be big ass!

    I am just an average guy, but I saw one too at Picton Point which was a very remote shut-down logging camp assessable only by boat in a very remote place on the British Columbia coast in 1974. I was deer hunting with my father, who at the time was the head of the RCMP. This Sasquatch was standing behind a tree peering around at me. I froze, it walked away diagonally from me into thick bush. I was 14 at the time, I told my dad after I met up with him. Showed him where I saw it, and dad looked at the huge footprints and turned white. I will never forget that.

    I used to stay on a private ranch 20 miles to the north. I wasn't a believer until I spent some time out there now I know it exists after it chased some deer to where I was standing. The deer lost all fear of me when they had to choose between me and whatever was chasing them and throwing impossibly huge rocks at them. It left me alone so I left it alone 🤷‍♂️
    One of my friends saw it one day while relieving himself. He was squating behind a log and it strolled out from behind him without the big guy noticing at first. My buddy sprang up and ran!! When he looked back he said it was walking away exactly like the Patterson Gillingham film. Like it wasn't scared or a threat but that it just didnt want to be left alone. My buddy left back home that night, then he disappeared for a longtime. When he came back he said it shook his reality that he lost it, he now will not absolutely go out in the woods. This is a man who saw extensive combat in the marines, hunted and spent his life outdoors. The outdoors was his life, he wanted to retire out in a cabin and hated the city. Now he lives in the city and won't leave.

      That's exactly how I was too. Except I was ambushed by a female . Should of died , almost did. Then later that night her father tracked me back to my dad's place . He came through the front door. Destroying it. It was ugly too. I was terrified for years . Lets put it this way Before my ambush I had 2 guns was 18 out of school. best shape of my life. Now I own 7 machine guns Ar-15's Ar-10's Ak's and even an Ar 15 pistol 7 shot shotguns pumps auto's and lots of pistols ,Bowie knives made out of car springs and railroad tracks. Tomahawks , hide aways. Glock 43 Glock 42 ,Ruger 357 mag snub, Ruger 38 snub , etc etc and I still am afraid. I go back in the mountains now again , but I look like a pirate Ak-47 , Glock 20 , Bowie ,hawk , hide away sp-101. 357 . It's to me the fact that they don't exist , till you are nose to nose with one . And I haven't met a friendly one yet. They all seem like they want to kill you. But I know I'm dead wrong because people keep telling me they are friendly teddy bears. This one lady named Snow White Bf expert they say ""she says they wouldn't hurt a fly"" She sells t-shirts and coffee cups . So she must know !!!!! Bill Munns solved the problem of determining the height of the creature. At first he used a replica camera and stock lens that he thought Patterson was using; but the size and measurements of the area and the creature were way off… He then got the notion that Patterson must have used a different lens… It turns out Patterson did… Munns changed and used a different lens that Patterson must have used…. It made all the difference. Munns estimated the creature to be between ‘7.2”-‘7.6”

    Love this kind of expedition. Great video. I don't think another Bigfoot will ever be spotted there though. Not necessarily because its been 55 years--although that likely plays a part, but even when Roger and Bob filmed the footage back then, logging road construction was just starting around the outskirts of the area. Now the logging roads are everywhere. So the area is no longer undisturbed in a way.

      One thing we did notice is lack of the typical wild game.
      I see more game on my front street in Shasta Lake than out in the Bluff Creek.
      woods.
      If Bigfoot exists, they would most likely move farther up the creek or back up in the headwaters of the South fork Smith river.

    I was attempting to get to the Patterson film location a few years ago. I got as close as the top of the adjacent hilltop. I was in an area that was completely torn up. Trees were broken, all kinds of stick structures, tracks...ect. Then I realized that this place was actually a place they spent a lot of time in. I was alone at the time, but two other researchers were a couple hundred yards away when they call blasted a whoop. Almost immediately from another adjacent hilltop and sounds of crashing through the trees heading directly to where I was. It was loud and as it got closer, I realized there were two running directly at me. They must not have known I was there. I stepped out from behind the bush and announced my presence. Both squatche's dropped to the ground with a thud. It sounded like a sack of concrete being dropped. They were obviously communicating with each other talking back and forth. Then suddenly they were behind me??? I have no idea how they managed to go past me without seeing them. They were more interested in who or what just whooped. The other researchers had no Idea they were approached by them. I left the area. We all went back to the location the next morning and there were two very large trees crossing the trail forming a giant X. It meant....stay out and it was meant for us.

    (18:34) The Bigfoot was observed and filmed by Roger Patterson in October 10, 1967. It is june 12, 2023, now. This youtube video was created 2 yrs ago (about 2021). This means an elapsed time span of about 54 yrs. Patterson was in a humid, wet area, when he sighted the Bigfoot. The area was not arid and dry like in the Sahara. I would expect all the stumps and brush in the Patterson's video to have decayed by half a century worth of time -- all turned into top soil. And the trees that were in Patterson's video would be much thicker, taller, and huge owing to half-a-century worth of growth.

    The first time I saw the Patty footage as a kid I instantly thought "That's clearly a guy in a suit." Then later on while I was in my 20's and started smoking weed and came across experts that analyzed the film, talked with costume designers who said a suit like that couldn't be done in the late 60's even by Hollywood etc..I started thing "Wow, I think Patty might actually be the real deal, it's a real Bigfoot." Years later after digging further into Patterson and how he wrote a book like the year before, sketched a Bigfoot in there that looked exactly like what he caught on his camera (even the breasts) read about how he owed people money and wasn't the most honest guy. Was willing to pay a guy 1,000 bucks to put his suit on and stage the event. It shows the guy walking like Patty into a bar and that was the walk no doubt (he even passed two lie detector tests)
    When I put it all together I realized my initial BS detector that was working fine as a kid was the correct assumption. 50 years later that footage is head and shoulders above everything we have since including trail cams, drones etc..and the guy who just happened to write a Bigfoot book a year or two before finding one that looked identical to what he sketched, rented and hauled around a camera in 1967 and with all the luck in the world was able to capture one just strolling beside the creek bed.. It's very apparent to me that the whole thing was staged. What I assumed as a kid was correct. It only changed briefly when I left my common sense at the door and started buying into all these "experts" and costume designers saying it was so real it'd be impossible to fake. Even then I thought to myself "Really? That's crazy because it still really looks like a guy in a suit to me but what do I know.." Later on when I put the pipe down and researched a bit further into Patterson and all the characters that were part of the hoax, I just had to laugh at myself and shake my head. I think most people who view it for the first time see a guy in a suit without any backdrop to the story. It's only after getting it pounded into their head that it'd be impossible to fake combined with them wanting Bigfoot to exist that they buy into it all.
    There might be creatures out there like Bigfoot, who knows..there seems to be something to it when it comes to peoples stories and that weird dna sample I heard about. What I'm 99 percent sure about is that the Patty footage is an obvious hoax. I don't fault people who believe in it, even I did for a period of time even though I still wasn't very convinced.

    • @PHARRAOH
      @PHARRAOH  2 роки тому +1

      but then, why, how, is it, NO ONE has been able to duplicate or better it even with modern stuff? makes me wonder

    • @perpetualmotion357
      @perpetualmotion357 2 роки тому +1

      @@PHARRAOH I understand where you're coming from. I have heard this said but my personal problem with it is that at least for me it has always looked like a guy in a suit. I never thought that it looked like a Bigfoot and then debated to myself that maybe it's someone dressed up. It's always seemed the other way around. It wasn't until they tried to clean it up and repeat it walking back and forth focusing in on things and hearing the "experts" say that the muscle is moving etc.. That was the only time I was almost trying to convince myself that maybe it was real.
      The only way we could see if anybody could do it better would be to take the exact type of camera and film and have like 100 different people with 100 different costume designers and have them mimic the same thing at the location with the same lighting and focus etc..Then maybe we could have more of a debate on whether anyone could have done it better. Regardless, I enjoyed your video. I find it good that people share different opinions. Just knowing more of the backstory about Patterson and the guy who supposedly was Patty on top of already being skeptical was pretty much the nail in the coffin for me.
      There still could be Bigfoot out there. I'm skeptical but there's always a possibility. Some people think that since they believe the Patterson footage was a hoax that it debunks the notiion there is one and that's flawed thinking.

    The sasquatch have gone from the area since its been opened up by logging roads. At the time Patterson and Gimlin saw the Bigfoot in 1967 they were 30 miles in the bush from the nearest road on horseback. They only started seeing its prints because a new logging road had been cut into the virgin forest where they started off from. This is an intelligent and very wary hominid closely related to humans. In fact it may very well be in the human family.

There is plenty of thick forested space to hide something in these mountain valleys. Where you guys are at, 10-15 square miles of that would be plenty. Need to get another one on video. Wonder if logging and the advance of man has pushed them to extinction. Native Americans painted them on cave walls. They weren’t making that up

    It always amazes me that ridiculous weights of the animal are still tossed around all these years later, like 250 pounds? I am just under 6 ft. tall, and a medium to thin frame, and I weight about 180 pounds? This animal was about 1-1/2 feet taller than me, about two feet wider, and all around, at least twice my bulk. A 200 pound man "doubled" isn't 400 pounds, but about 600 pounds, as weight is the cube (200+200+200) and increases volumetrically. Most people will see an animal that weights 700 pounds and think it weighs about 300 pounds as many are notoriously bad at guessing weight. The creature also had huge thick legs, arms, and very wide shoulders - not to mention, a deep girth around the middle region of the body. The weight WAS determined by the depth of the footprints right after the sighting, in the sandbar. This much is known. The animal had to weight about 600-900 pounds based on scientific analysis. Which would make perfect sense for a large very bulky animal that was about 7 feet tall and mostly muscle. Just as a large elk would weight a similar amount. I wish the researchers would finally get this little known fact right, because it really underscores the validity of the sighting, and reinforces the fact this was a real animal, and not any man in a fur suit. Also, they need to make a large rock (maybe a few tons in weight) and inscribe it at the precise location to demark where Roger P. took the film for future generations since this event is practically a national treasure.

      Do you, personally, believe there are still a few of them left, I personally believe there were some scattered here and there. We used to be many sightings by Mount st. Helens before the volcano erupted. I always thought years after the volcano some remains would be found but it wasn't to be a guess. Something's may always be a mystery

    I love the hard work put into this but I want to add that a re-edit with the hand held photos put in with video editor in full screen and some clarifications. Like I am finding myself wondering alot about what your talking about exactly in relation to the photo to the land marks (artifacts).

    Well that's one "bucket list box checked off" for you. Congrats !!!
    Question : Has anyone in this group run across any foot print's in this area lately?
    I always hoped that as technology improved with time we would catch up with Patty or one of her relatives.
    Maybe it will happen in our lifetime. Finger's crossed !!!!

      there were some that "could, possibly" be but the native tribes say they have seen it many time not too far away on their land near some canyon where they practice medicine and tribal heritage.
