I read about a trans woman who discovered that she is actually intersex and has a functioning uterus. She was able to get pregnant through IVF and give birth via Cesarean section. So according to Walsh, is she a man or a woman? If a woman is someone who can get pregnant, then she must be a woman. But she was born with a penis and testicles and was assigned male at birth. So which is she? The truth is, she is an intersex woman. She is a woman because that is her identity, and her sex is somewhere between male and female on the bimodal spectrum that is biological sex. But of course, Matt Walsh and people like him cannot conceive of such nuance, and they certainly cannot cope with actual facts. But i wonder how he'd react to that and how he would answer the question.
Sex is not a spectrum and being intersex doesn't invalidate that fact. Sex is the function to produce one of the 2 large gametes, ova or sperm. Intersex and trans have nothing to do with each other, completely different things. And one is not assigned sex at birth they are observed and identified, that's another fact.

In his argument what would still make you human is the rest of your physical and biological characteristics that are human though. A person may be horribly deformed, but they wouldn't need to tell you that they are human for you to know that they are human. But if they're born without legs at all, have fins and gills, need water to survive, and have no human characteristics, they probably actually are a fish.

I guess one would have to concede that in this instance we do use a biological term in social context but this is a rather ineffectual decision for our society and it’s a personal way families of adopted parents refer to each other. Aside from maybe some medical stuff, there really isn't any lawful expectations on you for being man or woman or whatever, at least on paper. For parents on the other hand, there's a ton of legal and ethical stuff attached (who do you live with, who's your emergency contact, parental consent forms, etc.). Building off of that, I couldn't tell you what your value as a man or woman would be, but I could easily tell you what a good or bad parent is like.

Male or female just means biology I suppose we call people who undergo surgery that make them similar or the same as people born that gender to differ between those who were born that way vs surgery. Simply put it is a gender expression that is associated with females, not exclusive. Males can also express traits that are associated with femininity. This means that a male could also be a woman, hence Transwoman. The definition "a woman is an adult female" is not incorrect as a definition. An adult female is indeed a woman. But it is not an argument for exclusivity. Intersex women and transwomen are also women.

Here's my argument against the whole genetic abnormality when it comes to intersex. Red hair is a seperate hair color, yet it is also a genetic abnormality as common as intersex. Intersex is a seperate sex.
It's not, intersex exist within the male/female binary, it confirms the human binary. Every intersex person is either male or female. That is what we have come to learn, that male isn't just XY and female isn't just XX. Male can also be XXY, XYY, even XX can also be male (literally called XX male syndrome). Woman isn't just XXX, but can also be XO XXX, and yes, even XY can be female (you guessed it, XY female syndrome or swyer). We can even go extremer, like XXY female. XXY is normally a male syndrome, klinefelter syndrome. But if the SRY gene (which steers male development), which is normally present on the Y chromosome, isn't present or doesn't function, you get an XXY female, which for all intents and purposes develops the same as a regular XX female, because the additional Y doesn't do anything.

The problem with your question is that your intended idea of manliness is based on stereotype. Technically, Trans people have something "wrong" with them in the sense that their gender identity doesn't match their physical body or the gender norms associated with their physical body. If everything was as it should be, there would be no need for medical or social transition. But that's why we should be affirming and validating that struggle, offering medical care when they need it, encouraging and uplifting trans communities and voices, and not shunning or ridiculing trans people, in the same way that it would be unacceptable to act that way towards someone with a physical disability.

Adding on Vaush's comments on "Hating the concept of Souls" and I agree. Although even as an anti-theist i love using religious characters and concepts in the stories i am writing, using things about like Souls disturbs me, because like many religioys concepts, its inherently abusive. The idea of a soul implies that the life you have on Earth isnt precious, because you will just "go somewhere else" once dead. Its also a great excuse for Cult Leaders using Abrahamic Faiths to abuse their followers and say "Dont worry, your soul will live better thanks to your submission to me!"

I completely agree with you. Christians and Islamic extremists cannot wait to die. Christians believe the rapture will happen any day (and they've been saying this for centuries), so they don't think there's any point of combating climate change. They think unstable weather is a sign of the Rapture. The belief in a soul is just a massive cope to our finite existence

I think the negative outcomes are not due to the concept of souls themselves but putting them in the context of an afterlife with some sort of punishment/reward system etc.
souls can also go along with reincarnation, your time on earth is still precious and important because it may determine who you will be next.

if a person is born with 1 leg they are still a human that is what he was saying. If a person is born with xx chromosomes then they are a female. Nothing went wrong. If they can't get pregnant then that female had something go wrong where her body cannot get pregnant. It doesn't stop her from being a female because she still has xx chromosomes...
