It can't be easy doing crowd work. Comedians get what they get and have to make the most of it. This set makes it seem like Troy needs more practice regardless of what type of audience he gets.

I think the lighting was terrible, and it has an impact on the audience and energy of the show. People will laugh to more weird/ dark jokes the more they feel unseen.
Troy excels at improv when he’s in his element. I recommend you check out his crowd work some of them are really funny and he’s quite witty with his replies. He’s also newer to the comedy scene so he’s not going to be some seasoned veteran.
For the record, dreadlocks aren't exclusive to black culture. They date back to many different cultures. The earliest known representation of dreadlocks dates back to ancient Greece.

It’s easy to have a good set. It’s much harder to have a rocky set and still generate laughs

I don’t think the crowd’s terrible, I just don’t think he’s that funny.

Crowd was vanilla af. Some of the best of the cuff bits I eva heard
This is gold, gold flying over most of their heads hahah
The setting is too spacious ... Crowd was mid. But this was good practice for Troy
Right?? Bad crowds give great insight to a performer. Those are the best constructive criticism with no actual words exchanged needed.
Defo, need a personal connection for this set.
Underrated, love this man 🤗

@1:48 - LMAO why are we doing burning man if we know the planet is on fire? DEAD 💀
I think he did good man. This crowd was harsher than most.
Man its hard doing anything on the spot lol.
Some people really work better under pressure.
For something on the spot this honestly wasn’t that bad at all and he kept his composure even with the energy being off
Absolutely LOVE Troy Bond’s sense of humor!!!
It resonates.
