I'm 51 in UK and have luckily never really been concerned about the future. The last 2 yrs have changed all that. This authoritarian push by variious Western Govs is majorly worrying.

Im 52 and in the UK with a 16 year old boy whose main worry used to be making sure he did well in school for his future. Now Im not sure of his future at all. If only I knew the madness that was to come. Its terrifying.

I live by a harbor and have fisherman in the family, who have boats in marinas, in the last 50 years the sea level has not risen any higher that's a fact I don't think the twerp that is standing in water has a clue nor has his cronies.

In the meantime, India and China only last week informed the world that they were massively increasing their coal mining for power generation. Kremlin has declined wheat orders until the end of June. They regularly do that, almost every year, to ensure that there is sufficient wheat for their own people until the next year's harvest. Notwithstanding sanctions, Scholz demanded that Russia should take responsibility for feeding Europe. Nothing like political double-speak.
Also China is building bridges creeping into India.

Indeed, having given up on the UK a decade ago I'm happily hiding away in 3rd world Asia; where traditional values are strong, the streets are safe, the weather is fantastic, people smile at strangers and everyone seems to know what kind of people have todgers.
I have learned more about the world in the last 5 years than in the previous 40..........And that was through self-educating and avoiding the news media channels altogether, sort of learning that almost everything we ever thought we knew as a truth..........isnt.
