Only minor issue I had was that my shifter button would stick and always go to my easiest gear on the rear derailleur but that has seen been fixed (not sure how, perhaps software update). Shifting is so smooth, app is great. It’s only going to get better from here. Has not experienced any problems in Vancouver winter(rain heavy weather). I’ve charged the groupset twice. This is the content I’m here for. Gotta say though, with the price of 105 di2 dropping a tonne in the last year, L-Twoo probably needs to do something to differentiate this product from di2.

Good video man. Rim brakes and mechanical shifting on my road bike till I die. I keep everything clean, lubed and fine tuned myself, so everything works flawlessly. Very few things that can go wrong on mechanical if properly maintained. Lots more stuff that can go wrong on electronic shifting. Even a simple battery contact will stop everything from working. Or a simple dry joint in the electronic printed circuit. Not for me thanks. To each their own 👍🏼☮️
I agree ,I do all my own work so I never had a problem but I have 10 roadbikes so I wanted to try these & for the price it was hard to pass up compared to shimano
agree on rim brakes but thinking that e-shift should be more certain. I never was happy with shifting but I have to say I never owned SRAM Red or Dura-Ace, Ultegra maybe that's why. I have Rival and 105 and never 100% happy.
Hi Luke, my erx was working faultlessly for about 3 months which with the amount of riding i do is about 1000ish miles, then after a recharge of the batteries the shifters no longer worked. I could shift gears using the app but the shifters weren't playing. I changed the coin style batteries in the shifter and tried to bind the shifters to the derailleurs. But no joy. Like you i replaced the rear derailleur with one i had on another bike i have just built and immediately everything started working as it should do. So there is definitely a problem with the rear derailleur. I am now in communication with Ltwoo to try and get this sorted and hopefully get a replacement rear derailleur under warranty.
@@YOLOSWAG420EZ Eventually got a replacement rear derailleur under warranty. Although there were a lot of emails to and thro and I had to email a video of the rear derailleur not working. They told me it was probably water ingress. The replacement has had no issues so far even in torrential rain.
I'm using a ERX groupset too. I had an issue after cleaning the bike, but after some days de rear derailleur back to work. Soon I will post a review too :) Aaaand I'm want to test the gravel electronic groupset.
Dammit, this is way more interesting than I'd hoped for. I was pretty comfortable in my mechanical bubble. 😂 Thanks, Luke! You've once again earned your 🥖🥖🥖
On our local flee market, the brand new 105 Di2 electric components are cheaper than Ltwoo right now. Thanks for your testing and video. Thanks brave Ltwoo for challenging Shimano. We can have cheap 105 right now.
Two wishes for them: 1. be able to cope with some unusual gravel/touring gearing choices e.g. 42T in the back and a tiny subcompact double in the front. 2. satellite shift buttons for aerobars
Hi Luke. I’m still on my LTWOO eRX groupset and loving it. Been flawless apart from the intermittent multiple downshifting which, after some Tweaking using the app, seems to have gone. One other thing I’ve notice though is crash mode. I think there is one. I was climbing a steep hill, was up on the pedals, changed gear and heard a loud snap. After that the whole groupset stopped working. No manner of button pressing would wake it up. The only way to get it up and running again was to limp home on one gear and attach the charging cable. All perfect again. Weird. In future I think I’ll carry with me a 9v battery and a fashion a similar magnetic charging lead to prevent it happening again. Of course I’ll be buying the rechargeable 9v battery and lead from Ali Express! I’ll let you know how I go. Love you chanel. JP
I'll still keep using mechanical groupsets as they are still significantly cheaper and they have historically been supported for longer periods (the more sustainable option) but we will see with the rollout of Shimano CUES as this may change. Keep up the good work Luke! 🥖🥖🥖🥖🥖🥖🥖🥖

12 months in, the shifters have lost connectivity to the mech. The gears will still change using the phone app. Replaced both batteries in the shifters but can't seem to re-pair the shifters with mech. Very disappointed as until recently this groupset was working really well.
Early adopter of erx here. At first the groupset charging light didn't flash. Battery ran low very quickly, i had to send my battery pod (expensive :/, but let's call it ocassional chinesium tax) they told me they would refund me the shipping costs, but it hasn't happened since the say they can't give me money, i guess i could ask for some brake pads, not ideal but i would eventually need them anyways. At the end it was the RD causing the problem. They sent me a replacement RD (half of the cage was aluminum lol) i swapped for the original carbon cage mainly because black paint/anodizing? falls very easily. Everything smooth since then. My only complaint is that trimming is not always perfect while in the middle of the cassette, sometimes i have to trick the groupset to use the next cog trim setting for the front derrailleur by up-shifting -> trim -> down-shifting again, maybe i am not adjusting my groupset right.
As a geek this appeals but as a practical rider I prefer the inherent simplicity of a conventional cable operated derailleur. Modern shifters are so good now, I struglle to comprehend the problem a costly amd less serviceable electronic shifter brings. Auto trim is cool I guess and elimjnates the need for understanding trimming?
I installed the product about 6 months ago and traveled 2000km. I'm not satisfied at all: I've got a SRAM 12s 10-28 cassette and a Racework 170mm 50-34 at the front. The front derailleur has a lot of difficulty going from small to large, I tried to adjust the limits from the application but if you exceed it the chain falls. The rear derailleur is not that bad but you have to spend a lot of time making micro adjustments on the gears as it is very imprecise. I wanted to try it after watching several videos but my advice is to spend a little more by purchasing a SRAM or Shimano so you can be sure of perfect functioning. Customer service is almost non-existent, they respond with messages from a bot and after a long time.
Good to know, that finally there is solid Chinese competitor to vastly expensive Shimano and SRAM systems. Do we already know which price range L2 is targeting? Cheers.
My rear derailleur on my er9 has developed a strange fault over the weekend. Mid ride it stopped working. I've un plugged it plugged it back in and charged it now it refuses to go into the 5 easiest gears. It's as if it's forgotten where it is🤷♂️

Sadly mine died today during a ride. Not even 6 month old. Rear derailleur motor turns but the derailleur is stuck in the smallest cog. Went there from the middle of the cassette by itself. Neither a reset, new shifter battery nor charging the main battery does anything. Front derailleur is working still fine...
Have you tried the 'Calibration' setting on the app? This resets whatever position the rear derailleur is in to gear 7, then allows you to shift either side of that. Can help if it has 'lost' it's position.
Yeah I did try that. No movement Together with ltwoo it was diagnosed as a gearbox failure and they will send me a new rear derailleur. Annoying but at least I will be operational soon enough.
I did my first ride, 60km battery 86% when back, weird it's double of your battery consumption. Only thing is I have to better setup the front derailleur. The in between shift goes really close to the chain
i have just finish my bike nd i mounted a ER9, it was the cheaper solution, and all the process went smooth. the most complicated part has been (or maybe "is") the fine tune of the front derailleur. i really don't know if the issue is related to my setup but it is complicated.

8:18 Hi, why this new "blue version" still not available ? i'm seeing it on their wabsite but impossible to found where to buy.. do you have any info ?
I've had mine for about a month, and I don't know if there's something wrong with it or not. The shifters don't seem to shift well under load (going up a hill) and sometimes I'll have to his the upshift button on the rear derailleur and it will do nothing. I've tried everything I can think of but can't seem to get it to work. All batteries are good and it shifts flawlessly when it works, but at other times it seems as if it goes into a sleep mode. The inability to shift going up hills is killing me though. Anyone else experience this and if so, how'd you get it resolved?
Hi, maybe someone have problem like mine with ER9 ? I tried to shift both derailleurs at the same time. Front from big to small and back vice versa. Ended up in a half shifted gear and a complete dead groupset. Has anyone had this problem before? And is there a hack to bring it back to life without attaching the charging cable?
I have the Ltwoo groupset too. But the alloy Version. No issues with water till now. But had a crash and one shifter broke. Contacted the Store and got spare parts very fast and no big payments. I rode the bike the hole last Winter in Germany. So gar only the issue with Garmin. Always at start up i got the message tha the battery is empty. But 10 Seconds later after quit the message the battery is full. And i think IT would be better to have some cover over the charging Port.
@stefank1542 is there any way to index the groupset without the app? i.e. just pressing buttons on the levers/derailleurs (if there's any) to enter and indexing mode and do it without a phone?

This is the content I’m here for.
Gotta say though, with the price of 105 di2 dropping a tonne in the last year, L-Twoo probably needs to do something to differentiate this product from di2.
After checking the reviews on LTwoo weeks ago I bought 2 sets of the original a ER9(alum.), ERX(carbon) & just came back from another ride,I have everything fine tuned, the app is incredible, I have 10 roadbikes only these 2 are disc a Merckx San Remo 76 & a Emonda Sl6 Pro ,Im very impressed with these sets ,I just hope they come out with a rim version,I see the other chinese group Wheeltop have the rim version so Ill see ,I wanna stick with LTwoo ,if anyone wants to save lots of $$$ these sets are great & unlike Shimano u can set the app for any speed so ur not locked in to 9,10,11,12 also the brakes are crazy good, easily lock up the tires
Impressive update good to see the issues have been resolved.. still mechanical for me 😊 Pete 🚴🏻👍
I praise you for having the patience for this unfinished crap! The lack of reliability and unknowns…. Would drive me mad. Need stuff to work!
Because it's not immune to crash damage?
Moustache magnifique!🎉🎉 Sad to hear of the slide out but glad to hear it was only a week off. Enjoy the thorough and comprehensive work as always, more funnies!!😊
I love the eRX. 8 months. I run 11 speed now to match my other bike. Cheaper chains and can share wheels.
Looking forward to seeing the Blue Edition improvements 🥖
Love the content, digging the stache.
I would love an update to this. Main worry I have is customer support/replacement stuff.
@@arviddh Still having problems with communication with Ltwoo.
@@timjames4562 thinking of getting some Chinese groupsets, how did your refunding go?
@@YOLOSWAG420EZ Eventually got a replacement rear derailleur under warranty. Although there were a lot of emails to and thro and I had to email a video of the rear derailleur not working. They told me it was probably water ingress. The replacement has had no issues so far even in torrential rain.
I'm using a ERX groupset too.
I had an issue after cleaning the bike, but after some days de rear derailleur back to work.
Soon I will post a review too :)
Aaaand I'm want to test the gravel electronic groupset.
Dammit, this is way more interesting than I'd hoped for. I was pretty comfortable in my mechanical bubble. 😂
Thanks, Luke! You've once again earned your 🥖🥖🥖
Very good review
On our local flee market, the brand new 105 Di2 electric components are cheaper than Ltwoo right now.
Thanks for your testing and video. Thanks brave Ltwoo for challenging Shimano. We can have cheap 105 right now.
I've just put the ERX on a gravel frame as I'll be primarily riding on the road and it's been a dream! I just need two more for some other builds.
Two wishes for them:
1. be able to cope with some unusual gravel/touring gearing choices e.g. 42T in the back and a tiny subcompact double in the front.
2. satellite shift buttons for aerobars
Compré el grupo LTWOO R9 gracias a tus videos. Siempre llego tarde a las tendencias jajaja
Thanks for the update, interested to see how the new grp works out.
I would love to see a mainstream brand feature this as a bundled group set.
Thank you for another great video.
I hope you can release a video of the blue edition...
JP
Your chanel! 🤭
I'll still keep using mechanical groupsets as they are still significantly cheaper and they have historically been supported for longer periods (the more sustainable option) but we will see with the rollout of Shimano CUES as this may change. Keep up the good work Luke! 🥖🥖🥖🥖🥖🥖🥖🥖
Isn’t Cues already out? Or are they planning an electronic version?
@@lbgstzockt8493CUES is Shimano's budget mechanical groupset. No plans for an electronic groupset yet. Not sure how it will be supported long term.
Looking forward to the blue edition build. On the short list for a winter build later in the year. Hopefully out in the UK by then.
Not likely...
Bought the erx groupset from panda podium. Amazing experience. Only one issue the hand shifter wouldn’t bleed. Panda podium are going to replace the left hand shifter. Amazing customer service. Hopefully the new shifter turns up 🥖🥖🥖
Is there any way to do the indexing without the need of using the app but relying on physical buttons only?
Oh to be a 3d rendered cheetah from a chinese bike component manufacturer on the Serengeti. I could only dream.
just built a mechanical 11sp Tri bike for now as im waiting for ltwoo or wheeltop to release electronic tri satellite shifter ver 🙏
Ahh that would be awesome ,the cherry on top
12 months in, the shifters have lost connectivity to the mech. The gears will still change using the phone app. Replaced both batteries in the shifters but can't seem to re-pair the shifters with mech. Very disappointed as until recently this groupset was working really well.
Yes finally!!!!!
My only complaint is that trimming is not always perfect while in the middle of the cassette, sometimes i have to trick the groupset to use the next cog trim setting for the front derrailleur by up-shifting -> trim -> down-shifting again, maybe i am not adjusting my groupset right.
from pandapodium: "The “Blue Edition” won’t be available til the second half of 2024."
I was wondering how to make sure you'd get the Blue edition... thanks for the date info.
I prefer the look of the ltwoo comoared to the wheeltop but still no sign of ltwoo supoorting rim brakes on erx 😢
Would you do also for wheeltop?
It's as if it's forgotten where it is🤷♂️
I think I know how to fix this, drop me an email, and I'll give you a hand
@@TraceVelo thanks I will be InTouch
go into the app & hit reset
Luke is Our wallet hero and save the day❤
Bought erx last night, sent back to seller after the FD dead this morning 😅
Ciao Luke!!! I'm really impressed seeing your third-person action video. Why not making a video about that? In particular about on how to mount the camera on the bike and what to use to do so (I tried with insta360 one r, with very bad results), so it would be interesting to know some advices from you!! Bye!
LTW00 product safety seems to be lacking
I bought it, but it doesn't connect to my phone.
I searched and it seems to be different for each phone. Phone A connects, but Phone B doesn't connect
Unstable.
Tempted but I see the price on aliexpress is around £450. Apparently the customs duty is 14%. On top you need to pay 20% VAT. Anyone had any experience with the additional costs in the UK?
Problem with battery, can die at any time(and needs relacement if it happens) and has a water proofing issue. Sounds like anything but a good experience to most of us.
Thank you Luke! Do someone know if these shirfers will work with shimano calipers?
Yes ,that what I used
@@joehiatt1992 thanks
Holy shit i have never been this early

me neither! bloody miracle because i love the fella
TWSS!
然而在国内依然要等挺长时间才有大量现货可以买到,但是据车店老板说目前已经有品牌整车装新版套件了
Sadly mine died today during a ride. Not even 6 month old. Rear derailleur motor turns but the derailleur is stuck in the smallest cog. Went there from the middle of the cassette by itself. Neither a reset, new shifter battery nor charging the main battery does anything. Front derailleur is working still fine...
Have you tried the 'Calibration' setting on the app? This resets whatever position the rear derailleur is in to gear 7, then allows you to shift either side of that. Can help if it has 'lost' it's position.
Yeah I did try that. No movement
Together with ltwoo it was diagnosed as a gearbox failure and they will send me a new rear derailleur. Annoying but at least I will be operational soon enough.
I can wait for the tx
I did my first ride, 60km battery 86% when back, weird it's double of your battery consumption. Only thing is I have to better setup the front derailleur. The in between shift goes really close to the chain
i have just finish my bike nd i mounted a ER9, it was the cheaper solution, and all the process went smooth. the most complicated part has been (or maybe "is") the fine tune of the front derailleur. i really don't know if the issue is related to my setup but it is complicated.
Bonus clips was one fine 🥖
Hi just bought a ltwoo gr7 Hydraulic 1x10 group set but what brake fluid should I be using. 👍
I'm trying to build an er9 model .. questions: What are the olive and pin you used on the hydrolic cable when building ? As there seems to be 2 standards bh90 and bh59
GREAT question, it's all bh59. Bh90 is the newer shimnao standard with smaller diameter brake hose
@TraceVelo Great, so I should use the bh59 on er9 and erx?
@@FreddeeLewisYep, correct BH59!
@FreddeeLewis Although it does come with enough brake hose and 2x barbs and olives out of the box, but it's good to have spares!
thank you
8:18 Hi, why this new "blue version" still not available ? i'm seeing it on their wabsite but impossible to found where to buy.. do you have any info ?
Any chance you could show the dismantling of the shifter? I accidentally overtightened my brake tension screw and it came out 😢
hello where can we buy new ltwoo blue edition I couldn't find it. the one is not found why?
I've had mine for about a month, and I don't know if there's something wrong with it or not. The shifters don't seem to shift well under load (going up a hill) and sometimes I'll have to his the upshift button on the rear derailleur and it will do nothing. I've tried everything I can think of but can't seem to get it to work. All batteries are good and it shifts flawlessly when it works, but at other times it seems as if it goes into a sleep mode. The inability to shift going up hills is killing me though. Anyone else experience this and if so, how'd you get it resolved?
How on earth is it possible that Luke hasn't reviewed the Mangene crank spider powermeter yet, he could fit it to any of his existing carbon cranks...
Люк как всегда молодец!
@@mtbiker8989 You need a phone and the app to make all the adjustments at the front and rear derailleur. W/O app you can do nothing like I know.
So the buttons are vulnerable, got it.
I would consider this if I could have it with post-mount calipers.
