    ps : What you could have mentioned is that the American Cemetery located at Colleville-sur-Mer (near Omaha Beach) is actually an American territory ! The land was given to the U.S after the war. So basically, this is like an embassy where France has no authority, hence only the American flag is raised ;-)

    Arromanches is the name of the town….the stuctures form an artifical Mulberry harbor.
