My first Neca was Homelander. I hope they make more. Ik they made Black Noir & Starlight. Rly want BN, A Train, & Solider Boy *and the rest but they’re my top ones
finally a proper review of these guys with very helpful size comparisons, thanks! A question. Given that 1/12 is 1 inch=1 foot and karl urban is 6'1, would you say that the mafex butcher is accurately sized for the 1/12 scale (also taking into account that the hair and boots adds some extra height to the figure which , of course, should be substacted from the figure height (just as we do when measuring people in real life!)
Sucks the Mafex Homelander doesn’t have the eye beams. Rly wanna get another McFarlane Superman (black suit & classic) and hollow out the eyes to give him eye beams too.
@@dHuntersReviews yeah, I made the mistake of watching the 1st episode of the 1st season with my family, and let’s just say, they were quite traumatized lol
Have you seen the FIGMA Homelander? I compared the two. Figma is waaaay better for play, and posing. Mafex is too fragile. I have 2 of each. If you wanna see it, you can check the video on my channel Mafex vs Figma. Do you think the Mafex cape was made from material, used to make mini USA flags? I do!
@@dHuntersReviews Figma's Homelander is the exact same size. I tweeted you a pic of them together. Both are 6 inches. The Figma's laser eye's attachment is really cool.
@@dHuntersReviews I know. Unfortunately it’s why I haven’t watched as many of your reviews lately. I like the large scaled Mcfarlane figures as they still fit with the scale I use mostly. You make good videos though.
When you bought it on ami ami was it a pre order or was it already released because the only one I can find is the pre order that comes in December and I’m curious how you got it in early could you help me out?
I preordered it, they became in stock and I paid. They do say preorder for December, maybe they sold all they initially got, not sure. Maybe if you preorder they will charge you quick I’m not sure
Same listing Either they sold their first batch and are waiting for me or they actually have it and it’s listed wrong I’m guessing they sold through their first batch
@@dHuntersReviews Yeah for some reason it wouldn’t play for about an hour after it popped up on my feed. I have both figures as well and wondered if you have similar problems. My Homelander Butterfly joints are very loose almost where it won’t hold a pose very well. It’s weird I guess I have to try seeing if I need to fix it somehow.
I also noticed that my Butcher hands that hold his crowbar isn’t tight it’s also very loose and slips out of his hands. Any recommendations on how to fix it? Would heating up then pinching it closed letting it cool off work?
It might work, mine wasn't holding the crowbar very well, might need to try different hands. You could tighten them that way, would probably help at least a little.
If you want these guys get them from plaza Japan, they cost 65$
Same with amiami

A Train is next from Neca
Gotta love owl butcher and homelander both look deadly, cool review as always 👍
Thx
My buddy is obsessed with Homelander and was showing me him man. Very awesome figure
A solid release

These are larger than true 1/12 scale
Similar to marvel legends probably 1/11 scale is more accurate
The video will not load for me so I’m gonna say great review probably
It’s working now
Odd…
@@dHuntersReviews it took 30 minutes
Wonder why
I scheduled it go to live at 3:30am because the checks were taking so long
if homelander have laughing head. I think it is complete. remove smile head
Would be appropriate
Sucks the Mafex Homelander doesn’t have the eye beams. Rly wanna get another McFarlane Superman (black suit & classic) and hollow out the eyes to give him eye beams too.
I am surprised that he did not come with eye beams and some breastmilk
@@dHuntersReviews 😂
Not joking
have u ever tried butcher head on a yamaguchi body? i was thinking to make a big boss from ground zeroes
No I have not…
Just curious, how is amiami’s shipping speed because I’m contemplating buying homelander from there
Very fast if you go DHL.
@@PunishedLasagna ok good to know thanks
Choose DHL and it’ll be faster and cheaper than any American site
You can choose cheaper shipping it takes like 4 weeks, DHL inky takes a few days!
@@dHuntersReviews how much does DHL usually cost
About $20? Not sure
Still comes out cheaper than bbts or one of those places that crazy up charges these figures
Same here lol I was happy to see it but it says unavailable
Odd…it work now?
What more articulation did you want in the biceps
I dunno had trouble turning their arms as much as I wanted
I haven’t watch the boy read a little of the comics
I am watching season one right now
@@dHuntersReviews I might watch it Eventually
So far it’s crazy

No I bet he’s insane small
I don’t get Figma for that reason
Usually smaller than 6 inches
And no I think it’s their regular cape material
@@dHuntersReviews Figma's Homelander is the exact same size. I tweeted you a pic of them together. Both are 6 inches. The Figma's laser eye's attachment is really cool.
In the photo you sent me he is considerably smaller
What website did you get it from
amiami.com
Mafex is good but not worth the price. The neca ones I think are better
I prefer the Neca ones because the scale, but these look a lot better.
Neca won't scale well if your collection is 1:12 scale plus the faces aren't as nice and are lifeless
Neca won’t scale well with 1:12, I prefer the 7 inch scale
That billy the butcher headsculpt is perfect I mean flawless the paint is great too looks just like the limey
Yeah, I am pleased with both of them, more so with Billy.
Love the scale. They fit with my collection. I’m not impressed with McFarlane or 7” figures.
I have the opposite preferences
At least these aren’t as small as sh figuarts

Biggest problem is they both want to look down too much.

I hope mafex makes the watchmen these look splendid medicom did a great job on this line.
That would be welcome!
