Its similar to when Gearbox released Battleborn, which got a brief period of popularity until Blizzard released Overwatch, which eclipsed Battleborn in terms of popularity.
Great to see a playthrough from someone who has experience with the game. Pit Fighter was ahead of its time in many ways, it had dash cancels and i-frames like modern beatem ups, and some of the characters can use these to do infinite combos.
Pit-Fighter is a game that aged like sour milk. It's a pretty bad game, for sure. But the Genesis version is a thousand-times better than the Super Nintendo version.

@@baalfgames5318 I believe it's because the game has no options menu, forgot to add some mechanics from the arcade (eg. the power pills), and you only have *ONE* lifebar to finish the game...
It's actually a good game and the Mega Drive port is brillant. You can find good infos @Sega-16, check out the dedicated topic (following the game's review), there are some interesting technical bits about the gameplay and all :)

The Genesis version is better than the SNES version, believe it or not. In the end, this game is a polished turd. No matter how good you polish a turd, it's still a turd.

What happiness to see this game from my childhood again. I couldn't resist shedding a tear for those times that are now behind us.
This was the game everybody loved for a few months until the Mortal Kombat ports came out

This was a great game! The arcade and genesis port proved it. The Snes port really screwed up though and made it awful
Just you beating pit fighter alone deserves 1M plus views...!!! Not to mention in record times in each match...!!!!
