I'm sorry, I couldn't finish this one. It seemed like every three or four paragraphs. We were told that Michael's position as a leader was "solidified". Or that the "challenges" weren't over, or that .... I suspect that if the story was edited to eliminate the senseless repetition it would be decreased by a minimum of a third possibly up to fifty percent. The base premise is a good one but the presentation destroys it. I feel like I'm listening to a third grade, USA level story. The AI language pronounciation was good. As I think on it though, I find myself wondering if this was an example of AI writing rather than just reading.

Right?? It feels like a self-insert story about the different outcast who finds himself the hero of eeverything, making no mistakes even though he hs zero clue what he is actually doing. And a very selfish MC as well. As the first human the galactic community apparently sees in a setting outside diplomatic circles, one would think he would worry aout how he represents the species. But no, its all about him and how HE looks to the others.
I suspect it was written by a teenage edgelord with a burning desire to write stories (possibly an outlet for frustrations and dreams, and I encourage them to keep writing to improve) and very few actual friends.
I see this story was made by the department of redundency department.
Michael is a good source of inspiration, the story is to be appreciated

Oh wow!. Damn AI programming is getting better every day: this one sounds more real simply by adding intakes of breath! So simple it's obvious, I've never heard it before, but it makes it sound _so_ much more real! Now they just need it vary the length of the breath more randomly, or relative to the length of the successive passage it's about to "read" as an experienced human reader will do. It's pretty good at that already, but noticeably imperfect.
And a proper English accent!

Incorrect! Actually depends on where/how the flag is displayed. On a military COMBAT uniform, the canton of stars is displayed as if it is being carried into battle. On all other displays, including non-combat uniforms, the canton is always to the upper left, such that on the right sleeve the canton of stars is to the left, while the stripes are to the right (as depicted in the pic; ie the canton of stars to the rear and stripes to the front from the observer's prospective), while on the left sleeve, the same is true, which from the observer's position would have the canton to the front and the stripes following.

We used to have to get permission from our parents to go on a school excursion. Apparently at this school parental permission is not required to send children over and over again to war. Call me crazy but why didn't the military do all of this???

this story sound like it was written ij chatgpt. i used messed around in story telling in chatgpt it always try to wrap up a segment in a good end. where mc somehow comes out victorious in the end. this story feels very similar to it. For example you introduced a bad situation and without the story chatgpt will say something on the lines the mc caught by surprised didn't give up using what they know or learned to lead his team to victory. Chatgpt stories are very repetitive. very easy to tell if someone used chatgpt to tell a story.
👎 Not worth listen to. A 13 yo with some ambitions could do better.
