We did get the video wall in and had it installed. One thing on our video wall if one 12"X12" square or block has a problem or loses pixels we can just remove it and plug a new one in.

To Run These do you HAVE to run the Media Master Express Software @ $ 1850.00 to buy ? Or Can you just hook the Laptop up to it and Run your Normal Set up you have been using at your church for the last 5 years ?
Hi BigHearted. You do not need to use Media Master software, but you do have to be able to set the output resolution of your computer to match that of the video wall.
Alternatively, you could connect the computer to a switcher/scaler to manage the resolution.

What could be the issue if you run an android based video output device and the novastar does not recognize the source and does nothing? Is the Novastar ONLY compatible with pc and mac?

With the Nova configuration laptop - do you still have to leave it turned on running in the background after the configuration is saved ? or can you turn it off after the initial configuration and just let the content laptop feed the image to the processor ???

Hello Stan, once you do the configuration you do not need to run the Novastar software. If you are using a separate computer it can be turned off.

Verne the ADJ AV6 is an Indoor video wall. It can be used outdoors under extreme care without exposure to water or extreme heat or a dusty environment. For outdoor video walls you want to purchase one that is IP65 and ADJ has just introduced the AV4IP for Indoor and Outdoor use.

The processor RJ-45 cable is terminated terribly.. why're the wires crimped like that? I tough pull and the whole operation comes crumbling.
The one thing I must say about the ADJ AV^ Panels is ADJ goes through them with a fine tooth comb before they ever sell one . ADJ Has VERY HIGH STANDARDS on ALL of their equipment they sell . UNLIKE Most of the Panels you would Buy on your own out of China , unless you know the ins and outs on LED Panels DON'T BUY THEM . You will be Disappointed in so many ways . When you Buy a ADJ Panel in June of 2017 , When you Buy more in June of 2018 The colors will match because ADJ has taken the time to Go Through them to Color Match them all .. Big Thumbs up for ADJ ...

yes the sendingcard has en in the minimum en DVI input but wenn you don't have enoug pixel for 1080p in the videowal then the controller just take the pixel vrom your monitor from the upper Left. In this case iprefere the VX4 sendingcard this can scale your hole desktop to the screen.

Can all this be done with flat screen TV's, I've seen this at bars
Stacked TV screens can look a bit shit. You'll be able to see the bezels and the brightness would be awful in comparison to a video wall, but I guess it depends what you're after and how much brightness/resolution you need.

where are you based?
Good point Adrian, the reason the panels do not look optimized is based on viewing distance. This video was not planned for and we decided to do it improvised. The camera was placed close to the video wall and ideally on a 6mm video panel you want to view it at a distance of 25' or beyond. The tighter the Pixel Pitch (distance between pixels) the shorter the viewing distance or the higher the resolution.

I think having to use both a mac an PC is not good. All this should be able to run from either a mac or ec. Sorry this is a complicated method although u explained well. Next time show a way to use a single computer.
Thanks Cane Juice, the reason I used two computers was because the NovaStar software is only PC based and at the time of video shoot I did not have windows on my Mac.

Yes, NovaStar LCT software currently is only PC based. Heard a mac version may be available soon.

I recently started helping someone build these walls and we’ve run into this weird issue where when we wire the data cables in a left to right configuration, the wall doesn’t like it. But when we wire the data cables in an up & down configuration, it works perfectly fine. Is there any reason you know of that would stop the wall from displaying correctly when the wires are wired in a left to right configuration versus up & down and vice a versa?
Hi . I'm sorry to hear about the issue you've been experiencing. The first place I would look to trouble shoot is on the wall controller. You can change the wiring pattern of the wall in one of the sub-menus. Where that menu is varies on the processor. The most common processor we sell is the Novastar VX4S, and it’s under Screen Settings >> Data Flow.
I hope that helps. If that doesn't solve it or if you have additional questions, please let us know. I'll do my best to get answers for you.
Same issues
This usually happens when the data pattern in the Novastar software is the reverse of the physical wiring. Make sure that your "S" patterns match.

This is great hardware but absolutely horrible panel quality. Holy crap..
The answer is simple. Viewing distance is important. This is the AV6 and an optimal viewing distance for this panels is about 25ft. The camera is too close. But in real life if you are at 25ft or more it looks great.

For screens smaller than 85 inches, this LED wall isn't practical, but for the massive video walls and screens used at concerts and live events, this certainly isn't obsolete technology.
